I've had leaden paralysis episodes while listening to Tool before
Goddamnit music section. How do we derail every single thread.
Dubstep gave me nightmares. Should never fall asleep with my iPod on.
are you high
Never taken a drug in my life. Never smoked a cigarette neither. It's probably me trying to artificially create the thrills from those. For example, Syd Barrett was an LSD addict and when I learned that I simply understood how to think when hearing his first album.
Deadmau5's 4x4=12 was a disappointment for me, he strayed from his trademark sound to experiment with trance and dubstep. He didn't really pull it off and has admitted that he hates it when people call 4x4=12 an album.
During the 70s, instead of doing drugs or whatever, Peter Gabriel did the crossword to pass the time.

nobody I know really likes it, but I do.

Pro [editline]19th February 2011[/editline] Probably has to be Morbid Visions by Sepultura. The band were about 15 at the time, the production was cheaper than a pack of cigarettes, they couldnt speak english abd could barely play on time. It's really a terrible album, but I like it.
But does enjoying it, necessarily mean you have to judge the music to be good? :smug:
What would you say makes music "good" then?
What would you say makes music "good" then?
I look at it Technically, Commercially, Artistically and expressively. [editline]19th February 2011[/editline] Doesn't have to be judged solely on how I enjoy the music.
That's probably more about hallucinations. But I see different styles as different happenings. When I heard "Echoes" one time, I felt a really amazing out of this world experience. Am I alone on this? :ohdear:
No, I picture the perfect movie scene for whatever I listen too
No, I picture the perfect movie scene for whatever I listen too
I usually do that with books. Music tells me how I should percieve what I can see. It's why it can be more effective than seeing a movie. Watching a movie will cause everyone who will be seeing it, to react in the same way.
Lots of people really hate this album. I like it though.

See? Music Videos almost always ruin the music.
I'm not sure what this thread is about really. Albums that most people don't like, but I do? Albums, I admit are pretty shitty but I like them anyway? Or are we talking about listening to an album, ironically.

Albums which are bad but you still enjoy how they sound
Take my original post. The album in question is awful, it is a disgraceful thing to have happened. The artist wasn't even involved in it. But I like it because it is humerously awful to listen to. I will never forget the album. See?
