Win Win
7/10
Funny, but it got serious real quick which I wasn't expecting, nice little film though.
I would say the main guy is pretty relatable as an average person who is sick of seeing injustice and crime. Obviously not to the same extent but still.
[sp]Also, his face for most of the criminal beatdown montage is priceless.[/sp]
[sp]the crimefighting began because he was having a delusional breakdown from his wife leaving him, which really gave me the impression that "rescuing her" was the motive from the start, even though it seemed to me like she just left on her own because frank was boring and/or socially dysfunctional. there was nothing "unjust" about liv tyler leaving him, it was kind of a dick thing to do but it was certainly not what i'd call worth getting up in arms over.[/sp]
The Killing (1956): 9/10
Although it does kind of give of the stereotypical 50's movie vibe, this movie was great, especially in the photography and lighting department. Every scene was visually interesting, whether it be an otherwise boring scene in a chess club or a more exciting scene during the robbery. Kubrick's first feature film was great, just like his other movies.
Cast Away
9/10

Loved that movie so goddamned much. Must have seen it atleast 6 times.
It's also what made me read all the books regarding Crusoe.
Battleship 6/10
saving grace is the [sp]part where the old retired geezers join in as the crew. at that point I just threw all logic and rational thought away and cheered when the battleship made a sick-ass drift and blasted the aliens to hell and back[/sp]
See, I told you guys battleship wasn't that bad. And then all of you just rated dumbs without even watching.
k we're watching The Machinist

Titanic 3D - 8.5/10 Even though its a remake i liked it.
Wrath of the Titans - 6/10
Most of the movie is historically inaccurate, but the special effects were pretty cool. Not a movie with a deep plot in the least, but it's still entertaining. Also it has Liam Neeson which is definitely a bonus

I can imagine that all those Titans and what not weren't actually around all those centuries ago.
cabin in the woods
9/10
I can't remember the last time I had that much fun watching a movie, must have been the dark knight
just so great. this year owns for film.
The trailer for Cabin in the Woods is so bad.
films fantastic though
You shouldn't even watch the trailer because it reveals far too much
You can tell they tried to hint things and make sure you know it's not a generic horror but they can't give up very much, to be fair it's not an easy film to make a trailer for
I'd say learn as absolutely little about the film as you can before seeing it because it'll be much better that way. I saw it knowing like nothing and am very glad I did because I had no ideas or anything created from the trailer
Not knowing anything about a great movie before watching it is the craziest feel ever. Happened to me with Drive.
The Cabin in the Woods - 9/10
Most fun I've had watching a movie in a long time. It was hilarious, awesome, original and even had a few scares. Would recommend it to anyone.
As for D-BOX seats, they suck ass. If you ever have the opportunity to use them don't waste your money. Image watching a movie while someone kicks your seat every time something happens, it's worse than that. Luckily you can turn the movement off, which I did about 20 mins in.
Titanic 3D - 8/10
This is 3D conversion done right, you can tell they spent more than a few weeks on it, it looked stunning. The exterior shots of she ship were grand and beautiful while the interior was claustrophobic and intense. It really added to the movie a lot rather than being a distraction.
The Road(2009) 8/10
Oh god the horror, i didn't liked they didn't tell about how the apocalypse was.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) 8/10
the last 20 minutes are seriously fucked up
Videodrome wat/10, cool special effects. but seriously what did I just watch
You thought that movie was fucked up?

I didn't find that fucked up at all, just dull.
A Bittersweet Life
7/10
All around good movie. Cool choreography, but story could've been better.

OH GOD NOT THE TONGUE SCENE
Glad to hear that Cabin in the Woods is so great. Guess I'll have to see it with some people this weekend.
Another 9/10 for Cabin in the Woods. It was incredible. I've already seen it twice.

Sometimes it can reward to go into a movie blind.

Battle Royale: Special Edition (Director's Cut)
2001
Directed by Kinji Fukusaku
Rating: 9/10
Within the first 15 minutes I fell in love with this movie. It was simply amazing. Easily one of my top ten favorites. It also contains one of my favorite kills in a movie when [sp]that girl in the yellow jacket stabs the pervert in the balls[/sp] not so much because it was elaborate or anything like that, but just because she didn't really look as tough as she was and it was a pretty badass scene.
Eyes Wide Shut is the best example of that for me. I had no idea what I was getting into; I was just going through Stanley Kubrick's movies.
either that is a perfect pun for what I said or I agree entirely. :-)
What are some decent movies with William Dafoe? Just finished Platoon and the only other thing i've seen him in is Spiderman, I feel like he's done something good.
