awhile back I posted that I had just got a king arms ultra M4 and I down graded the spring but it stopped firing. I know that the piston is still cycling, I don't think it has anything to do with the gearbox. when ever I load a magazine in to fire the bb's don't seem to feed into the barrel could I have messed up the placement of the bucking, would that stop my bb's from feeding? I hope to take it to a tech soon but I don't want to if I don't have to.
air nozzle you probably forgot the tappet plate spring
How much would a cheapish starter kit set me back?
How much would a cheapish starter kit set me back?
well you could get a trishot for about $45, add in a pair of decent eyepro for about $15, and some cargo pants at walmart for $10 and be skirmishable at $70. Higher than that would be a decent aeg between $110 and $150, and then building a belt rig which should be around $50 to start. Even higher budget puts you with the same range of guns, but a bit more gear. Maybe a plate carrier with a full set of pouches, and a decent set of bdus. [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] This is the basic idea of a starter belt rig if it helps you out:
Does anyone here have problem gassing up mags? Every time I gas up my Tanaka mags, it feels like all the gas just doesn't go in and instead just wastes itself by not even filling up I've been meaning to invest in a propane adapter: do plastic propane nozzles fill better than standard metal green gas nozzles?
Get the metal Madbull nozzle. the plastic one broke on me almost immediately.
Same here.
I buy green gas bottles with plastic nozzles. They are so much better than metal ones.
I put my gas mags in the freezer for 5 minutes then fill them up and let them warm back up before I use them. That usually lets a lot more gas into the mag.
The reason why I want to move away from green gas is 'cause the way my rifle works, it appears to take in too much silicone oil (possibly the mags are too small) and it shits silicone all over the internal mechanism and makes the hopup slippery as fuck [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] This might come as an odd question but would it be detrimental to not use any silicone when gassing up a bolt action rifle with propane? I ask this 'cause I figure the rifle is supposed to use HFC134a which has no lubricant to begin with Would it be logical to just use propane with no silicone? (Obviously I would apply silicone to important parts when maintaining the rifle) or would that be a bad idea?
Any comments on this stuff? How are Condor and Gryffon things, quality-wise?
Condor falls under the category for me of "good enough". You won't get a straight answer here since there's developed a somewhat small group of people that run lots of real gear. I ran condor for years and I've had very few pieces actually fail on me, but a lot more fraying and fading and such, plus condor gear smells like really cheap plasticy nylon. [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] Gryffon however, I would, PERSONALLY avoid.
For general airsofting? Condor holds up fine but sometimes the design of some of their items is poorly thought out so it sits funny despite being properly adjusted, but otherwise, it's goodtogo Also reel geer elitists going, "lol conderp"
Kill, get a plastic nozzle. In many ways they are actually more durable than a metal one(if you drop a propane tank on the ground nozzle first, the nozzle is gonna break no matter what it's made of, but since plastic will more readily bend than metal, it can survive smaller stresses). Plus there's the issue of cooldown, the fact that metal nozzles will slowly destroy o-rings over time, and other factors I can't remember off the top of my head
True, I would much rather replace a readily available nozzle than something irreplacable like my wonky Tanaka o-ring thingies or expensive mags
I'd say that you're probably okay using propane with no silicone as long as you lube the seals on the magazine and in the gun, since that's what the silicone in the green gas is meant to lubricate in the first place. Obviously along with the other parts, as you mentioned.

Obviously along with the other parts, as you mentioned.
Yeah, green gas kinda just shits silicone everywhere almost like if I had a gbb upside-down except I'm firing it normally on my Tanaka and that's a no-go in terms of gun performance 'cause it make my hopup slippery Also the magazine seals are made of metal :v: [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] So teach me into propane and propane accessories IFAP where would I get them propanes? Which plaaastic nozzles are goodtogo?
propane you can just get at Walmart, as far as the adapter I'm very partial to the AI one
I'm generally used to those giant propane cans used for barbequeses Obviously that's something I wouldn't use so what do them propane canisters look like? Also would the adapter fit on generally all propane canisters?
Also the magazine seals are made of metal :v:
There should be an o-ring on the fill valve and another on the inside of the release valve though, if it works like the mags on my Tanaka (and every other gas mag I've used). Those o-rings are what the silicone in the green gas is meant to keep lubricated, so as long as you drip some silicone into those every so often, you should be fine.
where would I get them propanes?
Walmart sells cans for cheap methinks. [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] Adapter will fit on any can that looks like this. Usually they're used for camp stoves, lights, small blowtorches, shit like that.
Thanks mang! Time for me to get some propanes
I got a two pack at walmart for $4.88 [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] Of propane.
It's fun to read this page in Hank Hill's voice.
-- Nevermind, settled on a BFG 10 speed. The ProWin Hopup for M4/M16s will work with a HK417 correct?
What loadout could you even use an AR15A2 for?
US loadouts from ~1980 - 2003
Israeli loadouts
IRA
Wait what the US used the AR15A2? I thought we just used the M16A2.... [editline]25th February 2014[/editline] Also, how are the G&D systema clones?
They're the same thing
