The Official Questions Thread Version: "Charlies in the trees, what do I need to get rid of them?"

I don't know if it is before or after ares. Is it really that bad? I've heard a lot of upgrading needs to go into it to make it decent.
guys help I untied my MS2 sling what do
[t]http://i.imgur.com/UCNaG4j.jpg[/t]
I think your best bet is to carefully study a picture of your sling or look for a tutorial. It's bit hard to walk you through it.
wait though, is this an Ares/STAR or a pre-Ares STAR? because pre-Ares STAR stuff is actually p. good. ex. STAR FNC, dat 3rb
In my experience that FNC is the ONLY good STAR product, and I would still call that hit and miss. The only ancient manufacturers I trust are Maruzen and Marui. Maruzen is on a case by case basis, but they've hit a couple grand slams, and Maruis are pretty much untouched by time, and there's such high QC and durability that I feel pretty comfortable with them.
Alright, thank you guys. You've been really helpful. I'll grab the 2 tone VFC. Probably wouldnt have used the GL anyways.
Why is THIS 9 USD...

TMC looks like it has better materials and attention to detail, just look at the grips compared to the CYMA ones.
Lol, they definitely don't look the same if you compare them for more than 3 seconds. The knives are almost completely different.

This pivot mount will snap into place, right? I've bought a magnifier for my EOTech replica but the store I got it at didn't have PTS mounts in stock.
If anyone knows a nice European store with these mounts in stock please shoot me a pm because I'm going to play again at 10 may and I'm hoping I can get a PTS mount before then
What is a good holster for the Tokyo Marui HICAPA 5.1R?
Budget? Nothing too extreme.

Safariland or Serpa 1911 holster with a little modification. http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=102790
[editline]not a crossdraw[/editline]
Is there a US source for a vest like this? I really like the aesthetics.

buy surplus off ebay or at a local milsurp
snip, totally misread the post
buy surplus off ebay or at a local milsurp
Already tried ebay, zero results. Local milsurp doesn't exist here.
I'm not talking about a generic molle vest like

My question was if a vest existed with similar aesthetics (velcro row up top, zipper front, snap instead of buckle, hydro/comm guide loops/d ring on shoulder straps instead of straight plain flat).
To be honest, I actually don't like zipper front. My friend had one of those starter vests no MOLLE real estate, just comes with pouches and a generic pistol holster zipper shot out. Maybe it's getting old, maybe people in speedsoft are better shots, I don't personally know. But I would not recommend a zipper front vest. I personally would go for the one I use personally, a MBSS plate carrier. It breathes a lot better than traditional cummerbund based systems. But it lacks the side cummerbund MOLLE if you were to use it for utility pouch or what not. Off games sake, it is really easy to take off as it is only secured with UTX buckles. Those bad boys had been shot at and didn't fail me yet. TL;DR, zippers got shot out from my friend's experience and a MBSS plate carrier is not a bad choice.
MBSS Plate Carriers vary from brand to brand in terms of quality, the follow vest is a picture of the exact one I run. I regret not going for something like PANTAC. But heck, it was my first airsoft vest, and it hasn't failed me so far.

The teeth got shot out, people are that accurate these days.
The teeth got shot out, people are that accurate these days.
Huh maybe if they were plastic. Wouldn't think metal teeth could be shot out by a bb (at a reasonable fps/range).
I'm probably just going to get a jpc repro anyways.
I feel like upgrading to a JPC Repro, thoughts?

I feel like the biggest factor of deciding what load bearing gear to get is your own build. Like how big you are, your proportions, etc. I personally don't find JPCs very comfortable but that's just me. Obligatory 6094a recommendation
Obligatory 6094a recommendation
I wish there was a good sub-$100 6094 repro like the jpc though.

I read on I/G that TMC's stitching has gotten better in recent years, maybe if you can source a newer one of those replicas in not multicam (cause their mc repro isn't very good) you could be ok?
I had no problems with my TMC 6094A when I had it. I believe it's now in the hands of either apache or cataclysmic, so maybe they can chime in on how it's held up
My TMC JPC has gotten a big beating, I have had it for a year and I am its second owner and it still looks brand new!

It hasn't really seen much action, but it seems to be holding together fine.
So i don't know if this is really the place for appraisals but i don't know how much this shit is worth and i want to sell it so i'll ask anyway.
I have a pair of M81 Alta superflex kneepads which are pretty much brand new. How much should i ask for?
Whats the best option for a PSO1?
Anyone know of a site where I can still get my hands on some PTS midcaps?
