I'm thinking about opening up my TM P90 gearbox. AFAIK its never been opened but considering the previous owner god knows what happened to it. I'm wondering if opening it up, shimming and regressing and airseal modding will ruin the ~TM magic fairy dust~. Also if anyone has some general tips and heads-up that would be useful.
as long as you are competent and able to put things back correctly, it shouldnt fuck it up.
On the combat pants discussion, I use Drifires. They have built in kneepads (internal, not external). Anyway, they're real-steel (I guess that's the term for gear) and used by MARSOC, but they run like half the price of Cryes.
What sort of camouflage do VDV units use? Specifically, mid 80's. I think I have an idea, but I don't know what it's called or where I can get it.

KLMK (technically an oversuit cut, but it's also used to refer to the pattern)

Could i pull something like this off with a full stock, or does it need to be a sidefolder to be VDV/USSR Cool Guys?
Echo 1 M28 or Snow Wolf m24?

needs to be sidefolder
Echo 1 M28 or Snow Wolf m24?
same thing
So I'm stuck with M69/M88 with SSH40/SSH68 and the Y harness?
[editline]25th March 2014[/editline]
as far as afghan goes, that is.
same thing
I figured, but the description said otherwise
you might be able to pull off some kinda spetsnaz with the full stock, you'd just need reference pics which i don't have
they'll let you into eastwind with a full stock, but in general the s is much more versatile
Yeah, I've realized the versatility of the sidefolder. Can do from 80s all the way to modern with a swap of the handguards.

How wrong is it to get a Czech M52 with a fabric strap instead of an SSH40? it seems like the only difference between them thats not on the inside is some small rivets.
same thing
afaik they take different magazines?

They look pretty similar to me. You could probably get away with it. Its not like you're going to east wind and need 100% authentic kit
Got a question for you guys.
Im looking into getting some emerson gen 3 combat pants in atacs-fg..
Im interested in them because im sick of bruised knees, and cant stand my kneepads constantly sliding down.
Has anyone had experience with these pants, and if so, would you recommend them?
Considering i live in socal, would atacs-fg be effective enough to not stick out like a sore thumb?
I JUST bought emerson aor2 last week, seems good to go but i am a little scared of a couple loose threads.
Looking to get one of those CYMA AIMS with donkey dong for extra fun when it gets lonely on a 24 hour OP. Can the standard blowback be disabled with relative ease, or can I find another AIMS that doesn't already have blowback? Thanks fellas.

trust me as someone who has gone down this road, shit is literally milimiters difference.
my CA M24 mags look exactly like that but guess what, I can't buy a snow wolf or echo 1 mag and stick it in there.
Does anyone know how to get the muzzle break off a CM048 AK-74?
I managed to remove a pin that held it in place, now it rotates a little in the counter clockwise direction and stops (indicating clockwise threading?).
I just think it would look really cool with a PBS-1 suppressor.
VSR, KLMK, and M88 are all g2g First Chechen Conflict, correct? And also the Czech M52 question: is it that bad to substitute one for an SSH40? The one i can get has a fabric chin strap, so it should be externally the same aside from the small rivets, correct?
How do I make my gas mags not leak? Also, why are they only filling up like a fifth of the way with a new can of green gas?
How do I make my gas mags not leak? Also, why are they only filling up like a fifth of the way with a new can of green gas?
Teflon tape, pure silicon oil, and tightened screws. Not filling could be the temperature, idk about that one.
Been soaking the valves in oil. You mean teflon around the threads on the valves?
Yes. You can pretty much put teflon everywhere. I don't think theres a downside to too much.
Hm, alright, I'll give that a go. My fucking G19 was spraying all the gas back out the fill valve as soon as I got it full the other night too. So fucking buttmaddening.

if it was leaking from the threads, its fixable, but if the actual valve was leaking, you may need a replacement.

Also, how do you guys carry airsoft 40mms? I usually have a Chicom so I cant use any molle options. Probably something like a bandolier or a pouch that goes on the shoulder
How about this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USGI-M79-40mm-BANDOLIER-6-POCKET-POUCH-VIETNAM-UNMARKED-BANDOLEER-USA-AIRSOFT-/390806009557?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_2&hash=item5afdda76d5
It's cheap, made for 40mm, and if your chicom is OD itll match it pretty well, both in era (ish) and color.
What kind of kneepad is this?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/PFfdgIl.jpg[/t]
I don't particularly like the narrow elastic band type of straps like on my Faketeryx since they dig in, these look pretty comfy.
I may be mistaken but that design is just extra fabric underneath the conventional strap, which if anything is going to make your knee-pits into disgusting, sweltering cesspools at odds for a miniscule increase in comfort. Frankly I'm under the impression that all kneepads (possibly excluding the Crye integrated design) are inherently in uncomfortable and the reason that you so often see only one knee pad, a reason for the popularity of the Crye pad design.
biscuit what are you even saying go to bed
