The Grey 7/10 It was not too bad of a movie, I just don't see myself ever watching it again.
A Seperation, 8/10 Quite an incredible family drama that I suspect is an allegory for foreign conflict resolution but I don't know enough about current events to be sure. Incredibly compelling drama, with outstanding acting. It's great to see a movie where the director doesn't assume his audience is stupid. It's subtle enough for you to get it, but it never hits you over the head with anything. It handled very complex family problems really realistically and conveyed the tone perfectly. The characters are constantly given impossible decisions, with no definitive right or wrong answer. If you like dramas and have a pension for foreign films (as long as you're not an idiot this is you), you'll enjoy the movie a lot. I can't stress how well it was done. It would get a higher score if it had more rewatchability. Once is enough, but it's a great little ride nontheless.
IMO the only reason why the acting was bad is because they tried to make it like if it was the comic, which was also the main problem in the whole film. Some things should just stay in the comics, is what I said the last time I watched it.
I'm sorry but there really is no excuse for bad acting. I've not seen the movie, but I'm not sure I understand your point.
aw how cute he thinks hes me ((((((((((( in an ironic twist of fate, it is u who is wrong )))))
oh shut up
I'm sorry but there really is no excuse for bad acting. I've not seen the movie, but I'm not sure I understand your point.
Well, they stylized the whole movie to be like the comics, and it felt like they did that to the acting, too. To me, it didn't look like it was the actors' (though some of them really were bad) faults, but the director's.
A Midnight Clear - 8/10 Very good anti-war film set in 1944 about the survivors of a US Army intelligence and reconnaissance platoon sent to watch enemy movements.

That Chinese chick... Jesus Christ, I wanted to bash her face in.
yeah that was what I meant [editline]4th March 2012[/editline] it was cheesy, sort of in a kid's show style
Dr. Strangelove - 9.5/10 I should have not waited this long to see it.
I'm dumb. -snip-
Both the movies are an homage to old grindhouse films. It wouldn't make sense if you had good acting because it would take away one of the key elements of the style.
Scott Piligrim is a homage to old grindhouse films?
Scott Piligrim is a homage to old grindhouse films?
No, I was talking about Deathproof and Planet Terror. I misread the post I quoted.
What are we talking about again? And how did Scott Pilgrim relate to Quentin Tarantino movies?
What are we talking about again? And how did Scott Pilgrim relate to Quentin Tarantino movies?
Someone posted about Death Proof and Planet Terror a couple of posts before you said there is no excuse for bad acting. My brain stopped working for a minute and put two and two together without actually reading properly.
Just watched Disney's Atlantis. 8/10 So much of the humour was lost on me when I watched it as a little kid. Seeing it again really showed how good it was. The characters are hilarious and the story is above good for all ages.
No, they tried to emulate the comics, and it didn't work.
that's exactly what I said...?
Pulp Fiction 8/10
[t]http://www.onlinemovieshut.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/carnage-poster.jpg[/t] Carnage 8/10 hilarious movie. christoph waltz is the best
Downfall 10/10 I thought I wouldn't have been able to take it seriously due to all the youtube parodies online. I honestly couldn't find a fault with the film.
Watched Immortals, 5/10. The only good thing were the effects and fight scenes, the rest was shit. Plot felt jumpy and rushed and the characters had no depth whatsoever.
barton fink early coen brothers flick, has the guy who played "the jesus". terrific actor. as well as fred flinstone, who is always great even though i remember him by his worst movie. anyway.. pretty great ride. if you enjoyed fargo and all that, you'd need this. The story isn't really simple, it's your casual coen "start off sane, then whirlpool into complete crazy" and then a finale like none other coen movie would be expected. i rate this highly/10
youtube parodies online
Hi there. :v:
Stand and Deliver 8/10 A true classic.
what did you guys think of "be kind, rewind"?
Four Lions 10/10 absolutely fucking hilarious.
Four Lions 10/10 absolutely fucking hilarious.
I didn't find that movie funny at all. I was told it was going to be a laugh riot, but it was no more than a laugh silent protest.

Why is city of god so popular
