everyone will say something different because they have their favorites. colt is good. I prefer spiketac LMT BCM and rainier arms.
I was 5 minutes from buying an LMT AR and my parents told me I couldn't keep an assault rifle at their house. Fuck.
Are the upper handguards on a aks74u the same size as a normal ak-74 upper handguard? I want to get one of those vented upper handguards like gren eygs n ham had.
I made mine myself out of a sheet of aluminium that had holes pre-cut into it and then painted it black.
If its the CYMA one then you don't want a stronger spring because it probably already shoots a bazillion fps anyway
It shoots almost 300 fps, so it could use a little boost. [editline]16th January 2014[/editline] I also want to replace the inner barrel with a longer one(to make it a marksman like rifle). Do I just put in a longer barrel which sticks out and then place silencer over that? Ty in advance.

Ty in advance.
If you're doing a DMR build, check the maximum allowed FPS at fields you play at and go from there. Go for a stronger spring, for my field I use an M130 in order to comply with FPS limitations. You will also probably want to upgrade your motor, piston, and internal barrel.
And not a single mention of hopup was made... there are plenty of guides for making an airsoft DMR out there, just google it
I'd like to know about the VFC/E1 XCR. Is the E1 rebrand still VFC, and does anyone else make ones that are better than the E1/VFC version? Is there a longer barreled version available anywhere? Is it actually any good?
And not a single mention of hopup was made...
Good point, my bad I wasn't even thinking of that.

I think i'll keep an eye out for a VFC long barreled version then, thanks.
XCR RDC has a long barrel and buffer tube
I'd prefer one without the M4 stock but with a long barrel if possible, but i might have to settle for the short barrel.
Buy a barrel extension
It's the whole gas system on the longer one that's extended too though, not just the barrel. I've never been a fan of the shorter barrel ones but they seem to be the only ones with the non-shitty stock. I'm basically aiming for this: [t]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9988278/ports/NT_2013/zr68_old_u.jpg[/t] I'm already going to have a PEQ box for the battery i don't want if i buy one at all so I'd prefer for everything else to be right.
it has a proprietary split gearbox (apparently somewhat compatible with the 417) that afaik takes standard parts but limits the pistol grip to basically the one that comes with the gun which is hella stupid also, medium motor [editline]16th January 2014[/editline] lonex motors require a bit of modification to fit in the gun [editline]16th January 2014[/editline] also it has like negative battery space if you choose not to use a crane or peq [editline]16th January 2014[/editline] i can confirm it can survive being fallen on by a 180 pound spelling bee champion i would post the video but my friend lost it

I kind of like that stock, actually. I might consider that combination, but I doubt I'll order from evike because england and shipping from the US to UK is like a million dollars.
The fps is limited to 360 where I live, I just want te looks. :P
Oh, then you'll only need an M100 which will put you at 330-350 or an M110 which will put you at 350-380 and if the M110 is leaning more towards the 380 side, just chop off a link or two of the spring. If you do go down that route, here's a good tutorial video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8nYDo8gXeU That's the cheapest route to get to that FPS in my opinion, which is nice because you'll probably need to fork out some cash for the external body parts of a DMR look.
I was offered a KWA MP7 with two spare 40 round mags for 250$. Is this a good price? How's the quality on the gun? I'd like a gas primary, but part of me would rather purchase another AEG.
I may or may not have fucked up my KWA G17 while disassembling it to paint the frame. I was taking the trigger return spring off its hinge, when my tweezers slipped and stretched the spring. It feels quite a bit looser than before, but I haven't reassembled and tested the gun yet. Just in case this becomes a problem, how do I tighten the spring? If I can't, where do I get a new one? Thanks in advance.
I'd check on Airsoft Atlanta. They tend to stock a lot of small parts like that.

They're built pretty well but from previous experience, if something breaks in the gun itself and you can't fix it yourself and need to send it back to KWA, you should expect a long wait to get it back.

I miss mine so badly, but once I get that TM(like I planned to) I'm sure all will be right with the world. But yea definitely go for it, great gun at an awesome price
I got my KWA K120 midcaps but now the problem is that they won't snap into place. When I push it into the magwell, it just clicks, but doesn't stay inside the gun. What can I do to fix it? For reference, I have one of the new Airsoft GI FMG4s.
Might be your mag release catch isn't long enough to fully engage the slot on the mag. You could try replacing it with an aftermarket one. If it's not that, the slot could just be in the wrong place for the catch. Could possibly be solved with filing, but I dunno, every kind of mag is different.
I had the same problem with PMAGs in my Cyma CQB-R, I extended my mag catch with jb weld.
I'm not sure how to do that. I tried wrapping electrical tape around it and while it fit better, it still didn't lock into place, so I guess it's the thing you guys were saying. Is it an easy fix and would a typical airsoft repair guy at a field be able to do it?
Extremely easy. Anyone can do it.
