heeeeeellll no. G&G's RK series are all magnesium receivers and prone to snapping at the tangs, do not want. And to be technical, G&G's AKMS was a rebrand of RMW.
I've been interested in playing more serious airsoft for a while and when i found out that one of my friends were playing i got a real craving for playing! I already had my uniform (the swedish military M90; http://www.rodastjarnan.com/media/M90tag.jpg) hanging in my closet, but there were a lot of things i had to get before i felt ready to start. By now i think i've found pretty much everything, but i tought i should ask the professionals (you guys) before ordering. Some of these things are from a swedish website, but you should get an idea of what kind of item it is anyway! Store: Taiwangun Holo 552 - http://www.taiwangun.com/en/holo-552...ight-black-acm G608-KV - http://www.taiwangun.com/en/g608-kv-jg M9 - http://www.taiwangun.com/en/replika-...campaign-id=19 M9 - magazine - http://www.taiwangun.com/en/m9-magaz...&campaign-id=6 G36 magazine pouch - http://www.taiwangun.com/en/double-p...campaign-id=14 One-point Sling - http://www.taiwangun.com/en/tactical...live-8fields-2 Store: Röda Stjärnan Gloves - http://www.rodastjarnan.com/handskar...vlar-gron-5901 SRC G36 magazines - http://www.rodastjarnan.com/airsoft/...bbladdare-6823 MOLLE vest - http://www.rodastjarnan.com/stridsut...rrier-od-20645 Protective goggles (chose these because they were pretty much the only ones i think would fit over my glasses) - http://www.rodastjarnan.com/airsoft/...sogon-od-13591 Holster - http://www.rodastjarnan.com/stridsut...t-vanster-6977 Shemagh - http://www.rodastjarnan.com/mossor-o...ron/svart-3551 All of this should go for about 5000:- swedish crowns (~$730 USD) which i think is pretty OK. So what do you think? I'd say this is pretty much what i need (except for ammo, etc) but do you think there is something missing? What about the G36? I know that JG isn't the best company out there, but would it suffice?
darn they have a sale on at a nearby airsoft store
i would get flyye instead of condor if i were u. I also heard about a problem with the current batch of jg g36s Also many fields dont allow mesh goggles.
the very basic model is pot metal/alum and you'd soon be paying out the ass for quality steel parts tho
Indeed, but it gives one the option to slowly upgrade rather than dropping over a whole grand on one at one time.
darn they have a sale on at a nearby airsoft store
Buy stuff, even if you don't want it, sell it at normal prices to other people.
Indeed, but it gives one the option to slowly upgrade rather than dropping over a whole grand on one at one time.
I thought WOCs were more in the $500-$700 range?

I know that JG isn't the best company out there, but would it suffice?
Where do we keep getting these Swedes from? Seriously with Jettan and Coyoteze, you better be some famous YouTuber as well. Sweet M90 though. Anyways half your links are broken for some reason. The JG G36 is great, had one myself and it's built like a tank. Ask almost anyone and they'll agree. The KV stock is sweet too. Can't say much about the M9 but if it's the KJW then you might want to find something else. IIRC they had a lot of problems (or maybe I'm mixing it up with another gun, I've never ran a secondary). You might not want to get the SRC G36 mags since they only hold 50 rounds and you might find that annoying as a beginner. The midcaps I had held 140 rounds. If you're fine with doing semi only and practicing reloads then that's cool too. Like ryan11 said, mesh goggles while relatively safe and don't fog, still have the risk of getting bb fragments/shards in your eyes. I don't wear glasses so maybe someone else can help you with that. Everything else looks pretty much fine for a beginner. The vest might get you some flak for being Condor but I'd say it's good enough. [editline]8th July 2014[/editline] Also, how would rg mag pouches on a cb pc look? Would that be too weird? What's the general consensus on mismatching molle attachments/pouch colors?
I thought WOCs were more in the $500-$700 range?
WOC-X/challenge kit/shitbag version is $250 quality wocs are that price [editline]8th July 2014[/editline] the KJW M9 is fine, the one with iffy QC is the WE
... Like ryan11 said, mesh goggles while relatively safe and don't fog, still have the risk of getting bb fragments/shards in your eyes.
Mesh goggles are most safely worn with some type of glasses underneath to prevent BB pieces in your eyes, so always wear something underneath.
Oh well if he's already wearing glasses under them then there should be no problem.
Also, how would rg mag pouches on a cb pc look? Would that be too weird? What's the general consensus on mismatching molle attachments/pouch colors?
Anyone? Can't find any good image references on google.
Anyone? Can't find any good image references on google.
Searched around a bit and only found the opposite. Generally, it looks okay if done right. If your rig is clean, crisp, with no accessories, and a bunch of shiny repro pouches on it, it'll look bad. That's where most people go wrong.
I thought WOCs were more in the $500-$700 range?

WOC-X/challenge kit/shitbag version is $250 quality wocs are that price [editline]8th July 2014[/editline] the KJW M9 is fine, the one with iffy QC is the WE
This. But a steel internals kit will set you back ~$140 ontop of one of the slightly sub-par $350 ones, and at that point all you're paying for is a nicer receiver (but you're still getting something incredibly solid). I got my first one second-hand with one of CNC'd receiver sets, but I still had to swap out a bunch of the internals because they were all worn away. And yeh, the challenge kits are wank really, unless - again - you're buying steel parts to swap out with. Really, there's nothing wrong with buying one of the cheap-o ones and buying some proper parts for it, but as killer says, you want to be wary of the WOC-X because those are pot metal where it really counts.
So my 6094 cummerbund won't adjust any shorter and it still feels really loose and bulky. I'm not a big guy. I'm never going to use side plates so I was looking at some aftermarket cummerbunds and it seems like the PIG Elastic one is the best but I'd still like to have molle to attach stuff on the sides. I found this thread on devtsix (registered just to read it: http://devtsix.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=2593) and it looks like the JPC style cummerbund works pretty well and is exactly what I'm looking for. Has anyone tried using a JPC cummerbund on a 6094? And is there somewhere that sells JUST the JPC cummerbund/a repro alone?

If you decide you'd like something lighter weight, I do have an LBT elastic cummerbund to spare that you could have for a good price. Came off a 6094a, as well, so it'll be a bit smaller.
I think someone at my field uses the firstspear cummerbund on his 6094

And I might take you up on that LBT elastic cummerbund offer though I'm not too sure if all the stuff I'll be carrying will just fit on the front molle.

You have to reinforce the cummerbund with hard plastic, and put holes through the webbing and the hard plastic thats already in it, and weave some cord/bungee through it. I can take pics. Also, if you decide to go the elastic route, you could do what I was planning to before finding the AVS cummerbund, and sew some pockets on it. There are two elastic bands already, just need a line of thread sewn in where you want each edge of the pocket, and then maybe something along the bottom to keep things from falling out. I have some khaki webbing I could include for that purpose if you'd like.
Huh so it doesn't just work out of the box? Looks like it isn't all that different from the stock cummerbund. I can see the three straps bunching up in the back though. Both of those options are a bit more work than I anticipated.

So you'd still have to get some hard plastic and reinforce it.
is there anywhere that has this pouch in ODG that doesnt take forever to ship? http://www.rsov.com/product.php?langId=1&currencyId=1&manufacturerId=&prodId=10642&cateId=221

Meanwhile, I found this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/PANTAC-PH-C422-TN-A-SpecOps-Malice-Universal/dp/B000TJIEQE something tells me that isn't a radio pouch. [editline]9th July 2014[/editline] Found one in "Ranger Green" http://www.uk.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Combat_Gear_Pouches_Attachments_Pantac_Spec_Ops_MALICE_Universal_Radio_Pouch_Ranger_Green_Cordura.htm But its from Britland
Can anyone recommend a good starting pistol? I've been airsofting for around 6-8 months now and I am looking to get a new additional to my loadout. Currently have Combat Machine Raider-L but am looking to potentially get a pistol to deal with CQB situations where my M4's size would hinder me. I am looking for a GBB and I don't want to go the typical route of getting a 1911 or Deagle. I was looking at Hi-Capas at the moment and they looking interesting me. Posting here because I am still quite new to the airsofting scene and would like some help on the matter.
My first pistol was a KJW KP-08. I still have it and it still works fine. Highly recommend KJW Hicapas
Found a KJW CZ75 (co2) online for 110 euros.. anyone have any experience with that specific model?
the typical route of getting a 1911 or Deagle.
Bahahahaha what? Desert Eagles are anything but common
Maybe i can't speak for how it is in the US, but over here they're hardly uncommon, but still nowhere near as common as glocks or 1911 variants. USP masterrace.
I've never seen anyone else having a Desert Eagle here in the US.
With Desert Eagles I think everyones like: "Thats too boring, everyone has one" And everyone thinks this. So nobody has one.
No, I think they're massive and impractical
