Is there anyway I can bring my guns into California and back to Canada on a plane. I have relatives in Glendale that I visit very often and I have already been to evike, but I have wanted to experience SC Viper and some indoor fields because in Vancouver we only have forests. I want to bring my own guns because I don't want to rent pleb shit.
you can bring them into US pretty easily, but getting them back to Canada is going to be much more complicated
What's a good side folder AK to get? Gas/battery powered? price range? ....help?
I am not an AK guy but for 100-250 you could get a CYMA which are decent, for 300-600 you could get an LCT, in the same price range, there is a brand emerging called E&L which has externals on par with real sword. For 700-1000 you could get a real sword. These are all electric

A real sword ak in Canada is 1200 new.
you can bring them into US pretty easily, but getting them back to Canada is going to be much more complicated
I remember reading a thread on ASC about someone wanting to bring they're guns to America and someone said you have to call CBSA and they give you a sticker with a serial number to put on your gun so they know you've brought a firearm out of the country when you're bringing it back in.
How would this do for a first airsoft rifle? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5803
So Redwolf has a 15% off sale for the next couple of days, should I make an impulse buy despite not playing airsoft for over half a year?
15% isn't really enough to get me to buy something I wouldn't pay full price for. If we were talking 30%+, maybe. Also, lol. Not playing for "over half a year" is nothin'. I can't recall off the top of my head but I'm pretty sure I haven't played since at the very least 2010, and I still buy shit all the time.

Also I have never ever bought something I haven't used extensively, but since I'm looking at things like this: http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Blow_Back_Pistols_Marushin_Marushin_COP357_Black_Heavy_Weight_6mm_BB_version.htm and this: http://redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Gas_Pistols_SMGs_Marushin_Marushin_SAA_45_Peacemaker_X_Cartridge_Series_Heavyweight_Black.htm I'm not sure if that's gonna kill me on the inside or not.
I wouldn't say they seem like the most skirmishable guns I've ever seen.
I wouldn't say they seem like the most skirmishable guns I've ever seen.
Well yeah obviously, but neither are my Maruzen M870's but I still used the shit out of them. I have enough high quality guns that I'm not concerned about performance, these would purely be for fun, but they wouldn't be much fun if they're just sitting around in my room. Also unrelated but I FINALLY FOUND THE ROBOCOP AUTO 9 IN STOCK HOLY SHIT
Redwolf's promotions generally exclude some of the cooler stuff though.
Posting this from the 'your next purchase' thread because I could really use some help. Can't decide between these two plate carriers: http://gunfire.pl/product-eng-1152197069-Plate-Carrier-type-protection-vest.html or http://gunfire.pl/product-eng-1152197063-Kamizelka-ochronna-typu-Plate-Carrier.html Any help?
http://gunfire.pl/product-eng-1152197063-Kamizelka-ochronna-typu-Plate-Carrier.html
If the choice is between those two, then this one. Seems less big and bulky (unless that's what you're aiming for).

Real swords are sub 700 now a days unless you are getting ripped off here is an expensive site, usually airsoft guns can be found for about 50-100 dollars more then american retail prices, which when you consider currency conversion rate means that they are pretty close. (I have actually gotten sub american retail prices on some guns.) In practicality take american retail prices * 1.1 + 10 to 80 to get Canadian prices, other then pistols which are normally around double the price. (pistols are an exception as they need modifying to get into Canada.)
I wasn't aware that pistols needed modding, is it fps?
Yep, most pistols only manage around 300-320 so the standard method of getting em in is a long barrel in a silencer to push it to 360-380, that's how my WE came.
Went to the gun store yesterday to pick up a charging handle for the WOC. I wanted to get a cheap, off-brand one for $25 because it's for airsoft, but they didn't have it in stock so I ended up with a rather expensive VLTOR BCM Gunfighter MOD 4 charging handle which looks cool as hell. Put it in and everything fits and cycles right, so I'm down to go to EOA on Sunday Herf. Also at the gun store, I got to fondle a million different guns, including a couple M82's and what I hope to be my personal gun, the HK91. Felt like sex. I'm going back next week since they rent machine guns for $10. That being said I'm prepared to have to drop like $50 on ammo, at least.

They open at 1 on Sundays. Unrelated, Best multicam pouch to hold G36 mag?
Yep, real steel will fit with a bit of effort on your end. http://www.gasguns.info/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11983&p=84247&hilit=charging+handle#p84176 First post (and there's plenty like it on the gasguns forum) where he talks about putting your plastic buffer at the front end so as to not damage your BCG. Also, you'll want to make damn sure there's about 2-3mm of give in the handle (i.e., when you pull it back, the first 2-3mm are not in contact with the bolt carrier itself, but are free to move around). If you don't do that, you run the risk of your bolt smashing into the front of your charging handle every time it cycles, and that's a sure-fire way to break your handle. But yeh, shave the 'wings' off, and file anywhere where there's 'too much' contact and you'll be golden.
Okay, so everything seems well with the charging handle, but my G&P one had no plastic buffer to begin with. Also, I don't have that 2-3mm of play in the charging handle, how should I go about getting that to happen?
Speaking of sales evike is having a %25 off sale this weekend just because they can. I'm gonna snag up a BE stock and some upgrades.
Okay, so everything seems well with the charging handle, but my G&P one had no plastic buffer to begin with. Also, I don't have that 2-3mm of play in the charging handle, how should I go about getting that to happen?
Honestly this is more of a question for the gasguns forum, but what I'd suggest is checking the very end (the part that comes into contact with the top of your BCG and seeing if you can dremel out any materiel to make a bit of extra space for that bolt to slide forward. Because right now, it's possible that the handle isn't allowing the bolt to fully return because the charging handle is 'too short'. As for the bit of plastic: It's not really necessary, but it does help with the wear on your bolt carrier. It's only aluminium, whilst real steel ones are, well, steel. If you can find some plastic dowel that's the right diameter then I'd suggest drilling through the very front of the charging handle, and using a pin to retain a small piece of plastic dowel that comes into contact with the BCG but that'd just be what I'd do because I know that's how many of the airsoft charging handles work. Again, probably a question for the guys at that other forum. You'll see the Magpul one comes with some extra plastic 'nubs' (i.e. the cut-down dowel I was on about) that are retained at the end of the charging handle with a small pin. It allows one to essentially adjust the length of said charging handle to allow for that bit of 'play' and make sure that the bolt is fully returning to battery and not stopping short.
So I've been really looking into airsoft guns and the one I wanted first was GBB and had REALLY expensive magazines ($50+ each at midcap). The second one I wanted went out of stock literally the day after I got the money for buying it. Now I've found another one that's cheaper but has great reviews and is a good AEG beginner rifle. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=15836 It's the Umarex HK416 and so far it looks good at a decent price. I'm getting the rifle itself and the burst upgrade (because why not). One problem I noticed is that the rifle uses proprietary magazines so I can't just use any other kind of magazine. I've searched up and down and can't find shit for this rifle's magazine on the Airsoft GI website nor on the Umarex website itself. I did find an HK417 mid-cap magazine but it's over $40! Anyone know where I can find this type of magazine at a cheap price? And also does anyone have experience with burst on AEGs and if it's worth it? EDIT: NEVERMIND. Literally right after I posted this I checked Evike as a last attempt and found hi-caps for like $20.

It will fall apart. Its made more for backyard skirmishes than actual games. If you /have/ to have a 416, go VFC if you can, and JG or Dboys if you cant.

Easy mods to increase gas efficiency in hicapa?
Easy mods to increase gas efficiency in hicapa?
not sure if this can increase efficiency, but propelyene gas works in the cold and we use it here in canada. Doesnt eat seals or hop rubber.
add shims underneath the top magazine gasket
