Haha fuck that! Nothing handles better than a rental! I was given a Ford Fiesta as a courtesy car whilst mine was being repaired after someone rear-ended me. That car was driven to within an inch of its life. Cracking little car to throw into the corners!
OP, Fast Threads - Please! From now on, I'm gonna treat my rentals like shit, just because of this thread. [editline]20th May 2011[/editline]
The bridge jump was scary as hell! :v: We were driving up to it and he was telling me once how he did it once by accident and said "We're gonna do it again now, but properly" So we drove over it, turned around (u-turn), and absolutely floored it. I was screaming "OH GOD OH GOD" holding on for my life. I was so terrified :v:. We took off, and it was an amazing feeling. The roof was down, too. We landed back on the ground with a huge bang and a shake, and that was that. :v: It was an absolutely huge rush, brilliant sunny day too. :keke: We hit it at ~60-80mph
And this was the same dad who hated your girlfriend and despised you when she got pregnant? Attention whore much?

[editline]20th May 2011[/editline] Is this going to be brought up every time I make a post outside of DD?
^ you sound like one of those smug people. No one cares about your dad driving over a bump in the road, and who he worked for or what he can do..
I really thought this wasn't actually going to be about proper etiquette and instead about how you can fuck the rental company and get away with as much shit with the car as possible. Disappointment.
^ you sound like one of those smug people. No one cares about your dad driving over a bump in the road, and who he worked for or what he can do..
I'm smug about it, because it was a great experience. If something happened to you that made you feel awesome, you'd probably post about it so shut the fuck up. I posted his credentials to back up my argument that he could have fixed the car.
Well great it may of been a great experience to you but maybe you should learn to respect the property of others whether or not your parents are able to repair the damages.
Who are you the moral police? No fun allowed. It belongs to an insurance company. Not a single person, it would have been different if it did.
Because it's a forum and there is no Random Section
It's called Fast Threads.
1. Be nice to the guy that gives you the keys after you give them the deposit 2. Re-fill all of the gas you have used (so if you use half a tank, re-fill the it) 3. Don't be an idiot at the last few hours of rental and do some burnouts and drifts 4. Treat what you rent like your own car (unless you treat every car like crap) 5. Drive it like your own car (as it don't punch it or swerve) 6. Clean up all of the garbage and get all of your stuff before you leave it at the lender. 7. Don't do anything stupid like shit in the gas tank or shit anywhere in the car or vomit or shit like that. Anything else I forgot? Add it. okay, why the hell was it rated dumb?
i think this is the dumbest thread iv ever seen on facepunch, just because you saw the ejaculation etiquette thread doesn't mean you should post a shitty random etiquette thread, OP obviously has never even rented a car out

I work in IT, no one respects us when we tell them to STOP DOWNLOADING WINDOWS ANTIVIRUS 2011. 2: Isn't that YOUR job? I just dropped some bills renting the car, and maybe another bill or two on putting gas in it. If I come back with 5miles to empty, bring a can and smile about it. 3: Bitch please! I do neutral drops at 6,000RPM when I rent a minivan. 4: Not my car, not my problem. Do your regular maintenance. 5: Wait, isnt this the same as 4? Regardless, Imma be doin some off roading in that 300C. 6: Get a maid, Im not yours. 7: I shit in the cabin air filter mind you. Its not stupid shit, its funny. Yeah, you forgot some actual content to your post. And you're getting rated dumb because you are dumb.

Car rentals are usually rip-offs with shit customer service.
Who are you the moral police? No fun allowed. It belongs to an insurance company. Not a single person, it would have been different if it did.
Companies are considered as persons.
Maybe by law.
So much etiquette recently, I am overwhelmed
You know who are awesome? The Indian car-parkers of California. It may sound strange, but it's true! For some reason there are these Indian guys that work at all of the car rental places at airports across California, and they are easily the most polite people I have ever met. For example, I was crossing the cross-walk to Enterprise to rent my vehicle. I noticed one of these famed car-parkers driving up in a sedan, and I stopped. He came to a slow halt and, with an incredibly intricate hand florish akin to Saladin bidding his proud guests to take a seat allows me to cross the cross-walk. He then drives by and wishes me an elegant, tongue rolling "Have an excellent day, young master". You can't make this shit up, these guys are amazing and they take their job to the next level as a professional.
Loss-Damage Waiver = do whatever the hell you want with it like when my family went four wheeling in a rented ford taurus.

I agree with the OP. Why does everyone need to be so critical and oppose eachother?
I agree with the OP. Why does everyone need to be so critical and oppose eachother?
It's just how we here at Facepunch do things.
Why the fuck are you people rating Cypher dumb?
I read the title as Car Hentai Etiquette. I was scared.
You have to be 21, don't you? (at least in the UK)
I got a rental car at 17, about 3 months after I passed my test. 1.8 Astra Best first car ever. :smug:
