The Official Questions Thread Version: "Charlies in the trees, what do I need to get rid of them?"
What's the general opinion of the LBX stuff? Not really looking to buy any of it (aside from maybe a combat shirt because they make gray ones), more just curious about how good it can be for how cheap it is.
[editline]7th May 2014[/editline]
Their Glacier Gray assaulter shirt looks like a much better option than paying for another PCU and cutting it into a combat shirt, seeing as it only costs $70 and is only a minor difference in color.

Also, if any of you use BaoFeng radios, do they fit in STANAG shingles?
LBX is LBT produced in South America. I'm not very impressed with their US made stuff, so I'm not sure I'd trust the South American.
You can actually manually rethread your receiver with the barrel nut you received. I did that with my G&P to use an offspec delta ring. Liberally apply grease to the threads, tighten the nut down as much as you can with the assistance of a wrench/vice grips, back it off until it spins freely, and tighten it down again. Repeat that process for what feels like forever, and your G&P will eventually have standard AEG threads. I just sat down and did it while watching some netflix.
Well I think I'll just get the Omega 7 rail for my G&P and the URX for my VFC.
So a gun I'm looking at is wired to the front and includes a PEQ15 battery box. I'm assuming there's no space in the handguard for a battery hence the battery box and I've already got a functional PEQ15 repro that I don't really use but looks cool anyways.
So should I buy a Lipo specifically shaped for the battery box or rewire the whole thing to the buffer tube? Note I've never done any sort of internal work at all, is it particularly difficult to rewire to buffer tube? It's a v3 gearbox if thats any help (looked into it a little and v3s are easier to wire than v2s or something?)
Rewiring seems like the more logical choice since I'll be able to use the buffer tube lipo in more guns than the battery box lipo. Can someone link me to a good 7.2v lipo that'll fit in a buffer tube from Hobbyking?
what kind of gun is it?
what kind of gun is it?
SIG556
Yeah, just rear wire it. Having a buffer tube lipo is easier than having a peq and looks better, at least it would on that. rewiring isnt hard at all, its just taking the gearbox apart and then fitting with wires in and closing it. Keep in mind though when you get a battery, dont get one thats just big enough for the buffer tube. make sure you have wiggle room for the wires, or else you'll look like a right mug

I know nothing of Lipos. Are either of these good? Seems like they both fit in a buffer tube.
I've got an ACOG 4x32 from G&P, that I bought from ebay. Bin using it for around 2 months now. It does it's job pretty well.

which crosshair does that one have?
everytime I open my gun shit gets fucked up
1st time, destroyed hop up and the receivers wouldnt go back together.
fast forward to yesterday. Open up 500 dollar G&G gun because I needed to put the hop up in my shitty gun temporarily. I cracked the receiver. FML.

either one will fit, but I would go for two of the 1200mah batteries instead of one of the 2000
either one will fit, but I would go for two of the 1200mah batteries instead of one of the 2000
Gah they're negative two in stock in the US warehouse. I was hoping on ordering asap. Any alternative option in stock right now or how soon does Hobbyking usually restock their stuff?
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=17277 Lower C rating, does it impact performance noticeably?
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=17289 Reviews say it's slightly longer than a standard buffer tube. SIG556 buffer tube make a difference?
[editline]7th May 2014[/editline]
Are there single-pack type lipos that'll fit in buffer tubes? It seems like these are more made for crane stocks.
the higher the c rating, the more power the battery can deliver to the motor.
the double packs will still fit in buffertubes. theyre the same thickness as the single pack, its just cut in two.
but here are some
unfortunately it's the lame one.
the black cross with black horizontal lines for bdc
Oh lame
I'd love a Chevron one, do they make replicas of that?
[editline]7th May 2014[/editline]
Or maybe the horse shoe??
Would this work on an externally stock CA m4?

Also, is it not shit? I wanna be unique. Show me some other unique rail systems you lovelies
If you're rearwiring a V3 you actually don't need to open the shell, as the wires never enter the gearbox except at the trigger mech, and both rear and front wired V3s have them leaving the shell at the same spot (at least for AKs, the sig MIGHT be different but I doubt it)

Well that works out great then. Plus my brother in law is an electrical engineer and I can probably get him to do stuff for me (mainly solder deans plugs but whatever it should be easy).
How do you get the wires into the buffertube though? How does that work? Do I need to dremel a hole or something? Never had a buffertube so I don't know how it attaches to the receiver.

I think a few of us are fans of the Troy TRX Battlerail. At least I really liked mine, anyway. The aesthics kinda remind me of the barrel shroud on an M2 machine gun.

Madbull makes a nice repro of the rail.

Not that the real one is actually that expensive though.
What are some good smart chargers??
for nimh or lipo?
b6ac/thunder ac6 can do both so
you picked out my micro t-1 and i'm super happy with it
you should pick out an ACOG from there for me too <3
I'm very new to airsoft stuff, but how long could I expect an Intellect 1600 mAh NiMH stick battery to last me on a full charge?
depends on how much you shoot. think of each mah as 1 shot.
depends on how much you shoot. think of each mah as 1 shot.
Really??
That explains a lot.
depends on how much you shoot. think of each mah as 1 shot.
Ahh okay, hopefully it'll last most of the game then since I plan on staying on semi.
Any recommendations on ordering velcro / iron-on / sew-on flag patches and custom patches such as who to order from?
mutinous creations is the best
what is the difference between lct and lct nv?

hi
pinned instead of grub screwed fsb, gas block, and lower handguard retainer are the biggest changes

So my mini deans leads arrived, and one of the pins is missing. Looking back at the product info its pictured like this. Is this intended and safe to use?

I believe so, that's what they all look like.
