Ya know when you see people's impression kits with bolt cutters? Is there a specific set of bolt cutters that the military (SOF units specifically) would use, or do they just use any old pair?
I don't think tools matter for an impression. If you need more info on impressions you're better off asking people on devtsix than here. Just out of curiosity what impression are you going for?
you're better off asking people on devtsix than here
Yeah, I figured. Just thought I'd ask anyways. Got an answer elsewhere though.
Just out of curiosity what impression are you going for?
Working on a MARSOC impression. Got most of the big stuff out of the way but I'm missing a lot and can't work on it until I'm back from college.
shim (obviously) teflon tape (or even better, gasket maker) seal the cylinder head to the cylinder
wipe the grease off, all of it as long as the oring isn't literally falling off, keep it, although you could get a #14 o-ring from mcmasterrace or a hardware store to better compression
Will 5.56 magpuls work for AUG mags?
This image tells me "just barely"
What was that one PC that Marines used that was Flyye or similar to Flyye? [editline]9th February 2014[/editline] nevermind, its the FAPC gen 1 I am having this huge battle whether or not Marines used Flyye or Diamondback
Seeing as how Diamondback came up with the FAPC, I'd assume it was them. I don't know how they'd be getting their hands on non-mainstream Asian gear.
Well its kinda hard to prove its either or, because FAPC gen 1s have been discontinued IIRC [editline]9th February 2014[/editline] I could ask a SRT guy
I generally couldn't imagine a single scenario in which a soldier would purchase or be issued anything Flyye, while DBT gear I'm sure has seen plenty of action. I don't know why it matters, frankly. I think the FAPC is an average vest at best.
Some soldiers were donated conderp MOPC in multicum because they werent getting enough SPC or OTVs and they complained about what was being issued. Pretty sure there was post and a picture about it in military photos page FAPC gen 1s are used by SRT in the Marines pretty sure there was a post about that too in loadout v2
marines wearing condurr? this i gotta see
marines wearing condurr? this i gotta see
no, at least not to my knowledge, I am only aware of the army using it not the marine corps I just apologized and see if I can find an SRT guy and ask about their current equipment and plate carriers [editline]9th February 2014[/editline] but I/G is pretty anal about knowledge, and then they proceeded to call me a boot
oh right soldiers not marines

Condor gear is primarily marketed to mall commandos and airsofters, and is well beyond widely available in the US, much like other similar brands like "Voodoo" and what have you. It's everywhere here. Flyye gear is comparatively much harder to find new, and not much easier to find used.

a bit too big methinks

I genuinely cannot fathom how you could be even the least bit interested in this, nor how you would consider Flyye a serious option. Seriously. [t]http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/4690/051019m8084p013ru0.jpg[/t] That's not Flyye. Either way, good luck to you with this strange obsession. [editline]10th February 2014[/editline] I'm out lol

Random question If I get a uniform in XXL or something, would a tailor be able to cinch it down to a M or so at least it fits an M so it's not baggy like a motherfucker?
Tailors can do a lot - not sure if they can do that - but if you could find a tailor who could do it it would probably be hella expensive.
As long as it's not $150+, I'm more than willing to go to a tailor as long as it's 100% certain they can perform a feat like that Now, another question, do you think they'll be able to work with weird material like polyester, or microfleece, or other weird fabric?
http://www.evike.com/shop/28_24_71/502 Will any of these fit into my Galaxy MP5K?
The Echo 1 one should.
Why exactly would you want to replace the stock hopup anyways? The Galaxy one is what you want.
Why exactly would you want to replace the stock hopup anyways? The Galaxy one is what you want.
because I'm having feeding issues and I think the Hopup might be to blame.
because I'm having feeding issues and I think the Hopup might be to blame.
Seems very unlikely to be the hop up itself, its more likely to be the magazine or the bucking. Have you taken your barrel out lately and checked the alignment/condition of the bucking? What magazines are you using? If you're using hicaps be aware that MP5 hicaps are the shittiest things to ever be manufactured by human hands.

I have not taken the barrel out, but I'll try to. never really opened up a gun before. and I guess this one, being the cheapest one I own, is the best candidate for the job.

Also if you haven't broken in your magazines yet you might need to do that.
