Picked up the bluray of LA Confidential and finally sat down and watched it.
That was amazing/10
the only bad part about that movie was [sp]kevin spacey's death[/sp]
well i mean plotwise and how the movie is built it's great but i love him so much it's almost painful to watch him die onscreen.

except in [sp]se7en[/sp]
probably because it was just the most perfect scene ever and it was at the end.

No that's just you failing to use your brain.
Battle Royale - 10/10
This is now my favorite movie of all time. What really gets me about it is how these kids are put into the most cruel of situations and how over time it's like you begin to know them. The characters have depth and reason for the ways they behave, and it's this knowledge of them that makes the emotional impact of their fates even greater on me than in any other movie I can recall. That said, many a manly tear were shed, and after watching such an amazing film, I am not afraid to admit that fact.
The characters have depth are you nuts? Kiriyama has no backstory in the film whatsoever, nor does Fumiyo or a ton of other characters. Go read the novel, it's a million times better.
Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Love this one and it is probably one of my favorite movies ever. 9/10
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. This one is not as good as the original to me, but I still like it. The effects in the first one were just better for me.
7/10
John Carter 6/10
The story is all over the fucking place, but is for the most part entertaining. The CG was fucking amazing, as was the art direction (done by my favorite artist Wayne Barlowe!), these alone can make the movie worth renting when it comes out on Netflix in a few months.

That was probably the most boring movie I have ever seen in my entire life.
But, I haven't seen it since it came out so I may like it if I watched it again.
Don't be afraid of the dark 7/10
Would have loved it as a kid.
I think we can assume, for now, that people are watching the American version.
It's the bad version. Does it even have the Lesbian sex scenes?
What i mean is. If you can get past the swedish language sounding like german chewing a bun while singing Ozzy Osbournes "dreamer", you've got a pretty damn good movie and i'm almost 100% sure that it's both darker and more serious than the Engmerican version. I base that off of most of the remakes they do of scandinavian films that are always softened up.

Doesn't change that the Swedish version managed to finnish a trilogy... A very good one. I think it's very much worth a watch.

Respecful, borderline loving. But vague.
I just think that the David Fincher version has a really great atmosphere, because it even has a build up to give that dark, cold tone of the movie. I love Daniel Craig, too, and I think that Christopher Plummer and Rooney Mara were amazing, though I must say that I didn't like Stellan Skarsgård's acting that much. I guess I should watch the swedish version again (yeah, I admit that I didn't actually watch all of it) to see what it's really like.
Hobo With a Shotgun - 6.8/10
B-Movies, B-Movies everywhere!
I've been planning on watching this movie for a long time but never really got around to it, and to sum it up pretty fast: it's fucked up. Barbed wire nooses, manhole guillotines, dicks getting blown off, [sp]torched school buses[/sp]. It's not the worst movie I've ever seen ("worst" in the sense of: most gruesome or disgusting.) I do like this movie however; it's a fun play on stereotypical 1970's-1980's B-Movies.
The plot isn't supposed to be deep, and the lines aren't supposed to be thought provoking, but that's all part of the fun. It's a corny, dumb, and fantastic play on 1980s gorefests. I really love the style of movies that are meant to look aged, and I wish directors would try to experiment with that quality more. And honestly; I don't think a serious rendition of Hobo With a Shotgun would be too bad, the plot definitely has a special kind of potential. It's a fun watch, I recommend it if you're not looking for a deep and meaningful experience.

Watch it now you'll understand it's a great movie.
Young Adult
8/10
Ahaha 21 Jump Street was fucking amazing/10
Battle Royale - 9.6/10
A new favorite of mine, this movie was awesome. It's a very interesting concept; kill or be killed, friend or no friend. The beginning is pretty nerve racking, I was wondering how all the kids were going to deal with the situation they were put in especially how on the ride onto the island, they were all friendly with one another. And it really sucks to see your favorite characters get killed off, [sp]especially Nobu at the beginning ;__;[/sp].
If you haven't seen this movie yet, I highly recommend it.
Lethal Weapon
7/10
Anaconda 3
0/10
21 jump street - awesome/10
went in with no expectations and it was really good, one of the better movies i've seen this year
Burn After Reading - 6/10
Fairly smart and funny but ultimately one of the Coens' less essential works.
Super - 7.5/10
A lot of funny bits, it made Kickass seem almost child friendly.
The girl with the Dragon Tattoo 7/10
A lot of you people gave it some pretty high ratings so I check it out. Quite the thrilling movie, although I reckon it would have been a bit better if I had read the books.
