What's a good way to improve the range on an AEG? Compared to others', mine suffers from terrible BB drop. I have never messed with internals before, so I do not know where to start. There's SMG sized M4A1s capable of putting plastic downrange rather accurately, so I wonder what upgrades, if any at all, have they applied?

Get a better quality barrel with a tighter bore diameter. I'd say depending on your FPS get a stronger spring and the appropriate parts to go with it, buuuuuut if you've never worked on internals before diving right into the guts may not be a good idea.

Hop up; Get a good barrel/ hop up bucking (and hop up unit depending on the gun). You can do that easily without opening a gear box and dealing with all those parts.

Later on down the road when you are comfortable opening up the gearbox, you might want to work on getting a better airseal, so get a new cylinder, cylinder head, and piston head, preferably of all the same brand

If you want a lipo, order one off of hobby king or something

I used magazines. that gives it some stability. when you're crouching and such it wont fold over and it really makes a difference in how a replica plate carrier looks. I'll take pictures when Im home.
