any opinions on the full metal ICS Galil? a guy I know is willing to trade me his newish Galil for my old laptop and I'm not sure if it's a decent gun or not.
Ask him if you can try it.

Got a UKARA license?
[editline]2nd October 2013[/editline]
Is this a good first gun?

Or this?
http://www.patrolbase.co.uk/two-tone-airsoft/umarex-g36c-two-tone.htm
I really want to start ASAP and I have the cash for the first one but I want to know if it seems like a good starter. Yes I am aware of what being a shotgunner in airsoft would be like.
The shotgun is fine. All trishots are good and are produced in the same factory. Would avoid the g36, as it is OEM'd by S&T.

Why not rent airsoft stuff out for a few times then you can get registered and purchase airsoft guns that aren't florescent orange or blue?

Turnigy Accucell 6, Thunder AC6, and maybe a couple others.
and the IMAX B6, B6AC, B6AC+, Tenergy B6. They're all pretty much the same thing.
How absolutely necessary would it be to put a metal slide on a tm hicapa if I put a metal barrel in it? I'm still weighing my pistol options, and I could afford to get a tm hicapa, with a compensator compatible barrel, and a compensator, but not a metal slide immediately.
You should be fine for a while. HiCapa slides are pretty beefy
Guys my British loadout is almost complete. Now I just need to decide, L85 or L1A1/FAL?
L1A1 obviously.
Because the King Arms L1A1 is 500 bucks, I'm thinking I might buy the JG FAL. Then try to find a long-barrel kit and paint the stock and the grip with some sort of wood finish. Sound reasonable or am I totally off base?
Definitely more economical.
I'd highly recommend not doing that.
Aside from the L1A1 and FAL actually being different the JG/Echo1/ACM/AGM/ect. FALs suck. You wouldn't be able to do a faux wood finish on the stocks because afaik they come either rubberized or textured. Also they don't make one that's full sized. They only make carbines, which have handguards that are too short even if you could get the proper barrel extension and FH
Get dean plugs y/n? I hear the standard plugs are a bit prone to burning up in flames.
Get dean plugs y/n? I hear the standard plugs are a bit prone to burning up in flames.
Not really 'burning up', but they do offer sub-optimal conductivity and wear out over time. The main advantage to Deans is being able to buy batteries already wired to them, so you can buy cheap RC packs, rather than overpriced Tamiya-wired batteries marketed towards airsofters.
Alright I think I'm gonna go with the B6AC. I just ordered two 1200mAh 7.4V 20C 2S1P lipo's aswell, so I think I should be good. I hope.

Yeah I was aware that they offer less conductivity than Deans, but I'm just really cautious about the things I spend money on. I've already had it more than once that I buy something without researching it thoroughly. I figured it may be worth it in the long run to get deans right away.
Guy wants to trade an rg jpc for my sohpc. Good deal?
Guy wants to trade an rg jpc for my sohpc. Good deal?
I wouldn't, just because JPC's are tiny and the RG ones look weird and afaik there isnt much demand for them.
Well it is size medium and I have worn a mc one the same size. Idk I'm going to think about it more
Trying to make one of these since they're hard to find:

what could I use for the pouches in between the mag pouches and the general pouches?
kangaroo pouches? they only hold 1 pistol mag in addition and i'm not sure if they make them in any camo though
no. the pouches with the massive eyelets. I'm just going to get a triple shingle
oh whoops
misread ur post!
i still don't understand the point of those eyelets, especially the "SWAT" vests that are covered exclusively in eyelets
The ones on the SWAT vests are just a way of attaching pouches. The pouches have the other kind of eyelets on the back in a grid pattern and velcro so you can attach them. I'd show you what i mean, but all the pouches for my SWAT vest are buried under my bed somewhere and my camera sucks.
I think it's just a different way of doing loadbearing gear that just doesn't have a point now MOLLE and plate carriers are so common.
Whats the best place to buy cheap MOLLE gear like Condor (vest platforms, pouches)? I'm looking for Condor as it's in my price range and holds up very well to what I put it through(although any similiar trusted brands I would ofc be open to). ASGI seems overpriced and doesn't have the best stock.
Evike?

You can pick up used real steel kit on Ebay for about the same price as new Condor, and it'll be a billion times better.
Hi, I wonder if a replica exist of this plate carrier:

With the unique behind shoulder and under arm part. (2th picture middle)
Thank you!
I plan on getting a TM 4.3 hicapa from a friend. Any ideas on where to get a metal slide and a good holster for it?
