Hey guys, compression plays a role in your guns velocity too, right? I chrono'd my CM048(that I've been using for a while now) with .25s and an M100 spring expecting it to be well under 350 FPS. Well, it's shooting from 370-385 currently, which I assume is well over 400 FPS with .20s. My Combat Machine is significantly less than this, and I believe it also has an M100 in it. Any idea what's up with this, is it better compression or does my Combat Machine have a weaker spring?
either you have really really reaaaallly good compression (but apparently not good consistency, since your fps has a range of 15????) or you don't actually have an m100 installed
I installed only two aftermarket parts in the gun, a Lancer Tactical M100 spring and a Raptors Tactical V3 Spring Guide. I also lubed the gears and piston as directed with greases I got from HGA's tech. I did have to bring the gun in for them to reassemble at one point, but I highly doubt they swapped my M100 for something stronger while it was in there. So, maybe the problem could be Lancer Tactical's quality control? Maybe they put the wrong spring in the packaging? I'll definitely be sticking to the Combat Machine for CQB now, but I'm kind of happy to know my AK is shooting a little hotter as I originally intended it for field use. Though, I still feel like an asshole for having used it in CQB for so long without bothering to chrono as I assumed it would shoot under 350. New theory! HGA might just have a shitty chrono, which is why they never ask to chrono guns anymore? (unless someone complains and claims someone's gun is shooting too hot, or someone like myself is genuinely interested in what their velocity is.)
however shitty your field's chrono is, it's definitely not as shitty as my field's chronoed my friend's 385-400ish m4 at a whole 143 fps
My field only chronos polarstars. So many people run them that they just figure that aegs won't be a problem.
Hey guys. Another quick silly question for you. On the we limited edition 4.3 (this gun http://www.evike.com/products/33061/) which magazines does it take? I've found three that are listed but they've got different capacities and gas reservoirs and stuff like that. I don't want to buy a magazine I can't use.

I need some assistance from all you experienced Milsim guys. What are some essentials for a 12 hour outdoor game that are often overlooked? And how do you usually prepare for such an event?
I have nowhere to mount my IFAP patches on my H-Harness/Battle belt rig. Where would be the opportune place to stick some velcro? On the H-Harness shoulder straps? Anyone done something like this before?
I need some assistance from all you experienced Milsim guys. What are some essentials for a 12 hour outdoor game that are often overlooked? And how do you usually prepare for such an event?
the events I go to allow me to reload on the field at respawn points for this I take a speedloader, fill it, then dump the bbs inside it into a plastic bag and tape it down to be the size of the bbs inside it so they dont rattle. this way I can take out the speedloader, rip off the tape, and pour the bbs into the speedloader knowing it will fill it up all the way and I can store the bag to throw away later without creating a lot of extra trash or anything else I need to carry. I take a lot of water. a lot of water. more water and some water just in case I get low on water. an extra pair of socks. always. something small to eat, protein bars/fiber bars. something is better than nothing.
Did the PMC leader from Hurt Locker have an under folder or romanian side folder stock on his AK?

Here's a question. I just bought some Drifire M81 combat pants (old camo on modern combat pants swag) and they have those built in kneepads. When I stand, the kneepads sit at my shins. When I crouch, they're about under my knees and they fit everywhere else (except for a little long at the heels). Is this normal for pants with built in kneepads (specifically for Drifire combat pants) or are mine too long. I ordered them in med-long because it was all I could find. Here's a picture of the fit for reference.
You'd probably be best off with a med-reg, they look too long on you and you have them at the proper height.
well, where is the kneepad when you crouch? tahts all that really matters.
The kneepad pretty much sits at my knee when I'm crouching so it works fine. I'm just wondering if I'll look like a moron with these on.
No, in that case. As long as your kneepad remains on your knee whilst kneeling or crawling, you're g2g
picked up a china PCU for $20 today, how do i make it looks less green
Wash it a few times and leave it out in the sun to run out the dye color?
What's a good stock and battery for this old GR-16? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71368030/Airsoft/IMG_0916.JPG[/t]
What's a good stock and battery for this old GR-16? [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/71368030/Airsoft/IMG_0916.JPG[/t]
You can get just about any stock that'll fit on it and it'll do the same thing, for batteries just pick up a decent (Like, Matrix Brand) 8.4 or 9.6 Nunchuck style and it'll fit in the front grip. or go for a 7.4 Lipo Batt: http://www.evike.com/products/24483/ Stock options: http://www.evike.com/index.php?cPath=28_25_113_541
Go Lipo and never turn back.
Found a stock, but do I still need to get a swing swivel to mount on it to use my one point sling? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=16389
Go Lipo and never turn back.
what if I explode?
A couple of these and a crane stock will do nicely. http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=44080

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=16389 what if I explode?
can you match up some numbers on a screen with the numbers on your battery? if you can do that, you wont explode. if you have an 1800 mah 11.1v battery, you set the charger to 1.8 amps and 11.1v. its that simple.
I'd start with 7.4v.
I've been using this really cheap Echo 1 rebranded balancing charger for all my 11.1s. (that so far has been performing flawlessly) And I don't have a Lipo sack or Lipo alarm, am I doing it wrong?
