My school is in Djursholm :smug:
I live in Djursholm :smug: But my school is in Åkersberga :saddowns: (third place in the most criminal town list)
Well actually there are. Sverigedemokraterna has a little too many followers nowadays...
Compared to other countries, it's almost nothing
Sweden is a great place but most of the people aren't that open to everyone in Stockholm if you are gonna come here. If you ever come Stockholm you should avoid Emo people. The swedish Emo's have this inner circle and since you come from a another country it's already impossible to get in their circle so forget it. Fjortisar hmm let'se see well most of Fjortisar are show off people who wanna enter spybar....
have fun at college ;D
I don't know what that is, could you explain further? You could also add Umeå University.
Copypasta from studera.nu:
First cycle: Undergraduate studies First cycle is the term used in the European Region for undergraduate or Bachelor's courses and study programmes. In this cycle, there is a wide range of courses available but a limited number of study programmes.
For what I've read so far, in order to apply to any of the courses available, first of all they need a copy of my highschool completion certificate and I also need to take a test at an internationally recognised organization to show my english proficiency level (University of Cambridge, TOEFL or IELTS; I can find a few around my city)... more requirements may apply for certain courses. According to studyinsweden.se, these are the available bachelor's courses related to Technology right now:

Computer Engineering - Mid Sweden University
Computer Software Development - Kristianstad University College
Electrical Engineering with Emphasis in Telecommunication - Blekinge Institute of Technology
Electronics - Mid Sweden University
Electronics - University of Gävle
Energy Systems - University of Gävle
Geomatics - University of Gävle
Software Engineering and Management - University of Gothenburg
From the above list I really liked the courses offered by Kristianstad and Blekinge universities... are those universities Ok? :/

Blekinge is very low-rated. But wow, that was not very many programmes availible. Worldwide, Swedis universities are rated as followed; Uppsala - 48th, Lund - 88; Chalmers - 162; KTH (Royal Institute of Technology) - 173
If you need to choose between Kristianstad and Blekinge, I'd choose Kristianstad. Blekinge is very low-rated.
If you ever come Stockholm you should avoid Emo people. The swedish Emo's have this inner circle and since you come from a another country it's already impossible to get in their circle so forget it.
Well, it depends on what kind of "emo" you're referring to. There are "hardcore emo's" who follow the sad lifestyle and really makes themself a fucking retard infront of people in public. Then there are people who just like to have a haircut which is similar to an emo-haircut, but you still count as emo for the general public (which sucks ass).
If you come down south sometime i'll get you some moonshine and take you out to the bayou. Kidding, but it'll be fun man, Sweden might be a little dull, but us swedes are mostly wierd or fucking crazy, in the good way!
I'm sure I'll have a blast hanging out with you crazy swedes lol
Why Europe, why not America!
Why Europe, why not America!
I actually like America (I'd mostly go for the detroit muscle cars and NASCAR races :q:), but it's just... dunno, Europe feels better IMO :/
I watched hipp hipp hora. Man, swedes are dicks.
Man, swedes are dicks.
Even if you elaborated on that, I'd have to see them for myself to come up with such a conclusion... :/ For instance, the german community down here overall sucks, but the russian/polish/ucranian community is amazing to talk to, supercool guys all around...
I watched hipp hipp hora. Man, swedes are dicks.
well she got her revenge ;)
I watched hipp hipp hora. Man, swedes are dicks.
It's a movie, you know that movies are not real. Right?
I watched hipp hipp hora. Man, swedes are dicks.
That was back in 1998 or something. In all my time in school I've never seen such level of harassment. There's assholes in all countries.
That was back in 1998 or something. In all my time in school I've never seen such level of harassment. There's assholes in all countries.
2004 actually. Also yeah, it's very exaggerated and stupid.
Oh damn. Where did I get 1998 from?
Dicks are universal.
Which city are you going to? You should come here and we can be friends :3: [editline]08:38PM[/editline] Oh yeah, Karlstad is very very close to where I live. You should all go there and then we party in your apartment and I crash there and then I overtake it and kick you out. But skip that last part.
There are only a few English Universities in Sweden but sounds cool ;D
Before anyone says anything about 20k being little. Its alot considering my mother was a single parent and I love her lots for saving that for me.
I shed a tear at that. Besides, education is free in Sweden, so you need not save up for anything more than food, girls and Durex. Hehe. +Loved
I've been doing some more research, and I've found out the bachelor programme I'd like to take: Bachelor programme in Computer Software Development. I'll look for a few more alternatives, but that one seems to be the best, according to my interests. According to studera.nu, the Autumn semester 2010 has just begun, so all I have to do is apply to the selected programme I like, and right after that, I should send a letter with all my supporting documents to Sweden (Info)... And after that, I should check my e-mail inbox and studera.nu account for updates and notifications... I have both proof of identity and my record of completed upper secondary education (I was an B+ / A student :D), I'm missing a proof of proficiency in English (I learned english all by myself since I was 7-8, I'm 25 now); it shouldn't be a problem at all... I know just the place where I can take such test :) So... wish me luck, guys :P
I hope you'll like your new friends

Studying is a waste of time, it's piss hard to get a job in Sweden at the moment. Unless you got 20 years of engineering experience. Just tell them you fled from the bombs in middle-east and the government will literally throw money in your face.
Studying is a waste of time, it's piss hard to get a job in Sweden at the moment.
uhm yeah. that's kind of the whole idea, you can do one, or the other. Also, good luck.
Studying is a waste of time, it's piss hard to get a job in Sweden at the moment. Unless you got 20 years of engineering experience. You have something to do for 3-5 years and you'll improve your chances of getting one after that.
I watched hipp hipp hora. Man, swedes are dicks.
Holy fuck, I hate that movie. We saw it in my school like 5-6 years ago, and I got so mad at the end of the film that I asked my teacher why we were watching such garbage. It's an awful movie, god damn, just thinking about it makes me angry "HGFEHEH HURF DURF WE'RE IN 7th grade now we must drink alcohol, how do you jerk dick?!?!?"
