the part where they [sp]shot the kid[/sp] left me in shambles
Тихая застава (silent outpost)
8/10 great Russian war film
Trick r Treat- 7/10
Decent, some parts felt like they were pushed in though. The whole werewolf thing? Worst part imo. I definetly like the little pumpkin guy, Sam. The part with the bus and mental children was also pretty sad, I felt bad for them and I was happy that [sp] the bus driver got murdered at the end[/sp].
ANybody else's opinion on this movie?
Diary of Anne Frank from BBC.
Holy shit. I've never seen such a take on it. I was really sad the whole way through, knowing that they were all done for anyway. All of the little conflicts really get emphasized by them being in such a confined space.
I just wish i could have seen the original 150 Min cut rather than the shorter American cut at 100 Min.
Trainspotting - 9.5/10
Pretty sweet movie with a cool atmosphere, and some memorable characters. Kinda depressing at times, but it's still a really cool movie. I was eating food where that part where Renton was in that really disgusting bathroom came on. Pretty nasty.

I thought it was a great throwback to the Creepshow series of movies.
I'd definitely watch a sequel.
The Sorcerer's Apprentice - 6.5/10
Pretty good overall, for the kind of movie it is. There are a few problems with this movie, though. I hate how it doesn't really seem to take itself seriously, also [sp]Balthazar was too easy on Dave, I thought he'd be more of a "You NEED to do this, no excuses" person, but he basically let him do everything he wanted.[/sp]
So, basically:
Acting - decent, but the writing was sort of bad, and some of the lines are pretty bad
Effects - overused cgi, pretty noticeable at times, but was good in some parts
Plot - really good, actually
Soundtrack - couldn't care less about it

fun to watch, too
I just got through an Aliens fest. I've never really sat down and watch them so here is my scores:
Alien: 7/10
Aliens: 9/10
Alien3: 3/10
Alien Resurrection: 1/10 (wow)
Hunger Games 6/10 It had a great concept, I felt as though the whole battle could have been fleshed out a lot more. And I can't say it made me care about the [sp]black girl I mean sure she was innocent and a kid[/sp] and all but we were introduced to her not long before shit went down so I can't say I was really heart broken, and as someone else said the scene went on a little too long. [sp]Also her pulling out the spear and how deep it was, was just kind of strange.[/sp]
It's difficult to flesh characters out in such a timeframe but I found the only character I gave a shit about was the main one. The ending was a tad [sp]fairytale and typical. I would have preferred a more ambiguous one. But besides that despite being against the entire games they don't use any opportunity to protest it, besides the suicide pact.[/sp]
I'll probably pick the book up to see the differences.
21 Jump Street - 7/10
I found the movie quite enjoyable. There were some hilarious scenes like the tripping scene. I liked how it made fun of action movies too.

you gave alien a 7/10 go away
21 Jump Street : 7.5/10
Very enjoyable and hilarious movie. I actually laughed harder from Channing Tatum than Jonah Hill in this, which surprised me.
Patch Adams.
Lost a bet, had to watch this, never doing dumb bets again. Fucking terrible movie and incredibly disrespectful to the man himself.
im pretty sure patch adams is an alright movie

i could be remembering it wrong though!!
Tried watching Point Break, I never really understood why people said Keanu acted wooden until now. I can't deal.
And swayze didn't even roundhouse a guy.
Watched Marty Scorsese's Hugo.
I can't really say much about my own experience because I knew this was going to be aimed at "trying to make every experience for a kid wonderful". There was a lot familiar with what he did, which was why I didn't really feel much when you'd expect as a kid seeing clocks and all those sounds... the opening shot.. the works.
Even so, it still absorbed me into another one of his crazy worlds. Ben Kingsley and Sacha Baron Cohen were never going to disappoint anyway.
I also watched, Begotten.
Fair to say it's the polar opposite of Hugo in all respects.
They are both visually intriguing and intricately made, but that's where similarities end lol

I don't really like his reviews either, but he makes some good points in the patch adams one.

Thing is, I knew about the actual Patch Adams before I watched the movie and it just makes it worse.

Story is compelling and acting is good. It's not much of a Fridays night film with friends or family though. I watched it alone with headphones and I must say I really enjoyed this film. The soundtrack is perfect.
It's weird though, that I only found out about it recently. I don't think it was ever featured in cinemas in Sweden.
I'm not all for the Drive soundtrack. It's definitely good, but far from the best imho.

His reviews are strictly comedic. Watch his actual reviews, the ones where he is Doug Walker not the Nostalgia Critic, and he actually knows his shit.

this is not a good argument he is disgustingly unfunny and and probably the most annoying person ive ever seen

Well it's unique for sure... but I'd say the Dragon Tattoo ost is better imho.

Again, that's his character. He obviously doesn't act like that normally.
Fishtank
5/10
This seems promising at first. It follows the life of a girl on a London estate and for the first two-thirds or so of the movie it's an almost plotless character study. This section of the movie is generally pretty good, and develops the lead character nicely, but it stagnates with a complete lack of plot. After that two-thirds point, the movie suddenly realises it needs some semblance of plot, and rushes developments that you have no chance to get involved in, before completely giving up in the most laughably anticlimactic conclusion I've ever seen. [sp]It ends up with her abducting her mum's boyfriend's daughter, and after about 10 minutes of movie she returns the kid and walks, only for the boyfriend to show up and punch her in the face once. That's it, and this plot thread, which is actually the main plot of the movie, is not addressed again for remaining 15 minutes or so of film.[/sp] It then tries to fob off some kind of emotional payoff with the death of the horse, which was of no plot importance, hell I'd forgotten the horse was in the film until that point. In all very dissapointing.
Paul 8.5/10
I liked it.
I'm 21 and haven't seen it, don't feel bad
