is wd-40 pure silicone oil ok to use with aeg's?
Yes, it should be fine.
WD-40 is not pure silicone oil...
Correct, but he's not talking about the original WD-40. WD-40 is a corporation that produces a wide variety of solvents and lubricants. One of their specialist items is pure silicone spray.

They specifically market it as being safe for rubber, vinyl, and plastic.
Looking at boots and need a recommendation. I want something that's comfortable, waterproof, and good for rocky terrain.
I don't want Merrels. I don't want Solomans. I don't want a hiking shoe. I want a boot.
I was looking ast the Belleville 615 but I feel Sage Green wouldn't look good with DCU or Olive Green (IDf fatigues)
ayyyyee
you can never go wrong with bates
AFAIK there is one that you can buy off of some asian website, i forgot which but it lit up by the fiber optic thing on the top.

Having problems with my UTG Tri-Shot
When I have my stock extended to the fourth notch, and go to cock the shotgun, the stock moves immediately, and every time.
How can I fix this?
You need a long t-shaped allen key.

9/64 in. I believe
Alright so I'll be getting this M16
Trying to decide on what rail I want for it...
for Daniel Defense

for SWS

for Spikes tactical

These are all the Madbull versions and they are all $115 just trying to figure out what would look better with an ACOG on top and these
Also I need some recommendations for rail covers that will fit a 12 inch rail, preferably some that can be cut down to size.
I personally really like the full sized KAC ones. They don't cover the whole rail but imo they look cool and will protect your hands just fine
They do look quite nice and I could always grab a few, they're a bit pricey though..
Should get some nice Troy rail covers
They look tastier and cleaner imo than the KAC ones
Less of a USGI look to them tho
I was always thought the magpul ladder ones looked really nice and clean.

Sorry for not being clear, but it's not that it's wobbly, but more that the stock collapses when cocking the shotgun on the fourth notch

sorry do you mean the stock contracts after the fourth notch by itself?
I just got one of those springs for an aeg that has the variable coil density and I was wondering which side goes in piston? it an M90

The side which ISN'T tightly coiled is the side which goes in the piston.

Remember, you're going to have to remove that FSB. So depending on how it's attached, you may have to punch/drill the pins or possibly cut it, depending if the muzzle is pinned.
Also, I think quad rails in general look silly. They are overpriced, heavy, and generally not needed unless you're mounting a tactical toaster.
Friend of mine has a Double Eagle UMP, and he was saying that when he holds it straight down and fires on Auto, instead of BBs actually shooting out, they kinda just fall out. it only happens on Auto and shooting straight down. opinions on what it may be? We ruled out the hop-up through trial.

VFC's aren't pinned, and even if they we're I've undone pins. Also if anyone wants to point me to a rail that isn't a quad that I can throw some side rails on, lead the way. I'm open to ideas

Ok thank you very much.

Just stick with the rail you linked
How much of a pain would it be to;
Give a GBB pistol a real steal finish, I want to give a pistol a nice satin black look. Secondly how could I get a GBB outer barrel compensated to look like this;
a dremel would work. I dont know what real steal looks like though. I guess nothing since it would be stolen.
Obviously it was a idiom for a finish that is spectacularly cheap for the quality.
If the slide is steel, it can be blued. If not, cerakote would be your next best bet. Really depends on what firearm's finish you're trying to reproduce.
Satin black's actually what I've been working on with paintwork.

The picture really picks up the shine to emphasize the contrast, but I got a satin black tone for the slide that's very close to the real thing.
The technique is something any airsofter can replicate. I know this is weird, but give it a try- spray with a very matte black, I used Rustoleum barbecue paint, and let it dry. Then, spray it with silicone oil, take a rag, and buff the silicone oil into the paint.
Then give it a few days, preferably a week, to fully dry. The barbecue paint is nearly indestructible once dried, and the oil worked into the paint glosses up the finish.
You can replicate the dull gunmetal grey tone of the frame by spraying black, then rubbing graphite (pencil lead) into sandpaper over it and buffing the graphite in. Then either spray with matte varnish for a polymer look (as above), or buff to a shine for a metallic look (as on my Highlander).

Do I need this piece? It came out of my ak's selector switch. When i put it in, the screw won't go in.
It works fine without it
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
scratch that, the selector switch just falls off
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
So I have been trying to fix it for the pat hour, and basically I can put the screw in, turn it for 10 minutes, pick up the gun and it will fall off.
I found out the hole where the screw goes into the gearbox shell is stripped :(
glue er in?
glue er in?
Then I can't take out my gb?
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
Wait glue what in?
glue the screw in. if you need to take it out, unscrew and break the glue
[editline]13th December 2013[/editline]
hey that rhymes
fucking doctor seuss or something over here
I tried gluing it, it didn't work. I found out only the very first few threads were stripped, but the rest are fine. I'm gonna get a longer screw then it should stay in.
What's everyone's opinion on seeing an impression with simunition marked weapons?
specifically the G36 and the USP.
You can see both here and many other photos.

close up of the bolt marking.

I'd be using them on gas operated guns and the sound is (to me) surprisingly close.
G36 is heard here. skip to 0:27

I like the idea and will probably go through with it anyway but Im wanting to know how everyone else views it.
