Extremely old and it's obviously satire.

Cryptonomicon is a hacker manual? Shoulda got that the other day instead of 1984..
Recent TH89 renamed the thread in General Discussion from “How to tell your child is a hacker - An unintentional comedy by an idiot” to How to tell your child is a hacker - A funny satire that the OP thought was real hahahaha [editline]08:02PM[/editline] I remember seeing this awhile ago

If your son has requested a new "processor" from a company called "AMD", this is genuine cause for alarm. AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking. AMD chips are never sold in stores, and you will most likely be told that you have to order them from internet sites. Do not buy this chip! This is one request that you must refuse your son, if you are to have any hope of raising him well.
AMD makes you a hacker too!
Whoever wrote that is a C.O.C.K.S.U.C.K.E.R. because AMD have been some of the best processors i've worked with. Also if they don't like AMD they won't like ATI either...
This was posted on adequacy.org many years ago.
i posted this in oify a while ago. fuxin lunix [editline]04:38AM[/editline] also it's all fake on adequacy. it's a troll website
I swear to God, someone fails to see the satire on that site every single day. And every single day they make a thread about it here.
Hahahahah! Are you seriously telling me that OP thought this was real? Jesus titty-fucking Christ!
" Our son Peter was most entranced by the device, and became quite a pro at surfing the net." Ooooooo, scary!
confusion never stops cl-- Y'know what, I don't care if this is old. It's still amazing.
i call shenanigans
This has to be a joke.
I hope this is a joke. I opened CMD, it has now become obvious that I am indeed a hacker.
It' not so sad that it's satire. What's sad is that there are Evangelical Christian Republicans out there that believe every word of it and take it all as fact. Even the AMD and Russian Linux parts.
I laughed at the Quake thing. "Hide all the firearms in your house, and install trigger locks" :v:
CNN tells me my microsoft isn't even Y2K compatible!
Fox says that Windows 7 isn't Y2K compatible...
It's too bad this isn't real.
