I used to make impromptu mini pizzas by putting sauce, cheese, and pepperoni on bread slices and putting it in a toaster oven. Was pretty good.
Tortilla chips, shredded cheese (or regular cheese if you have it, just rip it into pieces), microwave, instant nachos. Spread the cheese over a layer of tortilla chips, microwave that shit for 30 seconds, bam.
One Minute Sandwich: Get some whole wheat bread for flavor. Get some Tapatio hot sauce, use as a butter replacement. (Butter and hot sauce do not mix very well.) Add Salami. Enjoy. Five Minute Sandwich: Whole wheat bread for flavor. Use mayonnaise instead of butter. Put pepper on top of mayonnaise on each slicer of bread. Just do it. Get several slices of whatever cheese available. Brie is the best. Add either ham or salami, whichever is available. Put it all together and have a good meal.
Kick ass recipe my older brother taught me. It is spicy, beware. -2 slices of white bread. -Bologna. -Louisiana Hot Sauce (Regular). -Pepper. Put the two pieces of bread in the toaster. Get yourself a plate, and put both of the slices of bologna on the plate, and put it in the microwave for 35 seconds. About a minute after you put the bread in the toaster, start the microwave. Ready the hot sauce, and the pepper in the mean time. Once the bologna is ready, it should be bent upwards at the ends, fucking greasy, and hot as fuck. Once the toast pops up, grab that shit, put it on the plate, put both slices of bologna on each piece of bread, put some fuggin' Louisiana on each slice (amount doesn't matter), sprinkle some pepper over the Louisiana, put together the sandwich, eat like a king. You can do this as many times too (obviously), or just add more bologna until your heart is content. Also, for a small side dish, get a bag of Lays, put some on a plate, and put some ketchup all over the chips. Freakin' awesome. Recipe #2: My friend's Dad taught me this one. -Ham (or preferred lunch meat) -Cheese (the little packeted one's Krafts makes.) Open the packet of cheese, and lay it on a plate. It should be in the shape of a square, and very thin. Grab your slice of ham, and lay it on top the cheese. Roll it up like a burrito, and eat it. Repeat until full, or content.
What you need, nigga 2 slices of bread 2 eggs Butter, average amount (just to butter your pan) Salt (optional but helps alot) Ground pepper (same as salt) 1 pan 1. Take two slices of bread and cut a hole about the size of a golf ball into the center of each slice. 2. Butter your pan on medium heat (Around 4 or 6 will suffice, like when you cook eggs) 3. Put the two slices of bread in the pan. 4. You may need to butter your pan a little more if your bread absorbed most of it 5. Crack one egg so the yolk falls into the little hole you made in your bread (do this for both slices obviously) (no butter = oh fuck it's stuck) You can also pop the egg at this step if you don't want it sunnyside up 6. Cook the slices of bread on each of it's sides 7. Hard to explain when you're done, but the end result should be toast with a egg cooked sunnyside up (or just a fried egg) in the middle of it. 8. Sprinkle a dash of salt and ground pepper.
Crack the egg so that the yolk doesn't break in the hole. When the whites are golden brown, pop the yolk and flip dat shit. Here are my variants of the One Eyed Jack. Fire in the Hole. When the egg is put into the bread hole, have a lot of spices/ hot sauce. Put it in around the yolk, wait for whites to cook, break yolk, stir a little bit, more spicy stuff, flip. cook. wait. eat. Canadian Jack. Maple Syrup in the hole while cooking, or on top of the finished product. No creative name for this one: For this one, you need another slice of bread, another egg, and cheese. When you put the egg inside the bread, wait until the bottom is finely cooked, break the yolk, put cheese on top of the bread, on your other slice of bread with the hole inside it, put it on top then crack the other egg into the hole. Flip it quickly, but carefully. Also, as much as I appreciate these recipes, please use real cheese. Not the prepared, wrapped & sliced cheese. Single sliced kraft cheese taste very very bad compared to blocks of processed cheese/ the real deal.
do you have heinz beans or something else? because i have heated them on the hob and in the microwave and i literally cannot taste *any* difference whatsoever
Do you slow cook or fast cook? Slow cook is the best. Heinz > Branson for sure.
i just whack'em in for about 2 minutes and BAM! beans are done
Smothering butter all over some tortillas is how I stay alive when there's no food here. It's my failsafe, really.
Smothering butter all over some tortillas is how I stay alive when there's no food here. It's my failsafe, really.
Butter on tortillas then put them in the oven. tortilla chips, baby.
Putting a tortilla on the stove and heating it up, then covering it in ranch, rolling it up, and eating it is also good.
Putting a tortilla on the stove and heating it up, then covering it in ranch, rolling it up, and eating it is also good.
I have never heard of this but now I want to try it.
It's really good. Well, for me, anyhow. Another good recipe, no cooking needed. -Cheerios -Peanut Butter -Spoon (any size) Dip your spoon in a jar of peanut butter, then dip it into the Cheerios, then eat. Repeat until nourished or content.
Fluffernutter; Take bread Add peanut butter Add fluff Add more bread
baked potatoes!! cheap as anything, 8-10 mins in the microwave (i'm a jacket snob so insist on oven baking but i appreciate that takes faaaar too long) then just top with whatever you want!! baked beans, cheese, chilli, tuna... or even just plain old butter! pesto pasta is also a good one. pasta is as cheap as anything and a pot of pesto shouldn't set you back more than £1.50/£2.00, and you should get a good 6-8 servings from one pot!
Boiled potatoes as well, they're really easy to make. Best vegetable ever.
Easiest thing to do with potato, cut it into wedges, parboil for 10 minutes or less. Should be half way cooked. Put on baking tray, drizzle with a bit of olive oil, put salt, pepper and curry powder (or similar spices) on top. Bake till cook. Fucking amazing.
Slippery-Q should be mod for this section. He's provided me with ghetto-dinner recipes to live off of for the next week. :v:
Here's a little recipe that helped me in those 11th hour times on my days off, requiring only oil, a slice of bread and an egg (as well as a frying pan and possibly some ketchup and/or butter). -First, oil the pan and put it on the stove/hob. -Next, cut a slice of bread, then cut a hole in said bread slice. -Start up the hob/stove (I usually put it on high) and put the bread in the pan. -Crack the egg and pour out the contents into the hole in the middle of the bread. -Keep frying it, turning it over every now and then so both sides get fried and cooked. -Serve on a plate once both sides are done. -Put on some ketchup or butter (or both if you're like that), and eat it up. Congratulations! You have cooked Egg-In-The-Basket! I've had fond memories of that ol' tasty, although I haven't really had it lately. Perhaps i'll have it for lunch tomorrow, as that's my day off. Not so foul, methinks.
Despite it not being the cheapest thing around, in many cases I have found that Philadelphia Cream Cheese (Light (I prefer it cause it's thicker than full fat) is amazing for quick meals. Bread, Philadelphia, pepper (lots), BAM! Tasty ass snack. Oh, you want a meal? Pasta, Philadelphia, Tuna, BAM! Creamy gourmet pasta dish. You want desert with that? Bananas mashed in a pan on the hob/hotplate/AGA etc, Philadelphia, heat/cook until sweet smell of cooked bananas rises (or to your personal tastes) and then, BAM! You have a great desert, can be served hot or cold. More to come! (Probably)

A bacon sandwich with Philadelphia and sweet chili sauce is godly.

Texan dumpling Inspired by Epic Meal Time. INGREDIENTS: 2 slices of texas toast (or regular white bread), 1 egg, Baked beans OR leftovers from something you had the other day. 2 slices of bread makes 1 dumpling. STEPS TO SUCCESS: Get two slices of bread and slice the crust off on each piece. On one slice of bread, put whatever you want in the middle of your dumpling. Be sure the inside of the dumpling is cooked already. I prefer baked beans. Using a fork or your fingers, seal the edges of your dumpling. Crack an egg in a container that can fit your whole dumpling. Whisk egg. Put your dumpling in the egg mix. cover both sides and edges. If you want to be a fatty, deep fry it. If not, put some oil in a pan then fry it yourself. The outside should be golden brown and the inside should be warm and derishious. Enjoy.

Here's a nice simple and relativly cheap reciepie I've got, makes plenty left overs too. Simply called Meatballs and Potatoes! Cut up one potato into cubes (or two if you want some more leftovers) and put it in a pot. Throw in a few meatballs (however many you want, not too much though and pre-made frozen ones work best). Then add one can of Cream of Mushroom soup (or any kinda of Cream of X soup), and half a can's worth of water (if you did two potatoes I reccomend you use two cans of the soup). Stir in, add pepper. Bring to boil, once it starts boiling, cover the pot and drop the temp to low. Cook for about 30 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Great effortless meal that tastes pretty good assuming you like potatoes and meatballs.
