I drive forklifts at work daily, a few years ago someone was on a forklift and when they got off the lift continued to roll forward, it crushed the persons foot against some concrete and the person had to get the foot completely amputated. It was pretty gross from what I heard, Like i tell people when I train them. Respect the machine, but don't be afraid of it. Take your time, don't rush. Be aware of everything around you and most importantly if you have to second guess yourself then don't do it. Leave it to the pro-drivers such as myself.
The first one was fucked up. Did they show this on TV?
In the US, even.
oh what's this, just another training vid-OH GOD
God damn it, Klaus
I like how the whole time, literally nobody gives a fuck about how Klaus is basically a serial killer by lunch break
I'm OSHA certified. Am I cool yet?
oh what's this, just another training vid-OH GOD
That video is hilarious but I can tell you a lot of that crap is shit we can't do. Well all of it at my warehouse. We also aren't supposed to drive with the forks forward. You always drive with them behind you. Also they are dangerous as hell. Ours weigh between 9,000 and 13,000 pounds. Last weekend a guy tried to stop his equipment from hitting another piece of equipment with his foot. He lost all his toes...

So you Germans can't have violent videogames but you can have commercials like that? I also have heard you guys have boobs on TV alot
Fuck OSHA. Oh god I left a pallet standing upwards or leaning on something
Fuck OSHA. Oh god I left a pallet standing upwards or leaning on something
Yeah that's the biggest bullshit fine ever. $10,000 per occurrence.
oh what's this, just another training vid-OH GOD
This is comedy gold.
I'm OSHA certified. Am I cool yet?
join the club baby, it gets me 3cents an hour more than others!
Yeah that's the biggest bullshit fine ever. $10,000 per occurrence.
So wouldn't that mean that the combine would basically owe all the money in the galaxy? I mean we can all overlook the constant headcrab canisters, jumping mines, and police raids, but jesus fucking christ all of the pallets and boxes they leave in front of doorways man. Jesus I'm afraid to play Half Life now :(
holy shit why is this so graphic? did the director not get the go for his slasher film?
Because what would get the message or significance of work safety through to an audience more successfully; this horrific thing or clumsy Klaus' slapstick accidents. But you're right though, they were utterly gruesome.
oh what's this, just another training vid-OH GOD
Holy shit, that was great.
No "impaled by a red hot metal construction rod"? Props if you get the reference.
Great thread. Some of these deaths reminds me of Final Destination because of how improbable and ridiculous they are.
No "impaled by a red hot metal construction rod"? Props if you get the reference.
Getting impaled by a rod? Sounds more like a porn-related accident.
No "impaled by a red hot metal construction rod"? Props if you get the reference.
The crossbow from HL2?
I feel bad for these guys. They went to work expecting an average shift. Maybe some of them did something dumb, maybe someone else did, maybe nobody did anything. Whatever happened, someone never saw his family again.

Jesus I'm afraid to play Half Life now :(
Pretty much all because someone could hurt their foot. But look at combine architecture, it's riddled with osha violations. Look at all the guardrail-less platforms in the citadel. None of those stalkers are tied off. If one of them falls they are in deep shit.
Landscape worker riding in the back of a truck died from carbon monoxide fumes after he used a gas-powered lawn mower to keep warm.
This is a prime example of what you do not do. Gas creates gases. Gases can kill you. Don't operate gas-powered machinery in the back of a sealed truck.
