check out the mist and green mile for sure. I'm sure you've seen Shawshank and Shining.
I've seen all those, good suggestions though. the mist ending was all kinds of messed up.
1408 was so terrible.
1408 wasn't as half as bad as people make it out to be [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] sure, not the best thing ever either, but I sort of enjoyed it
Brokeback mountain 9/10 I was watching with my family.
I remember reading a Cracked article on mental health, and how it's misleading to think that kind of treatment cures them. They weren't cured, they were still as fucked up as ever, just having more fun. Billy probably needed that kind of confidence boost and would've done well, shame about all that afterwards.
the thing about people with mental disorders is you almost never cure them, you just teach them how to over come their fears and to stay calm and realize it isn't real even if you're hallucinating, being delusional and all that other shit. i mean for me i may be better but i have a feeling all my life i'm probably going to be hearing things, seeing things and thinking things that aren't there or are irrational. modern mental health isn't doing so good because they rarely get at the root of the problem or teach you how to cope, they just give you a fuckloads of meds, watch you and visit a therapist occasionally, and group therapy which you saw in the movie. but group therapy has improved greatly since then, take it from me.
Brokeback mountain 9/10 I was watching with my family.
I hope you and your family know what you're watching. Awkward moment incoming.
The Godfather: 9.5/10 Paths of Glory: 9.7/10 Absolutely loved both movies, Paths of Glory probably makes it into my top 10 of all time.
Public Enemies (2009) I'd have to say 9/10. It was a really great movie. The only issue I had was that it seemed a bit quiet at times, and at other times it was super loud. The acting, sets, and everything else were fantastic. Horrible Bosses Probably 8.5/10 X-Men First Class Around 8/10 It was good and all, but it seemed rushed.
the dark night 10/10 [editline]29th March 2012[/editline]
wrath of the titians 3/10 Only Qui Gon Jinn and Voldemort made it watchable.
The Truman Show - 8.5/10 Don't know why it took me so long to see this. Liked it very much.
The Truman Show - 8.5/10 Don't know why it took me so long to see this. Liked it very much.
I like how the truman delusion was born out of this film. Actual people thinking to be in a tv show all their lives.
I like how the truman delusion was born out of this film. Actual people thinking to be in a tv show all their lives.
There's also the inception delusion, where people think they're in a dream and they have to die to wake up. I just made that up, but I'm pretty sure there's something like this.
The Three Musketeers (new one) 3/10 Although it's incredibly predictable, has a lot of really dumb things happening and some of the characters are incredibly dumb, forced and unfunny, I still enjoyed the action and a few things here and there got a smile out of me.
wrecked 6/10 what the fuck kind of review is this
Adrien Brody has a magnificent proboscis. Nothing like a Cyrano de Bergerac nose that resembles genitalia more than a nose, but a beautiful, Pathos nose. Many a Brody fan has asked aloud to no one in particular (to themselves in general), "Why has Adrien Brody never undergone rhinoplasty to correct his obviously skewed nose?" And it is a valid question. Brody's face is centered by such a grand specimen, and you'd think that by now his agent or a good friend must have suggested having it straightened. But Brody chooses to leave his most prominent feature in a state of disrepair, and I applaud this. Especially in this film, where Adrien's imperfect schnoz is dressed up by the makeup artist to look like it was only recently broken in a car wreck. He even reaches up and wiggles his nose so we can see exactly where the fracture occurred. Now, at last, we can look upon his face and not only admire his large, sad eyes - but also celebrate his wonderfully crooked whiffer, and the clever manner in which its imperfection is highlighted in a nose-cameo.
absolutely nothing to do with the movie
wrath of the titians 3/10 Only Qui Gon Jinn and Voldemort made it watchable.
voldemort is probably fiennes' worst performance IMO
Fiennes was awesome in The Reader, have to admit. Haven't seen him in a whole lot else. [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] what am I on about.. Schindler's List, In Bruges... [editline]29th March 2012[/editline] strange days..
voldemort is probably fiennes' worst performance IMO
I don't know, he kinda needed to act weird for that role
well, it's also that voldemort is just a shitty generic villain
yeah, as much as I enjoyed the HP movies, I admit that Voldemort didn't really have anything special
The Core 6/10 Stupid fun with some great performances, not much else to say about it, well except for this.
I hated the movie in general, the acting was pretty good though.
Yeah I think I may have made the score a bit high in retrospect.
Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog 8/10 It was such an enjoyable experience, and unfortunately, it ended abruptly. If it had an ending that wasn't such a sudden downer, I'd probably give it a 9.
Battle Royale 10/10 I just finished watching Battle Royale for the second/third time in a couple of years and it still does not fail to make me emotional. Its one of the single best films I have ever watched. My absolute favourite. Its a lot deeper than it may seem on the outside and it is genuinely unforgettable, it contains so much meaning too. /Thatfeel
L.A. Confidential 7/10, was pretty cool and made me realize the references L.A. Noire had. Russell Crow breaks a lot of stuff with his hands.
How's American Gangster? now i think about it, Russell crow has been in alot of gangster/crime related movies
More like in a lot of Ridley Scott movies
How's American Gangster? now i think about it, Russell crow has been in alot of gangster/crime related movies
it's pretty good. not as good as other movies like it but still pretty good.
How's American Gangster? now i think about it, Russell crow has been in alot of gangster/crime related movies
Not as good as the other crime movies. Also, why does public enemy looks so low budget.
