Really cool movie. The action scenes, the characters, the camera work; it's all really good. Pretty funny too.
One of my all-time favorites. Partially because it has so many quotable bits, like Tom coming up with the best plan ever.
I actually liked Signs, I don't even consider it a guilty pleasure, it's definitely M Night's best film right after Unbreakable.

Lady in the Water, now that's a guilty pleasure.
No, The Room is a guilty pleasure. Lady in the Water is more like 'dude, you got brain damage or something'.
Total Recall - 8/10
That was bizarre, to say the least. More complex than I thought it would be, but had a pretty straightforward plot. I also expected it to be darker, something like Blade Runner, but it felt more like the Fifth Element, and, although it's not exactly a bad thing, I was disappointed. The pacing is pretty good: it starts out with not much to offer, but it gets to it quickly, it's almost like if they did a fast-forward to the good parts. I like how it isn't predictable, but once the movie ends, you look back and realize it actually was. [sp](they told him what the dream would be, and it's exactly what happens)[/sp]
I'm done watching Arnold Schwarzenegger movies, his accent gets on my nerves
[editline]27th February 2012[/editline]
does anyone know a good, late 90's action movie?
Total Recall is miles better than Fifth Element imo.
I honestly don't remember much about it, other than the overall style and atmosphere
Fifth Element was a silly movie, that's okay but there were parts that took itself too seriously and really took the movie out of character.
Unlike something like The Mummy which had an actual convincing underlying story, although on the surface it was ridiculous.
fifth element owns hard
well, from what I remember, it was pretty bizarre too
also, I assume rusty doesn't like total recall?
no i like total recall
but the fifth element is better

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
pop pop pop
You can't compare Total Recall to The Fifth Element.
One has Arnold. The other has Bruce.
One makes you question reality. The other makes you question Milla Jovovich's tits.
They're both very different films.
The other makes you question Milla Jovovich's tits.
Yeah but the other had a 3 titted alien woman and a midget woman with a machine gun.
I was only comparing the visual style, geez
The Green Hornet
8/10 Pretty funny :)
it's funny how, back in the 60's, batman was a funny, wacky series, and green hornet was the darker counterpart
and look what happened now
Wow is it just me or Robert De Niro isn't as good as his past films.
Wow is it just me or Robert De Niro isn't as good as his past films.
I'd say Meet the Parents was good.
[editline]27th February 2012[/editline]
apparently him and Scorsese are planning one last movie together.
I just hope it's a gangster movie.
De Niro was awesome in Mean Streets. That was the first movie they did together I think. Superb.
Also The King of Comedy, alongside Taxi Driver of course and who can forget Raging Bull.
Antichrist
4/10

Why did I watch a movie where Willem Dafoe got [sp]wanked while he was passed out until blood poured out of his penis[/sp].
:(
I really liked that movie, but I don't know why.
It was intense. Lars is actually a great director, plenty of worthy things in his catalogue.
It's just that one scene didn't have to happen.
It has one too many scenes that are supposed to be symbolic and I don't think I will ever be able to interpret them. Very audacious movie overall and I don't ever want to see a grindstone while I'm alive
I saw that movie 2 or 3 years ago and it still brings back painful memories.
[editline]27th February 2012[/editline]
even worse than Jack Ketchum's The Girl Next Door.
The Town: 7/10. Good movie, not anything to get overexcited about though.
Heat - 9/10
It's awesome. The characters are great, and for the most time I was unsure if I should root for Neil or Vincent. Both characters are wonderful, [sp]and even though one of them was bad, it was a shame to see him get whacked in the end. But he did get what was coming to him.[/sp] The action was amazing, and really, it was actually kinda scary how real it felt. The lack of music in the shootout sequences is what makes them so awesome; the scene plays like I'm actually in the crowd watching these cops and robbers having a bulletfest.
I only have one question; what happened to Chris?

I didn't mean they were bad movies, painful to watch bro.
fifth element owns hard
The Fifth Element does something weird to me, by the time I'm done watching it my stomach feels really sick, that damn movies changes tone so rapidly, and randomly it just turns my stomach.
Other then that its a damn good movie, I just don't watch it often.
