Improv-A-Ganza was still really funny. Kathy was annoying at times but as a whole it was great.
Maybe not whose line great but it was good. Heather was great, the only other woman on the show.

Not exactly true.
A JPG header is located at the beginning of a file, and the JPG ends with an end-of-image marker. Anything that comes after the end-of-image is not part of the JPG and should not be processed in any way by a JPG decompressor.
ZIP, on the other hand, has a header at the end of the file, like many other archive formats - the purpose of this is to allow easily adding new files into the archive, as when you add a new file, the header may grow in size. It would be infeasible to place it at the beginning of the file, as then you'd have to move all the contents of the file forwards when the header grows in size.
So these two formats can coexist in the same stream if the stream has a fixed and known length. The ZIP reader starts reading from the end of the stream, and the JPG reader from the beginning. But there's no interaction between the two formats; they just ignore each other. You could abuse the same property with other formats such as PNG or BMP.
The image in question is just a plain GIF with the wrong file ending. Most programs shouldn't even use the file endings to determine the file type - they should confirm the format using the individual formats' signatures, which, for image files, are usually the first 4-8 bytes of the image file.
