eraserhead is where it's at
I should be getting the DVDs of Twin Peaks in the mail in a week or two.
I've heard that Lynch has kinda sold out, what do you guys think? Edit: Also, anyone got a link to watch Mulholland Drive?
Twin peaks is fucking awesome, especially the ending. Did anyone notice the references to Twin Peaks in the first Max Payne game?
I can't remember, what was it?
Hipsters love david lynch
I've seen mulholland drive and eraserhead. Mulholland drive was incredible, probably one of my favorite films, however eraserhead not so much. Eraserhead was obviously deeper than Mariana's Trench, but depth alone makes a deep movie, not necessarily a good one. I did get a feel of the affect he was going for, isolation, no hope, decay, reminded me of a place I used to live, this was reinforced when I read it was based on his experiences living in some place, don't remember where exactly
Watching Elephant Man... it's so hard to watch.
It is, but it's very good. If you don't completely break down in the last scene then no you never will
I'm watching Inland Empire right now. I'll probably be having nightmares tonight won't I? [editline]06:37PM[/editline] i am so fucking confused right now
gad fucking dammit david do you have to use like 10 cheap scares at me. i plan on sleeping tonight. [editline]08:42PM[/editline] huh beck has a song in it.
Black Tambourine. Great song. What did you think of it?
The movie? Well to be honest it's probably my least favourite of the David Lynch movies I've seen. At times it just seemed like he was trying to hard to be difficult and it almost felt like a parody. Maybe if I watch it five more times I might understand it and grow to like it. I dunno. [editline]01:25PM[/editline] On the plus side it was pretty creepy and it did do a good job of capturing the atmosphere, and the story was pretty interesting. At least, what I think the story is.
I hated it on my first viewing, but it's since become my favourite. I watched it twice more recently and realised it's pretty amazing. Especially for a movie that was made solely because David Lynch "Liked the word INLAND, and I liked the word EMPIRE." Seriously. This is his reason for making this movie. He wrote it as he went along.
I finally got the first season of Twin Peaks a couple days ago and watched the first few episodes. It's good so far. Does the Log Lady actually do anything? Or is she just some sort of comic relief character?
She's a pretty important character, doesn't do much for a while though.

I finished season 1 of Twin Peaks. I've heard that the second season isn't as good, and that it's helluva lot more incomprehensible.
literally no one cares what you think about david lynch's work
And no one cares about your inane statement either.

Mulholland Drive was an amazing movie. I look forward to watching some of Mr. Lynch's other films.
Check out Lost Highway, it's very similar!

Why was it utter failure?
