Thats a really nice place.
Sadly i can't find any buildings to explore.
I live in Belgium in West-Vlaanderen,you happend to know any locations?
I am amazed that the labs are in a good condition.
I don't know sorry, I'm looking for some new places to explore...
I'll let you know if I find something, you can come along if you want.
If you find a place I would love to join the exploration...
Ik ga op kot in kortrijk volgend jaar dus zoeken we daar ook locaties...
I'd explore shit like this if I didn't live so far from downtown.
Suburbex doesn't sound quite as interesting. :pwn:
Did you check to see if any of the bottles had beer in it?
Did you check to see if any of the bottles had beer in it?
Yeah I did, none of the bottles contained beer. We found some full cans from 1991.
I love places like this. So much history.

Yeah same here, shame that places like this are disappearing...
I hope you took one of the really, really old Stella Artois empty bottles home. Those were fucking beautiful.

Love the pictures man.
Ik woon in Kortrijk en misschien kan je eens in de oude dakpanfabrieken gaan kijken? Ik weet wel niet in hoeveel er nog in originele staat is, als er überhaupt nog iets over is.
I love it when you see places like this gradually falling to nature, rather than falling to vandals and arsonists as is usually the case

It reminds me of how things are in Portal 2.
Do you remember your ISO setting/speed of film for the 30s exposure you took in the pitch black room with the flashlight running? I love the lighting, and the creativity you employed to capture that shot! I've just recently been getting into Urbex and I absolutely love it, but the 'ambient window light only' in these abandoned places presents new things for me to learn in my photography.
I really love this entire series you did. Absolutely great job. wish i could have been there.
Best,

I shot that picture with an ISO of 100 I think, don't know for sure though...
If I were a hobo, I'd make that relatively clean laboratory my home, and this cubicle my bedroom.

And I'd lay down some of that sweet blue carpeting inside. I can't believe what a good squatting area this would make.

I always liked urbex, but I thought there were barely any places like this near me. Apparently, I was wrong.
(I live near Leuven fyi)
hi ..im visiting Leuven in october and hoping to do the stella artois brewery tour. can anyone tell me if i have to pre book this or just turn up on the day.... also is the old brewery still standing?

I want this shot, in a bigger format, and then increased saturation so I can have it as my background.
Mooie foto's man, doorgaan met dat werk he?
Going back soon for more pictures! Finally!
Awesome!
Hi, I saw your pictures from Brewery De Dijle. They are really nice.
Thank you for uploading them.
I am studying architecture and I lived in Leuven for one year.
I am using the Vaartkom area and Artois breweries for my final project.
I would like to ask you, if it would be possible to post the other pictures if you have visited again the brewery.
That would be of great help for me.
Thanks.

The problem is that right now they are demolishing the place, so I can't take anymore pictures sadly..
First, INSPIRATIONAL pictures!
Found this thing near me: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RKO_Keith%27s_Theater_%28Flushing,_New_York%29
They are now starting to restore the brewery. It's a good thing but i'm sad that I can't go and explore it anymore...
This makes me angry that I live in Arizona, which hasn't got anything even close to as cool as this. This is probably the cool Urbex with the coolest photos I've personally ever seen.
you think YOU have it fucking bad, try coming down to Connecticut where there's no shit, but a few asylums, and nothing where I live in Cheshire

What a shame, but those photos you took look beautiful and the whole state of the factory at the time looks outstanding with nature taking over it.
Kind of makes me want to find something abandoned, but as far as I know there's only one place and that's a school that was closed in 2009 and it's near my grandma's house.

Yeah I guess I'm lucky to live in Belgium, so many abandoned places.
Do you have any more plans to explore more abandoned places around your area?
