I can't wait , just as long as they remove the age limit and just have a height limit
I doubt they'll have an age limit like that, it's probably just a marketing ploy so that when they allow anyone on the ride, everyone thinks they're super lucky and flock to it.
They'll have to do something awesome to beat Corkscrew, that was the best rollercoaster ever.
Height restrictions, now age restrictions. Wonderful. If it really is going to limit you to 1 ride per day, it must be really fucking scary then. And I know what you're gonna say, "It's a marketing ploy" but what if it isn't?
I was talking about going to Alton Towers with a group of friends soon, shame this wont be available until March 2010. This sounds pretty damn awesome. Also, you spelt the name of the ride wrong in the title, it's meant to be Th13een
Sitting in a metal cart can only be so scary.

I want to know how they supposedly implemented psychological thrill into a roller-coaster, unless it's just a marketing ploy.
I love roller coasters, I'd like to try this fucker out.
I hate alton towers, you always spend more time waiting in lines than actually going on rides
Having friends who are "disabled" gets me back passes with them :smug:
Gah, wish I was in the UK ONLY for this...
They are considering this ride to be so fucking scary that they are considering a 16-55 age limit and a one per day ride , I fucking hope not, considering I'm 15
Does anyone else see the irony in a ride called thirteen with an age requirement of 16
Never heard of Alton Towers
I used to think I hated rollercoasters because they were too scary. This year I discovered that I don't. In fact, I only thought this because I kept going to Blackpool, where most of the coasters are old wooden shits that feel like they're going to fall apart at any second. Now THAT'S a scary ride. No seriously Blackpool sucks dick, Alton Towers is awesome.
R.I.P Corkscrew :frown: This new ride had better be good...
I remember the big board for this when I went earlier this year. They're retheming the old Ug Land section to be like now aren't they? That includes a recolouring of Rita. About time they redid that area, it had about two sideshows which were prehistoric themed and the rest of it had been taken down or moved into different theme areas (That bit with Nemesis, whatever the area is called) and replaced with a single massive red ride, over in seconds. And of course, on the site of Corkscrew, this.
Looks totally badass.
I go to Alton Towers the day the kids go back to school. Hardly any lines what-so-ever. Rode Oblivion 4 times in a row.
How does this place compare to Six Flags?
How does this place compare to Six Flags?
This is the UK we are talking about here. AT has height restrictions on their rides, and I mean literally. I mean the actual track height not the rider height. It's a good thrill for us UK'ers though :)
alton towers i remember playing rct the park was AWESOME
Ah no the corkscrew! Well it wasn't that good but more of a nostalgic thing. Oblivion for the win?
rollercoasters are usually yawns for me. i dont not like them but i dont get a rush from them theyre just like..meh i like themed rides better like haunted mansion.. jaws/the mummy in florida that kind of thing since this is both i can't wait to ride it but not expecting much more than an outside ride over a few static props
Guys Corkscrew was terrible! It was like the oldest ride there. My head ached SO much when I got off it...
What kind of "scary" is this? Scary as in "Oh shit i'm gonna crash" or "holy shit those hooded guys are coming towards us"?
What kind of "scary" is this? Scary as in "Oh shit i'm gonna crash" or "holy shit those hooded guys are coming towards us"?
No one knows but I still lol'd at the examples
So. Basically its a rollercoaster designed to make you shit your self. Interesting...
So. Basically its a rollercoaster designed to make you shit your self. Interesting...
I know the concept is so new and original
Visitors may also be limited to one ride per day and be required to sign a waiver which assures the Resort of their physical and mental health to avoid any resulting lawsuits.
Sure, it looks awesome and all from all the pictures of it that you didn't post, but why in fuck's cunt would you ride a roller coaster that you have to waive your rights to get on? That is REALLY asking for trouble, 'cause after you sign that if you lose a foot it isn't their problem.
Just a quick note, there is a preview weekend for the week before the park officially opens next year. 1 Night in hotel, unlimited access to water parks and your allowed to see behind the scenes in the park but your not allowed on any other rides, just 1 ride on the new ride. Guess how much all this costs. The ridiculous price of . £360 EACH ..... FFFFFFFFFF Fucking fail, but my point is, they made no text stating that its 16 and over for the weekend.
I hate going to Alton Towers because it's in the middle of nowhere and you have to wait in a traffic jam in a tiny village for about an hour to get in. Also its gotten much more popular in recent years so its full of people which means really long lines.

It was so fucking funny, I had was 1 of the ONLY single riders on Spinball Whizzer and there was a queue like 1 mile long and I walked past EVERY single person in the queue and they all gave me evils, was so fucking funny.
