Bumping this thread with some news from outer space:
Recently Hubble took a photo of a planetary nebula:

I don't like how they all look even more similar to each other than the last set. I hope they keep their varying heights at least

Judging from the catalog pics (and the poster), they seem to vary by about 1-2 modules (I don't think they'll all have the same leg bone build).
Also Kopaka has (after 5 god damn years) dark blue shells on his forearms.
man why did they make them have lower and upper body as one piece, I loved tearing em in half back in the day
also Onua lost his swoleness what's up with that
Bionicle was riding the nostalgia wave. The Skull guys just looked so boring and generic compared to the varied villain molds of the past. If we had something, say, with a complete new design like the Bohrok or Visorak I could see better sales. Maybe if they made more of the spiders like that one figure of wave one was. The skull things were just the Toa with no nostalgia value and less varied weapons.

That new waist/hip piece certainly looks interesting. Makes a change from the usual arm swinging action. Also looks like Ikir's wings are geared.
I swear if that is a two for one fused mask on Tahu I'll be pissed. I hated when they did that with Vezon. A little bit with Makuta too

What do you mean?
That "fused mask" is made out of Ikir's head just sitting on top of Tahu's golden mask.
It's of more of a "piraka mask/neck" situation, where it's going to be difficult posing the head.

Yeah I see know what's going on there, at a glance from mobile it looked like a single fused mask.
Have you ever wondered what was Kulta supposed to look like?

He was supposed to be a devastator-type villain!
I just hope the designers don't abandon this idea.

I did my 1st ever pumpkin carving this year (something resembling Jack Skellington), so I decided to make my 2nd one a bit more appropriate:

So why did Kopaka get bundled with his familiar?
So why did Kopaka get bundled with his familiar?
Probably 3 reasons:
-He's Kopaka
- considering Umarak is in the background of the box, it could also be story reasons (Maybe we don't get Tahu as the main character in next year's animations)
- a way to show kids the "uniting" feature
Another month, another round of leaks, this time HD!

Maybe it'll look swole when combined with his creature?
I'm still wondering where Terak's paws go when combined, since they've got Onua's shoulder pads/armor in the way.
Also nice to see all the creatures have a function (love Ketar's so far)

Official pictures have been found on LEGO's servers, including pics on how the combining feature works.
Also looks like Lewa is sporting new yellow axles.

Gali really looks kinda odd to me - not as cool as she always used to be.
Kopaka looks the best imo (Phantoka Kopaka was my number one favorite before)
