Seriously, ask them if they have any plans to form a separate party for the 2012 elections. And find out which tea party they belong to, there's like 3.

Ask them if they supported the bail outs for American companies in the GFC. If they say yes, ask why they support massive government regulation (and the resultant increased taxation), to the point where some companies were effectively nationalized. If they say no, ask them why they wanted the American economy to collapse (whether they would ruin the US for ideological reasons)and what, if any, alternate solutions they had. Then shoot down that solution.
