And take some sandpaper to an inconspicuous part of the barrel just to be sure it's really not just some super weird metal.
It's a really nice gun apart from that. Maybe there's a reason for it being plastic, but it still feels kinda cheap. So far finding a metal barrel for the Match has been a pain
all current production kwa gbbps (except for the atp for some reason) have plastic outers
they say it's because plastic is more reliable and easier to lubricate but i think we all know it's because cutting corners
The RA-Tech for the KSC brand gun should work with the KWA ones right? I found it here
its also like 1/3 the price of the gun

if you can justify buying it

just spray paint the orange tip

hell, i sharpied my USP orange tip and it was fine as long as you didnt get too close

It's actually because it causes less damage to the part of the slide where the barrel goes through as well as plastic causes less friction on metal.
I really can't justify paying that much for just a part of it. I have some matte black spray paint around here somewhere. At least it's mostly hidden right in the front
I just sanded it off on my CZ.
Since the barrel is pretty much flush with the front of the slide on the CZ75, I just completely removed the section of the outer barrel past the slide. IDK if this is the case with the USP, but it's something to consider
I sharpied mine and unless you look close enough or already know that its sharpied you really wouldn't notice it.
I painted over the threads on my USP, no big deal really.
I painted over the orange tip on all my guns
i don't have barrel plugs or barrel condoms :C
The flat paint nearly matches the color of the barrel. if it weren't for my bad spraypaint job it would look like it wasn't ever painted orange. But of course my dumb self used something made of cotton to keep paint from getting inside the outer barrel and now it looks like there are super tiny cobwebs inside :suicide:
anyone know where I can buy some new wiring and a fuse?

Home Depot or Lowe's will do the trick.
I sawed and filed the orange tip off of my KWA USP, you can do the same easily.

Except it doesn't because the (harder) aluminum slide eats away at the plastic barrel at a much faster rate than it would with an aluminum/aluminum setup

That's not entirely true, as some pistol designs don't have the barrel interface with the slide very much. I believe Hicapa's do fine with a plastic barrel.

USPs have a glock-like barrel lockup though. It's very hard on the barrel. Also taking into consideration that 1911 chambers are much more robust
That may be true, then. But my CZ however does not, which is where I made my basis. Although saying the sole reason for the plastic barrel is due to cutting corners is simply untrue.
It looks a bit better than I thought it would, apart from the touchup bits.

Ender got it, and IIRC, he disliked it.

I got the impression he liked it???
I got the impression he liked it???
maybe it was specifically the NPAS kit or something that he disliked. I really thought it was negative.
Is the Cybergun M1A1 thompson any good? I might pick a brand new one up for $80 from some kid, and I want to know if it will keep working.
maybe it was specifically the NPAS kit or something that he disliked. I really thought it was negative.
It didn't suit his playstyle, and the gun itself shot too hot. When he tried to install the NPAS kit, it became inconsistent, and he didn't like that either. In the end, he just left it and didn't use it, so he traded it for an RPK and a Tavor.
I got myself a new MICH helmet, but the straps suck. Any idea where I can get some good economical straps to replace them with that don't fall off immediately?

Ops-Core H-Nape.
Shame how expensive they are.
