Honestly this is more of a question for the gasguns forum, but what I'd suggest is checking the very end (the part that comes into contact with the top of your BCG and seeing if you can dremel out any materiel to make a bit of extra space for that bolt to slide forward. Because right now, it's possible that the handle isn't allowing the bolt to fully return because the charging handle is 'too short'. As for the bit of plastic: It's not really necessary, but it does help with the wear on your bolt carrier. It's only aluminium, whilst real steel ones are, well, steel. If you can find some plastic dowel that's the right diameter then I'd suggest drilling through the very front of the charging handle, and using a pin to retain a small piece of plastic dowel that comes into contact with the BCG but that'd just be what I'd do because I know that's how many of the airsoft charging handles work. Again, probably a question for the guys at that other forum. You'll see the Magpul one comes with some extra plastic 'nubs' (i.e. the cut-down dowel I was on about) that are retained at the end of the charging handle with a small pin. It allows one to essentially adjust the length of said charging handle to allow for that bit of 'play' and make sure that the bolt is fully returning to battery and not stopping short.
Ah, thanks. I'll look into that. As of now, the bolt returns to battery without issue and everything functions right so I guess I'll play at EOA tomorrow and see how things go. As for the rubber buffer bit, the charging handle I got is fucking weird and has a big hole in the front right where the gas key should hit it. So instead of the gas key hitting the piston, it's actually the plastic bit in the front - which can't be good for the BCG. I think I'll dremel down the bottom of the charging handle and look for a properly sized rubber buffer to slot into the hole in the front of the charging handle. Thanks for the help! Also Herf, in light of the fact that my gun is currently working, what time are you gonna be at EOA? 1PM?
Yeah, I'm planning to go at opening time. If you wanna come over beforehand, you can. Got the lake in the back so theres plenty of room to get your hopup dialed in and we could maybe dick around on bikes for a bit or something. Or we could just meet there at 1.
Sweet. PM me your address and I'll let you know tomorrow. I gotta get my car inspected first, so if there's time after that I'll drop by nigga. [editline]25th May 2014[/editline] Also how strict are they on the rules? Specifically the mesh goggles and full face mask? Could I get away with a shemagh?

VERY strict on 400 fps limit, so if you're unsure of the FPS on your WOC, I'll get my friend to bring some duster so you can pass chrono. If you're bringing a backup AEG, you need a barrel sock. I've got a spare.
Awesome. As long as the full face isn't required I'm good to go on the no mesh thing. I just fog like a motherfucker when I have to wear both full face and non mesh goggles. I'm pretty sure the WOC is under 400, but just in case if you could do the duster gas thing I'd be hella grateful.
Where does one aquire green label/beta project EMAGs? cant use pmags because 416.
Where does one aquire green label/beta project EMAGs? cant use pmags because 416.
I got mine at airsoft-club.com (china) but they haven't been in stock for a while, want a another box myself. Ehobbyasia has them as well, some in stock. Those are the only I know off.
does anyone know what type of screws the replica surefire scouts use to attach a mount? I want to direct mount it to my vtac rails but the stock screws are too small and i don't have anything i can use as a washer.
What vest and headgear should I wear with my Gorka?
getting my first airsoft gun tonight and I'm really stoked, its two tone because shitty UK laws and no UKARA. http://www.airsoftworld.net/two-tone-src-g36c-gen-iii-airsoft-rifle.html But for the life of me I can't find how big the railings are. I want to put a grip/red dot sight on there, but I just cannot find the railing sizes anywhere. Anyone have any idea? cheers <3
The rails will handle any grip and red dot you'd want.
Also all of those painted parts are easily replaceable should you want to when you get the UKARA
so it doesn't matter if I get a 14mm grip with a 20mm sight? I was thinking these two: www.airsoftworld.net/gun-accessories/fore-grips/knights-style-vertical-grip.html http://www.airsoftworld.net/multi-reticle-holo-sight.html Yeh, the company I'm buying from even offers to respray the gun once I get UKARA, but I'm not all that bothered at the moment as it's just 4 friends dicking about in a field haha. Cheers for the help!
so it doesn't matter if I get a 14mm grip with a 20mm sight?
What are these measurements referring to?
Might be a stupid question but I have a couple of MOLLE pouches here, a utility pouch and an admin pouch of some sort. Sadly, they won't fit on my vest as the pouches on there are stitched on and it's OD which I don't feel like tossing on a CADPAT vest even if I could. Since I'm still very new I don't yet have a MOLLE belt or a harness or anything like that, I do however have a belt from when I was in police cadets several years ago. I had an idea that I could weave the MOLLE through itself and have it make a belt loop of sort. The end result is this: [IMG_thumb]http://imgur.com/bpiqFRq.png[/IMG_thumb] It seems to work but I'm wondering if they would be too silly to wear on a non MOLLE belt and if I should just let my sister's boyfriend use the pouches on my plate carrier.

All airsoft accessories will be built for 20mm rails so don't worry about it. [editline]29th May 2014[/editline] Ok so some Googling tells me 14mm rails are sometimes used on air rifles/rimfire/.22s. Just get attachments specifically for airsoft, 20mm or Picatinny rails.
dovetail is only used for optics anyway, don't think there's such a thing as a 14mm grip
I got a vfc scar ssr off ebay and it seemed good. I was trying out the stock adjustment and accidentally pulled it out. How do I put it back in? Or am I fucked
Need a holster for my TM G18C.. where should i buy from
Ive found exactly one place that will sell this rail but their shipping is half the cost of the product and its overseas. does anyone know where I can find it? repro ksk begadi rail WGCshop is where I found it.
WGC isn't sketchy, if that what you're worried about. Shipping costs generally seem to be the same overseas between retailers. And I doubt you could find that in the states.
Ive ordered from them before but I just hate the wait and the shipping costs. near impossible to find in the states though. nobody sells it because they dont see the use of having an even higher rail then the idz flat top.
Way too fucking many days has my gun been on the operating table, pending to get fixed by me. Well today I finally changed the piston head set and made sure that it was compressed to perfection. I slapped the gearbox and gun together and went outside for a test shoot. My piece of shit gun still only shot the BB's a meter forward while only one in 20 shots went straight. Then I tried to to see if the problem was with the wire making too much contact with the selector plate and trying to fix that by positioning the wire in another position one part of it got stripped to the wiring itself. Realizing that now it might well be another two fucking weeks before I get to try fixing my gun due to a damn camp I have to be teaching at. If it isn't the compression that is causing massive problems with the gun; then what is it? I even disassembled the gearbox for the superlatively hundredth just to double check on the compression and it still held up. Could it be the feeding system? Should I buy a new tapid-plate? I'm starting to feel like a big fucking failure when I've had this on my to-do list and it's still broken due to my own ineptitude. We'll not entirely my ineptitude: Cybergun/CYMA just have to be such pricks that they can't include a goddamn assembly guide to their product. Edit: I totally forgot to ask about what tool would you suggest for making the hole trough a plain sorbo-pad?
Cleanest and cheapest tool, depending on availability would probably be a cigar punch

I've been wanting a GBBR, but I live in the frigid north so I get to use them effectively for 1/3 of the year. GHK G5 is one of my all-time-most-wanted guns, but I wouldn't mind a WE M4 or LM4
Can you guys use CO2 up there? I know the WOC at least (and probably the GHK, WE, and KWA guns as well) has CO2 mags.
