• Closing your eyes, and still seeing?

Yes, this is a rather useless thread. But, i fear as if i may be going crazy or just special. Whenever i try to close my eyes, i feel as if i still see what was in front of me more than a mere second ago. The environments don't change, but it so surreal. It's almost as if i am awake but dreaming, and after i open my eyes, i feel as if i don't know if time has passed or not. FacePunch, am i going crazy =/
playa u gone mad, peace~
yea
I get that sometimes, it seems like I can see through my eyelids. It's pretty freaky
you can obviously see without eyes quick cut out your eyes.

Wish I did though, cause it'd be cool to have a name to stick to it and make it seem more valid and less my visual cortex fucking up.
You sound high.
You sound high.
I am not.
did you make sure you still have your eyelids?
did you make sure you still have your eyelids?
I'm pretty uncertain about this statement.
I can walk around my house with my eyes closed.
I am not.
get extremely blazed, close your eyes, travel to new worlds
get extremely blazed, close your eyes, travel to new worlds
That is fun, when you don't have to worry about getting a new job :/
I can normally still see the outlines of what I was last looking at.
Well you should check. Sometimes eyelids can tuck under themselves and cut off blood supply, leading to gangrene. You should take a fork or a similar sharp edged object and jam it right under your eyelid, swish around a little bit until you are sure the lids are not tangled. I hope this helps.

You're probably just so tired or in lack of something pretty vital so your brain doesn't really process stuff that easily. I bet if you go somewhere you haven't been before that often and close your eyes and take a walk you'll stumble about and not know where the fuck you are.

I think this phenomenon might be called lumo-effigial retention. [sp]Making up words is fun.[/sp]
This happens because the light burns your retina's a little bit. Next time you're in a bright room put your head down on the desk, in your arms. Look up blink your eyes open and put your head down again. You can see an out line of everything. Possibly even details like words you didn't read yet.

It's not like being able to wander around with my eyes closed or seeing the outlines of things, it's just around 2-5 seconds after I close my eyes that I see what I was last looking at, and I can kind of glance around and still see. It's pretty limited, usually like I'm reading a book at a desk and I close my eyes, and I can still see the book and the words. It goes away almost immediately when I realize it's happening.
