I don't know how I would hammer this thing [t]http://i.imgur.com/GKkBPxj.jpg[/t] [editline]25th October 2013[/editline] @
wd40/hammer
Are you trying to attach the rail or remove it? Also, on my revolver the rail had an allen screw or two in there, make sure those are loosened/removed.

railed revolver aaaaaaaahhhh :suicide:
Yeah sorry I just wanted to see what it looked like and I realised it looked like shit. I got it off with a screwdriver and a hammer but there is a shallow scratch on the side. How do I repair this? [editline]26th October 2013[/editline] I'm thinking of sandpaper but I'm just wondering if there is a better way
What kind of boots is the guy in the front wearing?
Can sombody ID the camo these guys are wearing? They are Italian Bersaglieri, if that helps any. [editline]27th October 2013[/editline] Never mind, found it. It's called "mimetico deserto"
So i have a shitty, cut up M14 barrel and i'm thinking of re-threading it for a suppressor and fitting it to my SOC16, to make something like this: Any recommendations for a big enough suppressor to do this with, and ways to make it not all wobbly? It's a standard M14 barrel that's been shortened so the barrel is only 2 and a quarter inches after the gas block, and it has the standard threading for an M14 flashhider on the end still, whatever that may be. I can lathe it down and put another thread on it if needs be.
I'm pretty sure M14 flash hiders are 14mm positive
Hmm... I wonder.... do I feel another pistol build coming on?
I'd love to see what kind of wizardry you could do on the basis of an IPSC Open Hicapa [editline]28th October 2013[/editline] just a recommendation/thought

IPSC guns are impractical outside of IPSC, and I already have 3 Hicapas. I've got something a bit more special lined up than that.
http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5561 buying one of these, what do I need to dial it back to a field acceptable FPS?, say 400 FPS or less. preferably less to make sure.

The Fps is around 400 or so out of the box, which is acceptable at my local fields, but you could probably putting an M100 or M110 spring would be preferable (Information in regards to spring came from a CYMA Cm048 review thread written by fellow IFAP member felix the cat, who still wont accept my FB friend requests btw ;~;) Just a word of warning though, the wood that comes on the gun DOES NOT look anything like the pictures. It is yellowish orange so you will obviously have to restain it and what not.

Luckily my dad's got all the stuff I'd ever need to restain it and whatnot.

Anyone here familiar with classics and maintenance/repair?
Depends what you count as a 'classic', really.
Sun Project and Escort systems? [editline]28th October 2013[/editline] In this case, at least.
Oh. Notrabies may know something about sun projects, but i'm not sure. I know somebody on here is at least a fan of them, but whether they know anything i have no idea.
hello, yes, sun projects you say?
Yeah, mine is being a twat. The recoil system functions fine, but the loading and firing is sporadic at best. With zero hop applied, a good third of the rounds fired zing off or roll out of the barrel (I'm assuming the rolling is due to the lack of hop). By 'zing off' I mean they curve twenty feet out of the barrel at a shocking right angle. Switching to a high cap seemed to alleviate some of these problems, but I don't and can't use high cap mags in game. It also tends to jam sometimes. I was thinking of shaving off a few millimeters of the loading shaft (I don't know what it's called, but it's the brass air nozzle sticking out the forward end of the bolt) to see if I could solve the inconsistent feeding, but I am hesitant to take such drastic measures since it should be fine. Looking at it again I really think it's just a poorly designed hop up unit (it's a brass AS4L design I think). There seems to be way too much space for the BB the bounce around. I run it at 150 or so PSI as that seems to be the sweet spot for trigger response and loading -- below 140, maybe half of the shots cycle the bolt far enough back to load another BB. I have tried a wide variety of BBs to no avail. My regular mid cap are TM 68 rounders with extended followers, but I have also tried MAG midcaps and CA high caps (the high cap feeding the best). I have sent it off to a classic tech to what seemed to be no avail, as it was returned to me firing much the same as it was when I sent it off. Is this thing doomed to become a wall hanger or is there something I'm missing?
From that it seems that most likely it's just a buggered hop up. If it's not that it might be the airshaft.
Is that G&G SR-25 still for sale?
No, ez mine now.
Friend of mine is giving me a trishot that he has that broke during our last game, it's not operationally bad, there's just a bolt in the stock that apparently broke, how hard of a fix is that?
Once you manage to get the broken bolt out, it's just a matter of finding a new one and screwing it in.
Where's the cheapest place to get a V2 toting SR25 with nice externals, regardless of the quality or condition of the internals
So you know, the SR25s that have V2s are the G&G, ARES, and Certain G&Ps. The JG/Echo 1 is V2.5 dimensions, but all V2 internals. http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/SR-25-Guide-t245076.html
Where's the cheapest place to get a V2 toting SR25 with nice externals, regardless of the quality or condition of the internals
You want the G&G. The G&P are extremely expensive, and the Ares are Ares.
