Back to the topic, I would ask about their stances on technology or video games.
ask them why they're cunts!
Enough with the frog. It's being overused in this thread WAY to much. For Christs sake, hes from Australia, why would he be interested in whats going on in American politics?
Ask them what they think of Ann Coulter :v:
Damnit, every time someone mentions them, I think of these guys:

Feels bad man
Bring a dictionary and ask them what socialism means and how free healthcare is socialist
Bring a dictionary and ask them what socialism means and how free healthcare is socialist
What? Free healthcare is socialist.
Wait it is
I withdraw my statement then
ask them why free healthcare is bad, when Europe has prospered from it.
Ask them how it feels to be retarded
Wait it is
I withdraw my statement then
Yes, it's a socialist idea, but that doesn't mean a state with free healthcare is strictly socialist.
Honestly, just about every political ideology has at least a few good ideas.

Precisely. Capitalism and socialism both have good ideas, but, for example, I don't think any one (that is sane) wants a return to the days of unfettered capitalism and the massive problems that went with that (e.g. child labour etc.).

Generally the extremes of an ideology are exactly that - extreme.
Ask them about the US defense budget, specifically about a lower budget and their opinion on that.
Also ask them how they think it would be possible to upkeep a sustainable United States if the government reduces taxes even further.
let me sum up this entire thread
Ask them a bunch of questions only people with far left political ideals would ask
Disliking the tea party has little to do with not liking right wing ideas, it more has to do with not liking really bad ideas.
Ask them about their solutions for the economy and foreign policy, then play devil's advocate. Don't be a jerk to them, be nice, because they can probably argue better than you can (unless you're really THAT thickheaded).
[editline]6th June 2011[/editline]
Also, ask them why you felt like going on Facepunch of all places when you KNEW that you would just be getting a bunch of left-wingnuts haranging the tea party. (Seriously, guys, why not just answer his question and leave your bias out of it). Then again, for teh lulz................................................

Well that was a horrible post.
Yeah, it was really fucking terrible, wasn't it.
Excuse me, I have a condition which makes me a left-wingnut that can't help himself haranging the tea party.
xD xD BUT I DO IT FOR TEH LULZ!!
:frog:
edit: what is this sarcastic parody you speak of? i have no idea what such a concept is
Ask them what they would pick if America suddenly vanished and they had to move to another country
Don't let them dodge the question and say "I wouldn't because that can't happen", I'm legitimately interested
Who is currently responsible for the downfall of America; Jews, Muslims or Satan? I am not adding progressives and the UN because every conservative conspiracy theory with their salt has one of the three groups I listed at the puppermasters of the later two.
Ask about their opinion of big government.
They'll probably say they want small government while simultaneously saying abortions should be illegal.

"Lowering taxes will make amurrica unsustainable we wont have enough nukes and tanks to kill people".
Yeah that would totally be your end if military taxing was reduced. You already have the biggest military and obviously even if its size was cut by 1/3 it's still gonna be larger than anything you're going to fight. Any world war 3 scenarios are completely unconnected to the military budget because it would be probably ran entirely on nukes. And those you have already enough.
My point is you could very easily just lower the budget for killing people, stalking/surveiling on people and making things for killing people.
I don't think any one (that is sane) wants a return to the days of unfettered capitalism and the massive problems that went with that (e.g. child labour etc.).
Hi.
Also, child labor is not really the fault of 'unfettered' capitalism, per se, but the inevitable result of an inefficient economy. Take for example, America, if all the factories and machinery and vehicles and everything else efficient in the economy exploded tomorrow spontaneously, people would struggle to support a family on the income of two parents alone. This is because more advanced economies allow for a higher productive capacity per person and a higher standard of living per person, eventually, you are able to abolish child labor. This can't really be credited to government, it might end the isolated incidences of child labor after the economy is sustainable without it, but as evidenced in Bangladesh, if you attempt to stop child labor before that time it will end up in economic decimation of the lower income families.
(Long story short the UN stuck it's big fat nose into Bangladesh's child labor "problem", the problem being that people had to resort to child labor because the income of parents wouldn't sustain the family on it's own, so, general starvation and child prostitution skyrocketed. A little less rosy, they eventually admitted that the problem was poverty and not stinky parents or government policy)

Ask them why they're willing to sacrifice their economic principles in favor of religious ones.
[editline]e[/editline]
Also ask them how a military empire is a conservative position
Ask them what they like to eat with their tea. Biscuits, cookies or scones?
