Zero-One has the WE P226 for £65 as a Christmas deal today, should I go for it? http://www.zerooneairsoft.com/product_info.php?products_id=7049
Where to get G36 parts of different varieties?

what are some good gear brands? What are some of the upgrades I should do to fit an 11.1 lipo in my AK (already found one that fits, just need to get internals ready)? edit: or heck, any lipo for that matter. Trying to boost the ROF of my gun a bit. Already gave it a bit by reshimming and regreasing everything
Where to get G36 parts of different varieties?
Evike has a decent selection [editline]2nd December 2013[/editline]
what are some good gear brands? I've been wanting to know this for a while as I've seen them before in pictures. Where could I get a buffer tube that fits an ak74 with a folding stock receiver?
snip
"hey how do i put a buffer tube on a folding '74" "buy this milled 47 receiver leoeoeeloeleoel"
snip
I've been googling for days and came to the conclusion that I'd either need a full stock reciever or custom job it. I was wanting one that bolts right up and wanted to see if you guys knew anything before I bought anything. This one has a folding stock reciver with a buffer tube on it.(note the button)
looking at KSKing my WE g39, but I'd like to know what barrel length is used here and finding that particular rail is a pain in the ass.

http://www.evike.com/products/30586/ [editline]3rd December 2013[/editline] looks like K length
might be K length, has to be something common because I see everyone and their mother with it. the rail isnt even close however. closest Evike has is 3 holes on top. the lack of a KSK rail is also irritating. current WEg39 has the G36e handguard and the future soldier rail which is similar but not the same as the KSK rail. barrel length is great for a GBBR though.
first off i'd like to apologize for my consistent misplacement of threads. i had looked for a official questions thread, but when i saw this one i only read "Charlies in the trees, what do I need to get rid of them?", and upon seeing it i thought "well i don't know what the hell that means but it's certainly not what i'm looking for" and continued being an idiot. i apologize again. but anyway, here we are. looking for some advice from some more experienced players. i was able to obtain a used gun for relatively cheap in order to start getting into airsoft. the exact gun can be viewed here- http://www.dropforyou.com/images/P/6359-600p.jpg or here http://www.airsoftmegastore.com/1081...-cb-18975.aspx. unfortunately, upon testing the gun, it's filled with problems. it is EXTREMELY loud, has a relatively low fire rate, the front ris clanks about as well as the stock, (which has a terrible habit of flaying the battery cables) and when fired on automatic is smells like there is something burning inside. if there are any experienced people out there who know how to upgrade properly, or have experienced this before, i would greatly appreciate it.
Sounds like a dying motor As for the loose externals, tighten all the screws you can find
Sounds like a dying motor As for the loose externals, tighten all the screws you can find
in terms of the motor, it's almost never been used but it's probably just shit. got a better motor that you would suggest? (the sound is a screech-popping noise) in terms of the externals, done and done, nothing has changed. sadface.
check motor height failing that, your pinion may be stripped

i remember your post, and i did check the motor height, but it seems to be in the correct place, and i have no idea what a pinion is. did you mean piston? in that case i'll try and take apart my gun to check. it'll take a while.

It's the gear on your motor.
He means the pinion gear. It's the gear on your motor.
so the easy way to go would be buy a new motor and pinion gear? any good suggestions for that?
As for the screech pop noise... You know that that is normal for an airsoft gun, right? Since you've got a shitty motor, its struggling to pull the spring, hence the screech, followed by the piston slamming forward, the pop. If you get a nicer motor, perhaps an Shs high torque, it will pull the spring faster and smoother, so the screech will be less so Also experiment with your motor height. Adjust it by full turns until you find an area that sounds good. Then adjust by half turns until it sounds best. [editline]3rd December 2013[/editline] I suggest looking up some basic airsoft gun maintenance guide online
It's likely the exact same gun I have. There's a screw at the bottom of the pistol grip, that is the motor adjustment screw. DO NOT TIGHTEN IT ALL THE WAY, it'll fuck your shit up. You pretty much have to tighten it by heart, unscrew it a bit, fire off a couple of shots, figure out when it sounds just right. If it's tightened too hard, that is the possible reason of all the scary sounds and low firing rate. On the other hand, don't expect these guns to have great out-of-the-box performance with the standard battery, it's always a 8,4 I think. As for the externals, well, you just have to deal with it. It's a cheap gun, these things are to be expected. There are ways of dealing with some things, there are none with another. Just figure out what you can do by yourself, fill some places with duct tape or anything, glue something up, tighten some screws.

Record the sound so we can hear it
Record the sound so we can hear it
i lack the recording equipment to do a good job, but i'll see what i can do.

Because if so that's just your typical Chinese grease job where they grease the fuck out of everything with what I can only assume is lard. My M16 made a bit of a burning bacon smell too.

Didn't come with mine. I got the boring old K length handguard. Now I have three different handguards for one g36 because JG couldn't put on rail screw holes in the original.

in the meantime, here's another quick question- will KWA M11A1 magazines (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5472 these ones) fit in Condor Outdoor MOLLE Dual Pistol Magazine Pouches (http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3529 these ones)
