My dog ate wild grapes and is probably going to die

I clenched my fist through the entire OP, I'M DEPRESSED NOW! :<
This reminds me of the time my dog ate a whole box of Dunkin Donuts on top of my fridge.
He climbed up on top (don't ask how, I have no fucking idea), ate the 9 that were left while we were gone, shat ALL OVER the house, and was perfectly fine when we got home.
Hope yours makes it.

When doctors say that I'm pretty sure it's just to make you feel better.
But still, be .

Wait a second. TH89 is moderator again? :wtc:
Man,that sucks,what can I say.
Its not like I can do anythign to make it better.
Dude, that really sucks. I think most of Facepunch, along with myself knows how it feels to lose a really close pet. It's just not the same as losing a family member or a friend.
Still, I really hope she pulls through. Good luck.
my dog loves grapes and i used to give her like3-5 every time i was eating them. she also accidentally ate my adhd medicine, drank coffe, and ate my fucking slice of chocolate cake. she's a weiner dog.
i guess she's lucky.
but i hope your dog's health pulls through and she lives, since i know what it's like to lose a man's best friend.
Rated funny because I once had a dog that died of eating chocolate once and I got kinda upset, but then I found out that it was meant to be a prank. Sorry for your loss.
I don't see why this is rated funny.
And sorry OP :(
I think it was the indigestion part.
Your dog's personality sounds so close to mine...its gotta be heartbreaking having to wait and see what happens.
I had a black lab that I greatly under appreciated until some dumb ass left out a huge container of chocolate and she got to them. We had to put her down and I can safely say i will never under appreciate my four legged pals ever again.
Hope you don't have to endure a similar experience...
It's funny because my dog has three legs.

Hopefully your dog makes it.
That suck's, I really hope everything turns out all right for you
I had a sort of similar experience a year ago. My dog, who my family has had since I was around 5 years old was fighting cushings disease. One day was particularly bad for her, and she ended up having to go to the vet, where we were fully expecting to have to put her down. She managed to pull through, and lived another year, but I was scared shitless at the time that I was going to loose my dog.
OP any update on your dog?
OP any update on your dog?
I second this. How's it doing?
I love how everyone is heart broken for an animal they don't know, but when a human dies tragically, they make shitty puns about it all day.
yes, it may die, but seriously, people. "Oh your friends dying, make a thread about it herp derp ass hole" and "Oh your cats dying, I feel for you, bro.", then anyone who makes a joke is suddenly the biggest asshole ever, and he gets 50 dumbs.
life goes on, and we stop every once a day, week, then a month, then a year about these kinds of things, you'll get a new dog if it does die, and everything is ok.
We wouldn't make jokes if a facepuncher's family member died. It's all about distance.
and I'll update in an hour or so.

That doesn't happen.
I'm sorry about that man, it's tough to lose a member of the family. Hope everything turns out alright. Good luck.
Hope for the best; expect the worst. Good words to live by.
Hope for the best; expect the worst. Good words to live by.
My creedo is pretty much the same: Expect the best, prepare for the worst.
Wow, people rated the OP funny. That's stupid.
On topic, I feel for you. My dog passed away recently, so I can relate slightly.
My Jack Russell gets a grape now and then (like every two months or so), but she's lived to a be a healthy 13 year old (still kickin', too, albeit slower than usual): never once been to the vet except for her shots. I never would've guessed grapes had this effect on dogs. I guess one isn't enough to have an effect or something.
If it has time to pass out of the system, it's fine, depending if it tends to build up. But my mum was using it like training treats. One every single time she did something like sit or standing up straight or fetching something.
I feel your pain man, my dog has an enlarged kidney and we aren't sure if its a tumor or not, she was peeing in the house and not eating for about 2 weeks. She's feeling better now but my family just cant afford another major surgery to prolong her life.
But best of luck to you my friend. :unsmith:
I'm rooting for you and your dog. I really hope all goes well. Best of luck
Holy shit, I didn't know grapes were bad for dogs :O
this makes me sad
i hope your dog's ok
Im sorry dude, at least your dog died comfortably, my dog drowned.
We had to put her down
I shed a tear.
Im sorry op.

I don't think being sucked out of energy, dehydration, hunger and kidney-failure is that comfortable :O
