How expensive or difficult is it to get an AEG shooting straight and far? I recall seeing somebody post a list of upgrades neded to make a gun shoot 'like a laser' somewhat recently, but i can't find that post and i can't recall any of the upgrades besides 'flat hop', which i know nothing about.
Depends on the gun itself as well as the ammo you're using, some hopup models are totally lame (like most things connected to a V2 gearbox) while others do a lot of the work for you. I've put maybe $50 and an hour into each of my MP5K's and while they have a fairly large spread their accuracy is good and their range is ludicrous.
I tend to mostly use .20s since they're what my local field sells, but i might start buying from elsewhere if different weights work better for accuracy/range. The gun i'd like to upgrade is an M16, so the gearbox is a G&P V2. The barrel i've got at the moment is a madbull black python, but the hop unit, rubber, and the nub are a mystery to me.

Use .25g+ always. Once you figure out an ammo weight you like you can go from there for your bucking + nub; your barrel should do just fine.
G&P V2's are pretty much fine out of the box. Only improvements I'd recommend are a new Cylinder Head (Double O-Ring) and a O-Ring air nozzle.
I know nothing about ammo so last game i bought a bottle of .2s from the on-site shop because my friend said 'yeah .2s are fine, i'll make sure to get .25s or heavier in future. I would like to know, though: What exactly is flat-hopping and how does it affect performance? Can you do it to just any gun for instant improvement, or does it require a certain set of parts?
RUSFAP, I SUMMON THEE I want to do a little tasteful tacticooling to my DBoys AKS-74U. What are your recommendations for a handguard? I've considered this but something a little more kosher would be nice, like a Zenit (although I have no idea which one to get). For now I plan to keep the original stock, but I'd like to put a micro T-1 on top of the handguard and a Tango Down vertgrip or maybe an M900 replica on the bottom. Recommendations for a pistol grip to replace the original would be nice as well, but I can live with the original one.
Any idea where to find a decent 6.08mm barrel? Around 350-450mm length? PDI ones are so expensive :(
I thought standard barrels are 6.08 mm.
Generally they are, but they have high tolerances and are made of brass which increases in diameter over time.
Nah I wouldnt want a widebore like that. I've heard it drops your fps a lot and since the DG uses most of the air for the kick then id have to raise the PSI way too high :( Ive just heard standard or 6.08s are fine.
I used a 6.01 in my DG for a long time. Honestly didn't have any issue with it.
ummmm How do I make an order on Profarmy?
You have to contact the owner about purchases. [editline].[/editline]
Profarmy (everything is in Russian so have a translator tool ready; directly google translating the site breaks it): has the best prices, transaction is done via contacting the owner about purchases. Shipping takes long because Russia. Probably the only site that's regularly stocked in Russian gear
Thanks kill
I used a 6.01 in my DG for a long time. Honestly didn't have any issue with it.
Also, I see you TTW-ing your DG FAL on Facebook want [editline]17th June 2014[/editline] @digitalricky
You have to contact the owner about purchases. [editline].[/editline] Thanks kill
be prepared to spend 2 weeks emailing them though because their CS is slow as shit
be prepared to spend 2 weeks emailing them though because their CS is slow as shit
Alternatively do it all in about an hour at 5AM like I did. They responded nearly immediately and were super helpful.
Do any of you have z tactical/element comtac IIs? I want to buy some but I heard the sound quality is ass. Is this true? I don't really need real ones because I'm probably gonna only use them one time and then have them on my lid for pictures.
Would I have any issues importing a fully trademarked Stark Arms Glock 18 from ehobby? Is there anything special I need to do? Anything I need to tell/request of them?
heeeeelp. I need this sooner rather than later, it's a gift
heeeeelp. I need this sooner rather than later, it's a gift
not sure on US laws but a dude on reddit taped over the glock trades
i believe you can request that they put a putty over the trademarks
i believe you can request that they put a putty over the trademarks
I have a bunch of knock off gibson guitars that i believe come from the same factory, when they ship them, they put a scratch off kind of sharpie over the gibson name.
i believe you can request that they put a putty over the trademarks
IIRC they do it for all orders sent to the US.
Does someone have experience with hop-up bucking rubbers from Falcon? Or else Madbull?
general consensus here is that madbull buckings are pretty shit some people love the fuck out of them but those people often happen to be sponsored or working for the company or one of its affiliates (BRIAN HOLT) so
IIRC they do it for all orders sent to the US.
Is this true? Or do I need to email them or something?
So I looked up Sorbo Pads so that I could buy one and correct my AoE when I get my gearbox shimmed, and I saw a bunch of different ones with different Hardness ratings. What's the importance of the hardness of a Sorbo Pad, and which one should I get if I'm going to put it in my Combat Machine that will have an M100 spring in it?
retoast for new page
handguards http://www.srvv.org/en/catalog/1657/48982/ OR http://zenitco.ru/catalog/1717/1816/1719/ (lower) http://zenitco.ru/catalog/1717/1819/1720/ (upper) if you're going the zenit route it would probably be much more beneficial to wait for the SHS or Asura clones or ZenitPTS if that actually becomes a thing not sure on the optics or underbarrel part because almost nobody uses 74us in russian sf hence almost no ref pics if you can drop the dosh get a (repro) srvv short or zenit dtk-1 brake for maximum coolguy though [editline]18th June 2014[/editline]
So I looked up Sorbo Pads so that I could buy one and correct my AoE when I get my gearbox shimmed, and I saw a bunch of different ones with different Hardness ratings. What looks better with a silver pistol, light wood grips or dark wood grips?
Is this true? Or do I need to email them or something?
I emailed them a long time ago because I wanted to buy a WE226 Navy with trades, and that's the response I got. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to shoot them an email just to be safe.
