Most people learn that when they are mature enough anyway. Even if you tell that to a teenager, it wouldn't change anything.

There's a difference between not caring what [b]anybody[/b] thinks and not caring what people who won't have an impact on your life think. It's important, to me at least, to care what my friends and people I like think of me. However I'm one of those people who tries to appease everybody, so I'm trying to cut back on going out of my way to make everyone like me.

I always listen to people and evaluate what they say. What i don't need to care about, like "your mom" jokes or [generic idiotic comment A], I simply don't care about, but I do care about important stuff, like my little sister saying "look at my drawing ain't it cute?".
I figured this out like a year ago. Made life a whole lot easier.
