The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury Seen it before, still like it. 7/10
Full Metal Jacket- boners/10 Nothing I don't like.

Elephant - 7.75/10 I'd recommend it.

Ghost Shit is like a ghost shit. It's really terrible and annoying, and when you look at what you've done there's nothing there. I don't even know what that fucking means.
any cool horror movies that are more interesting than horror like The Thing or The Abyss?
Pan's Labyrinth?
Eyes wide shut 6/10 The first half of was boring as fuck, but things got a lot more interesting when he got to the mansion. But that only lasted for like 10 minutes and after that the movie slowly got worse. Should've given the mansion more attention.
It's one of my favorite movies. Kept me interested the entire time. The only thing I didn't really like was the fact that it doesn't have a lot of re-watch value.
It was very watchable, but it definitely lacked something.
Pan's Labyrinth?
I'll check it out, I should elaborate though, I'm looking for older movies with interesting settings or conceptual technology. Alien and Aliens had a lot of background technology that was interesting, stuff like that.

Watched Lucky Number Slevin the other night. I'd give it an 8/10. So. Many. Twists.
The Fly (1986) 8/10, sweet 80s special effects. The humour isn't as dated as you'd think either.
21 Jump Street 9/10. funny ass movie [editline]21st March 2012[/editline]
The Secret World of Arriety- 9/10 My favorite movie of the year so far. I expected something decent, but I shouldn't have doubted Studio Ghibli. They always make great movies. There's a couple things I didn't like, though, but they're pretty "nit-picky" complaints. -The way Shaun, the main boy talks. He talked very gently, kind of like Edward from Twilight, but again, that's just nit-picking. It wasn't an annoying voice or anything. -The ending. [sp] It wasn't bad, but it almost seemed to just...well, end. It didn't have too much build-up like the rest of the film did. Shaun says goodbye to Arriety, says that the borrowers still exist down the street and the credits roll.[/sp] Other than that, there's really not that much to complain about. It was well written, well acted, the animation was beautiful and the characters were memorable. What more could you ask for?
Well the kid couldnt get to excited because of the [sp]heart condition[/sp] Have you noticed that a lot of Studio Ghibli movies do that? Most of there endings happen in like 2 min. But i still love there movies and there animation. My only complaint about the movie is that it kept acting like something big was going to happen and then nothing happened. sorry for the late reply
Evil Dead 2: 10/10 Watched it at school today after I told my film teacher about it. It's the only movie this year that the class has liked.
Well your film class isn't completely retarded, not something I could have said about mine.
Watched Pan's Labyrinth, can't believe it took me this long, 10/10. The mix of Animatronics, makeup and CGI was great. Looked way better then CGI usually does covering all the bases.
I need to stop watching good films...anyone recommend some bad films for me?
Tower Heist. It's a horrible comedy. And it's not even funny. I recommend it. [editline]21st March 2012[/editline] Weekend - 7/10
Paranormal Activity 3 - shit/10. I can see why Rusty calls this 'Parasnoremal Activity'. Plus it's got an ending that makes no sense.
still didn't watch Lawrence of Arabia... Watched "Hunger". Really intense, inspired bit of cinema. Goes to show how deep a movie can be without much dialogue, purely a human movie. Although it has a 17 minute uncut take of a conversation. Some may find it dull, I feel it was impressive and shows what actors will go through to express themselves. Not for all, but it has plenty of heart and intensity. For those who like to relax and be immersed.
Ghost Ship
fuck you ghost ship rocks my socks
>If I Want to Whistle, I Whistle >City of God >The Grey >Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter... and Spring Good stuff
i watched Ghost Ship when i was 9 or 10 and will never forget that moment where my brother yelled 'OH, it's a GHOST SHIP' nearing the end of the movie
The Pianist 9/10 Goddammit this is a sad film ;_; Almost shed a manly tear at parts, worst part is that I was watching that in history class. One guy said it was boring. I should Polanski-slap the shit out of him and force him to watch Chinatown...
^ the ending is touching. the guy who said it was boring was probably crying during the part when adrian brody [sp]took all the emotion and trauma and smashed it out delicately on the piano in front of the SS officer.[/sp]
The Sitter 5.5/10 Had its moments.
You should get your teacher to show them Metropolis, even if they hate it they can't deny how impressive it is.
Well, they didn't all LOVE IT, but the majority liked it. A couple people said it was stupid, but I guess they didn't have the common sense enough to see that it's just the feeling that the movie was going for. It's not meant to be taken seriously, it's just a really fun movie. 2001: A Space Odyssey Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas Sideways Ed Wood The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari Night of the Living Dead King Kong (1933) All of these movies were HATED by the class. Even "Night of the Living Dead". One student said that "it would have been awesome if it wasn't in black and white, so therefore it sucks." I don't see why people hate B&W so much.
A film class with people who hate B&W? Either you're very bad at lying or you might wanna get out while you maybe still can.
