Just because The Simpsons and Family Guy are both on FOX doesn't mean that one isn't a bit more family-friendly than the other, either. You have to assess each individual show, not just look at the network's overall identity. And anyone's who's spent at least 5 minutes watching Regular Show or Adventure Time knows that both shows were meant for dual audiences.
