how can you dislike them. :saddowns:
jumping spiders are cute as fuck, as strange as it sounds. they looks so goofy with their huge open eyes and mouth things that look like giant buckteeth.
the second one looks like it has a stache too. fucking sweet.
But-but-but jumpers are awesome!

Very relevant. What type is it?
It's so fuzzy :3:
Fuck, spiders creep the shit out of me. They're just so wrong.
Very relevant. What type is it?
Chilean rose hair (scientific name Grammostola rosea). They're the most common type of tarantula to keep as a pet because they're incredibly docile.
Really, they're just lazy as hell. Their ideal day involves spending 8 hours sitting in one spot, moving maybe an inch over, repeat.
I've had mine for just a couple months, her name's Christiane :3 (name's from Eyes Without a Face by Georges Franju)
I'd really love to keep more arachnids as pets (I really want an emperor scorpion) but as a teenager with a mom who's terrified of bugs and snakes (and pretty much everything else that I love), I'm lucky to be able to keep Christiane. My mom's warming up to her though, so I might try asking about getting a scorpion soon.
Upon seeing the first picture I experienced the 'creepy crawlies.'
That's adorable. :3:
I don't see why people are so freaked out by spiders, I mean I just thing they're creepy looking.
put it on your hand, i wanna see how big it is
put it on your hand, i wanna see how big it is
This is totally open for abuse :v:
On topic, i think that would be pretty cool so we can gauge how big it is.
Id try to keep one but i couldnt at home and my landlord wouldnt let me keep it in the new house, which is fail.
That's fucking creepy dude! I hate spiders..
No we dont, i need all you fellow arachnophobes to join me in my quest to rid myself of that horrible psychological problem so i can appreciate these creatures, like they deserve.
One day, I noticed a spider in a corner of my room and I thought, shit! Realizing how much of a pussy I am, I left it alone and now it's made this huge fucking web and just sits there.
Five months on and it's still there.
And that's the story of how I became I man.
Defanged pet tarantulas are the only spiders I can stand.
The ones with tiny bodies and giant thin fucking legs. God damn those all need to get the fuck out of my house and die.

Daddy Longlegs are even more harmless then a defanged tarantula.
At least daddy longlegs can't shoot their leg hairs at you like some hellish projectile.
Hit it with a shovel!

I'm guessing you have no idea what urticating hairs are?
tarantulas typically have a patch of hairs on their abdomen called urticating hairs that they can flick at a predator, usually at its eyes. I've read a news article about a guy partly losing his vision because of urticating hairs being embedded in his eyes. Many tarantulas will flick hairs before they bite, so being defanged doesn't help a hell of a lot. Aside from that, it's beyond me how a tarantula would eat without its fangs. Defanging a spider sounds pretty cruel to me.

I once walked into a cobweb. Thank god no spiders were in it.
Yes I know the tarantulas have itching hairs. I learnt that back when I was 10 or some shit. It's still better than those disgusting daddy longlegs.
Goliath bird eating spiders. Holy shit.

Poodles are fuzzier and arguably cuter.

I think tarantulas are cute and consider poodles to be rather atrocious.
Apparently if you get bitten by a black widow, one of the symptoms can be that your dick doesn't go flaccid...

Theres nothing I fucking hate more than spiders.
The way they move, how they sit in one spot for days on end, oh god and I cant stand their young theres so fucking many of them.
Haters gon' hate my spida babies
Ahhhh!!! Why did I click!!! I fucking hate spiders! I get all freaked out just from pictures and I'm on my itouch so the pictures are so goddamn big! We need a spider holocaust.
I don't see how anyone likes spiders or thinks they're cute. They're disgusting, scary things. I think most people will agree. Just my thoughts.
