• How often do government websites go down?

Not too often I'm guessing.
I'm pretty sure government sites would have backup servers in case one happened to go down.

The cheapest bidder being a good £3000 per year for something shite noone never looks at, in some cases. Hence the 'paid specialists' can be pretty fucking incompetent themselves, as they're not government officials or anything, they've just been given the .gov domain to host.
Doesn't every server need service once in a while? I mean problems occur and I don't think the government has infallible servers because god knows nothing else it working in it...
