So, OPs argument is invalid.
Not true. sometimes I end up almost making a decision, then stop and think and taking the opposite choice because its more suitable.
Fuck all that number shit, all I do when I'm deciding between 2 things is flip a coin. Doesn't matter what face it lands on because by then I've made up my mind. Sometimes I have no coins though, so maybe my decision-making method isn't so great :v:
What I use : I toss. If I'm unhappy with the result, I chose the other option. It works. Kicking in the front seat or sitting in the back seat. Which seat do I choose?
Get a coin, assign each choice to a side, then flip it. Because the moment it's in the air, you'll know what side you're hoping for. Brotip: Then spend the coin on food.
this one so much Whenever you're feeling indecisive, just do that and you'll find yourself rooting for one side. :v:
Flip a coin. You will know which choice you really want while it's flipping in the air.
When I want to chat to a girl I write "hello" in the chat box, put my finger on the enter button, then hit the hand with the other one so that enter gets pressed. It's the only way I can start a conversation.
I really don't think into it that much. I only always go for the easiest option. Using your example of picking a university, I'd just go for the one that's closest. :v:
Normally, I would make a quick pros and cons list in my head.
I usually play a game of chess against myself, because the one that wins will have been the one that I wanted all along.
Just pick one at random if you can't decide. If you don't like the result, don't pick that later, or try the other choice next time. Just go for it instead of thinking about it.
If it's something like expensive electronics I go with what's got the better features and the most positive reviews. if both of them are equal, I go for the shinier one. [editline]20th March 2011[/editline] You could always use a die.
I always ask someone to choose for me and then once they choose I will know what I truly want, because I know what I was hooping for them to choose.
I used to be indecisive when making plans with friends, but after a while it just got annoying so I just did the "yes man" method of going along with whatever comes up. I do put thought into it though, if I know I'm gonna hate the activity I'll decline.
Cant decide between 2 things? buy both.
take the plunge
I can't make any decisions where I'm choosing either what I want or what I feel like I should do. For example, if my parents ask me if I want to go to dinner with them when I'm home for a few days, I don't want to, and it's okay with them if I don't. But I feel like I should and I just sit there not saying anything because I can't lean toward either direction. Eventually I just started picking what I want in these situations, because I don't have to think about it and then I'm happy. It feels kind of lame though, and I haven't really gotten better at making decisions.
I can't decide what class I should be in Mass Effect.

Flip a lovely British pound and you know exactly what you want.
"What candy bar do I want?" "this is tough" "OH I KNOW, LETS MAKE A TABLE!" "Ok, I just wasted 20 minutes and am late for work, I'm taking the kit-kat bar."
I remember when I used to be indecisive. Back in the day when i was building my first good PC and I was deciding what video card to get. I wanted the best one (which was the 8800 GTX at around $500) but I didn't want to spend too much money. I ended up getting it and living with buyers remorse for the next week, a week of sleepless nights and a guilty conscience for buying what what was going to be a paperweight in three years for half a grand. From that point I took a more critical approach to decision making like the one in the OP. When making a small decision I mostly refer to I-dont-give-a-fuck.jpg
I am extremely indecisive. An example is my posting, some times I will write a post and then decide its not that important and not post it. Really, it makes no since, but for some reason I just decide not to.
Just kind of make a decision and go with it.

Can the OP tell us which seat to take?
I'm impulsive.
Pleased to meet you. I'm Anemic.
I used to be so indecisive, but now I'm not sure...
