So I found this guy in Walmart and had to grab him:

Not really Bionicle-related but...

Well, there's new shell addons, so that's something I guess.

They're also re-introducing discontinued bones and shells, and that might possibly mean we might see them again in bionicle.

Oooohh, looks like there is actually an army of skeletons.
Boxart seems to hint at these guys stealing the masks right off the Toa's faces. Brutal. Still dunno about the translucent effect, though.

It's like Galidor/Ben 10/Old Technic Star Wars characters mixed together.
That Vader looks badass, not gonna lie

maybe it's another throwback to 2001 and they're actually infected masks
maybe it's another throwback to 2001 and they're actually infected masks
If those are infected masks, then why would the bad guys 'help' the good ones by removing the infected mask?

Nah, if they were infected masks then they'd all have the same "infected" color effect.
Some nice closeups over at Toyark

They look so silly with their proportionate, human-sized feet.
[editline]e[/editline]
Also, why does luke have handcuffs? Missed that scene in the movie.
I think that's from the jabba rescue
I thought it was from the Final Duel in ROTJ. He had handcuffs and was removed by the Emperor.
Oh guess I really did miss that scene then.

Them mothafuckin' bootlegs man
In fact, nobody has still thought of the possible Bio2015 rip-offs...
Jeez did 3/5 the models really need the same swords with them? It's 2015 guys, you have more than one sword model.
potato and onion are the only ones with unique weapons pretty much
Now, what I'm going to tell you now might or might not be Real, so take this with a grain of salt.
Apparently some dude on 4chan has seen what are supposed to be the "prelim" 2016 sets.
however, remember that we should take this with a grain of salt.
don't really have that much info. Just assumptions based on the preliminary sets i saw.
Was at a family funeral 2 weeks ago and started talking to my sister. Found out my 9 year old nephew was going in for a lego "play test". I took him instead of her and it turns out this little guy had been part of the target market play testing or whatever it's called 3 times now.
Got to see what i'm assuming are the preliminary winter 2016 wave sets.

First of all, they looked very preliminary.
Some were using recycled masks, and even glued together parts as well as some weird bumpy parts that were grey that looked like they were 3d printed

There were 6 villains a larger Ekimu figure and a small thing which i think may be developed into 6 small sets?
The Ekimu figure was basically in between Tahu and Ekimu design wise

They sat down with my nephew and a few other kids while the parents all talked. They asked them which ones they liked and what they liked about them, asked what colours they would like better (2 kids said gold)
The ekimu figure was the kids favorite and they all seemed to be enjoying the little thing too

The little thing was quadruped and sort of resembled the bionicle tarduk but with a sort of spiky head that was trans neon green and attached to the body. By pressing a function on the back the head shot off. It sort of looked like a ghost on a body but with a face.
The bad guys had the same body function/shooter on one arm but the ghost things that shot off didn't have faces, but designs instead. They might be the collectable for this wave.
The little guy was basically a shooter with legs attached and little claws

There was the use of a platinum like colour on the villains chest armor. It was definitely not silver. A lot shinier. It's longer than the toa chest plates but still fits on the 2 studs body pieces i think.
A new armor piece that most of them had was an armor add on that comes out at an angle and then curves down. It was that weird dark grey as well as their masks
The villains looked pretty futuristic but not in a robot way.
They were very streamlined looking. 4 or 5 used what look to be rounded leg armor pieces, haven't seen them before.
One guy was tan with trans purple accents and some platinum armor.
Had 2 of those new shooters as arms (with trans purple ghost things) and a cape. That set really stood out for me.

There was a platinum, dark grey and trans orange guy that used those rib cage pieces on the tops of his arms.
Had a club in one hand and a shooter in the other.
There was a trans blue, platinum and black guy that had weird long legs
There was a another that was trans yellow and platinum and dark grey. It had horns. unexciting except for a new whip piece that was trans yellow, the new shooter and a cape.
I'm personally calling this B.S. until we get to the leak season, BUT they guy said he was going to try and draw them, so maybe there's a little hope.
Before I have to pack all my stuff up, I found a small - medium sized box which lo and behold, had salvaged lego and bioncle bits from when they were getting donated. My bionicle I had set aside to not be taken but my mum of course took them and lumped them in the lego boxes.
Anyhow, that's how my 7 year conquest between the two ended, but I managed to rebuild one of them with the salvaged pieces.

Don't ask what that lego figure is doing, they still hate each other I think.
plus there's only two fuckin eye colors. come on.
Eh, while the limited colors are definitely annoying, the eye slots themselves aren't really all that smaller than most of the old ones, with the exception of the Inika.
Also I'm kind of impressed that the little ones actually have eye color pieces this time.
Now that I have Onua I must do him justice and say his colour scheme is perfectly fine.
I have to say though that the new heads are a step backwards, the dark eyestalks and narrow eyes let barely any light through. All the official imagery is edited to hide this fact and tbh I feel betrayed by LEGO.
All i'd have to say on onua that the gold 'shells' are placed really forcefully, like just because they had to make large toas with them. I'd personally swap them with silver ones if i had them in spare
plus there's only two fuckin eye colors. come on.
We're getting a trans. red. orange eyestalk with the summer sets.
BUT if we also consider the animation models...
If LEGO decides to make a pre-corrupted Makuta then we might get a trans. purple eyestalk.
Someone make this real pls
I found some of the pieces but for the fucking life of me I know I have the launcher thingy but I can't fucking find it. If I do I'll try to design my own version and attach it to someone.
How complete was that Skyrim Bionicle mod? Could probably use some parts for heavy reskinning.
