it's not asinine at all. I've never mentioned hyundai first.
You could easily replace "keep your stupid hyundai crap out of here" with "keep your shit mentality and opinion on cars out of here". I used "Hyundai crap" because that's what me and other people generally think of when your standing on cars comes to mind. Consider the following:
you're just mad that I criticize american cars. I'm sorry, but hyundai has more reliable cars than GM manufacturers, and GM manufacturers have a terrible reputation
Gee, people keep baiting you with Hyundai-related remarks. I think the reason might have something to do with the fact that you religiously defend Hyundai whenever it's brought up. That, and you've had a history to bring about discussion of Hyundai one way or another.
alright cool, you're admitting that people are constantly trolling with the hyundai remarks. second, it really doesn't have to do with defending hyundai. it's more about keeping the facts straight. for example, if you guys were shit posting about nissan and trying to say chevy makes more reliable cars than them, then I would call you out for it as well. and once again, the only reason I ever post about hyundai is because someone mentions them to me. if that didn't occur then I'd never be discussing them.

Only one thing to conclude: the Malibu is an unreliable rust-bucket.

Well for starters if its about "keeping the facts strait" then why don't you put out the effort check the facts to begin with (those charts are from edmunds.com, they weren't entirely difficult to find)? Secondly, people are
"trolling" you because of your bias. You've been known to worship Hyundai and as a result people are bringing the inevitable conversation to you rather than you to them.
I don't doubt for a second that if that situation you mentioned were to come up, you would do what you did. This is probably because your bias goes in the order: Hyundai > Japanese and Korean cars > American cars.

okay, so you found one reliable chevy car. what about the other several cars they make? like I said before, hyundai makes more reliable cars than chevy. you have to compare ALL of their cars made, not just one model out of many.

overall, hyundai makes more reliable cars than chevy. that's a FACT.

lol
completely wrong. I'd take a japanese car over a hyundai any day. I really don't care for hyundai that much. I just find it funny that americans who own american cars are always criticizing korean cars when the fact remains that kia and hyundai make more reliable cars than any GM company. it really all comes down to patriotism. only americans like american cars, and they get mad any time criticizes them.

this is basically my car preference:
Japanese > European > Korean > American

I won't argue with the fact that Chevy makes unreliable/terrible cars. Still, this is irrelevant. We were discussing whether or not the Malibu this guy owns would be reliable. Earlier you said it wasn't, and now you are admitting you are wrong.
only americans like american cars, and they get mad any time criticizes them.
Of all the ridiculous things you could say...
I'm gonna concede regarding the reliability for the 2006 malibu. based on what I read, it does seem to be average in terms of reliability, which surprised me because chevy isn't known for that. I guess even a broken clock is right twice a day.
hopefully the car holds up considering that the maintenance wasn't kept up with
Holy butthurt batman

Hyundai has a history of having shitty korean cars. It was only 2003 and beyond where their quality standards really showed up, and I must agree, this model year, they are putting out an excellent line-up of cars.
However, you are making ridiculous blanket statements against a brand for seemingly no reason.
Both Hyundai and GM have drastically increased their quality standards for reliability in the past few years.

As I said before, blanket statements make you look like an uneducated idiot. My family owns 3 Chevrolets, and I drive one myself. My dad drives his Cobalt around town all day long moving from job-site to job-site. My mom only had her Impala break down once, so an executive at Chevrolet paid for her gas and Ferry and gave her a $500 gas card.
OP: Don't worry. Your Malibu should be fine, My dad picked me up a 1970 Chevy that had been sitting for 5 years... it still ran! And drives fine apart from some iffy brakes.

GM has been improving, but overall they're still behind hyundai in terms of quality and reliability
this discussion is going no where, so this will be my last post on it
I plan on owning an 88 GM car soon :(

You're like an american annoying dude I know. He constantly asks me if I still like my Jeep and if it hasn't broken down yet just because it's an old american car
And I do want to punch him in the face
several times
Tell him Jeeps are beautiful like me and that Cherokees are the best Jeeps ever
Then poop down his chimney
jesus christ i just want opinions on what needs to get done on my soon to be car and jdk seriously comes in here and starts this huge shit? That's both immature and absurd.
Your school charges for labour? Wow. Unless you're in a college or university, my high school did free automotive work. The parts were also hugely discounted.
idk for sure but i know that some kid i know got new brake lines, a new fuel pump, and a new fuel tank all put in his truck for 900 dollars. not sure what model truck it is, but its 90's i think
Is this what happens when uncle MGear is gone? You children need to stop arguing over who has the better Happy Meal toy.
Ah children these days.. What are we gonna do about them?
:v:
I'd say some slapping is a good place to start. Combine that with a timeout and I think we have a solution.
Bradley is in trouble for not eating all his dinner.
I'm too argumentative. I can't sit back silently when JDK starts spurting bullshit.

except that didn't occur. in fact, quite the opposite
you were the one that thought chevy made more reliable cars than hyundai/kia lol

If you can find one genuine quote that affirms this statement, I will eat my shoes.
What kind of shoe? Pumas taste nice, but things like Nike and Vans. Those taste bad, kinda like rubber.
