Back from watching Battleship, I give it a 7/10 There are reasons for doing so. I thought it was shit at first, but as ridiculous as it is, it was good. This is the kind of turn off your brain for effects and shit. What I meant is its not very 'realistic', (I know there are aliens but there are things that make it strange, like [sp]satellite shooting lasers[/sp]) The acting was good, and Rihanna was pretty good as well, I expected worse from her, seeing as she's fresh. And then there's Liam Neeson, which was great also. But still, the cream of the crop is still the special effects, which was bloody good, and in my opinion, alot better than the transformers. Oh, and for those of you guys who said there's nothing related to the game 'battleship', there is quite a big reference to it. I'm not going to go any further into that. And to conclude, its a really good popcorn movie, like it, hate it, up to you. It has a really nice flow to the story, no shit beginning and ending. You can take my word for this. Or rate gaybows.
Going to watch every Seam Bean movie. He dies every time.
Here's some of his best roles. Spoilers:
The Dark Knight - Heath Ledger: Best Joker 10/10
It is a good interpretation of the Joker and is probably the best live action one but Mark Hamill's Joker will always be the best one.

I can't seriously say Die Hard is a great movie for me, but it's great in the sense that I can watch it 10 times in a year and enjoy it with a pizza. Movies that mean something to me I try to avoid eating while watching.

so, what do you guys think of "almost famous"? I saw it a long time ago and loved it, so I just thought "hey, its probably because I was too young, the movie probably sucks turns out its an 8.0 on imdb
shame 8.5/10 great movie, really elegantly shot. the use of long shots was quite well done, it gave the movie a very unique feeling that most films are devoid of (due to constant changing of camera angles).
Red Dragon - 8/10 Almost as good as Silence of the Lambs.
SoftheLambs is a bit naff imo. Still worthy because Hopkins is great but overstated for what it is.
Did anyone else get terrible motion sickness while watching the Hunger Games? I did, and I don't easily get motion sick.
SoftheLambs is a bit naff imo. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline]
Did anyone else get terrible motion sickness while watching the Hunger Games? Sure I like Murder Mystery movies.. Fargo, Seven, Mystic River all great. With S of the Lambs, I didn't really get a full sense of focus on the main point of the movie. Which was Hopkins' character. Maybe I'll watch Hannibal, but I just think more could be brought out in the horror of that character. [editline]12th April 2012[/editline] You shouldn't think I'd dismiss an entire genre because I say a movie is overstated either
hi i just started watching twin peaks and i must say i thought it was gonna be better. and yes i know this is a film thread, but i really want to comment some tv series.
I saw most of the first season, and I was quite disappointed.
im only watchin' it because i heard the ending is brilliant.
I Saw the Devil. is it worth watching?
I Saw the Devil. is it worth watching?
I saw it last night. I bit over the top but it's ok.
I Saw the Devil. is it worth watching?
this sentence confused me greatly for a couple seconds
this sentence confused me greatly for a couple seconds
It does now that I think about it It sound as if I actually saw the devil and contemplating if it would be worth my time to continue staring at it
Watching Apocalypse Now, it keeps blowing my mind how much Charlie Sheen looks like his dad, this is the first time i've seen Martin so young.

We were soldiers - 9/10 What can I say? It was simply a riveting and moving film. While religion may have been a bit too prominent for my liking (I am by no means an atheist, but Gibson liked to include religion a lot more than I've seen in other war movies. However, this is in 1965 so I suppose it suits the time period?), the battle scenes were very well done. By the end of the movie, when [sp]the reporters came and met with Gibson and the other reporter who'd ended up fighting[/sp] it made me shaky and think "[sp]damn, this just shows how war is so dehumanizing, and the media don't care about the lives that were lost. They just want the next biggest story[/sp]". Very well done.
SLC Punk - 7/10
im only watchin' it because i heard the ending is brilliant.
no [sp]The ending was basically david lynch saying fuck you because the show was cancelled before it could meet it's 'vision' (which was basically a never ending mystery show where nothing is actually solved) - it was on its death throes and the second season is pretty awful anyway. The first season was good though.[/sp]
The three musketeers. 6.5/10 I hate some of yet, and yet I love most of it. And mostly the girls with corsets that make their boobs look big.
k we're watching The Flowers Of War if you want to come watch http://www.livestream.com/nginscrap
SLC Punk - 7/10
I love that film. :(
