To be fair, Cybergun still has claim over the title of Most Assholish Airsoft Company.
Did you forget echo 1?
Cybergun was definitely worse. lawsuits like you aint even believe
Not to mention their chokehold on overseas airsoft, especially in Europe. You think shit's overpriced in Canada? Expect to pay a LOT more in Europe. http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/Thinking-buying-Cybergun-t247685.html
what would palco sports be classified as it says palco sports on all cybergun shit i guess they make 70s style airsoft pornos
So I'm looking at side-arms at the moment and I was wondering what Facepunch thought about holster positioning. Chest holster seems cool but I'm not that tall so I'm afraid it'll hit me in the chin everytime I crouch.
Shoot me for saying it but I like drop-leg holsters. I know everyone says "droplegs are bad" or whatever but I really like the way my Safariland 6004 sits. I have super long arms so having a holster mounted on the side of my PC is really uncomfortable because it's hard to ben my arm all the way up the the MOLLE.
Belt/horizontal chest mounted holsters for me
I hated my drop leg when i first got it but i am used to it now and i like it
Hi guys so I wanna make an operator loadout (I know it's noobie but still) and after I made an ass out of myself on the loadout a threat I was told to come here :) so are there any tips you guys could give me?
I'm just gonna make this a simple as I can: -Tan/CB/Multicam/Khaki JPC, MBAV, CPC, etc plate carrier -Snakeskin painted MICH 2000/2001/2002, CVC (w/out liner), airframe, FAST, etc helmet + nod shroud and arm -Sordin, Comtac, Peltor, etc AP headset w/PTT(s) -Oakley M-Frames (clear lens) or Smith Boogies, ess nvg for cheap -Crye G3, Drifire, Cryemod BDU, etc combat cut pants w/kneepads -Combat shirt or softshell jacket -M81, khaki, DCU, AOR1/2, etc oper8 camo -hiking boots, no GI boots -Mechanix or oakley SI gloves -safariland, SERPA, etc tacticool holster -IR flag patches everywhere, loads of shit hanging off your helmet and PC -lots o' chemlights, karabiners, tourniquets, MS2000 beacon, helmet lights, etc tactical shit -spray paint half your shit khaki or snakeskin and then let it weather to all shit and never repaint there: the secret recipe for an "operator load out" [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] that came off a little sarcastic but I'm being honest that's p much exactly the kit I run [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/RskGXrq.jpg[/thumb] [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] also callsign patches and a battle belt if you want a heavy ass load out
Thanks so much zao :D appreciate the effort
Sure thing. There's a lot of variance in that type of kit (hence my writing "etc" all over the place). I just listed a couple of typical generic options for each thing. You could use Outdoor Research or pig gloves instead of the ones I listed or whatever. Also use a riggers belt, forgot to mention it. And that recipe is for a super generic "operator" kit. It's not an impression of anything in particular or ever inspired by any real life unit. It's just kind of a basic list of stuff that will give you the look and functionality you're going for. It missing a bunch of shit too. [editline]18th July 2014[/editline] nor is any of that stuff by any means required for an operator kit, you can certainly have one without a lot of that stuff, that's just my list of shit
So wait, why are droplegs shit? I personally loved my old Safariland thigh rig back when I still had the P226, and I've got an old-as-dirt Guarder Mk23 dropleg that's still hella comfortable. I've got it on a duty belt with suspenders to distribute the weight across my shoulders so I don't have to worry about the holster sagging on me. Did the same setup with the Safariland.
Usually when someone says dropleg, thoughts come to mind of the shitty cordura universal droplegs that kids run half way down their thighs. Theres nothing wrong with safarilands, so far as you make them proper nut-huggers like a dropleg should be.
You mean like this kid on a local forum I once saw with his Condor dropleg practically riding on his knee? :v:

Apparently the dudes tried to swim out of the helicopter as it was sinking and their droplegs got snagged on the window/doorframes, dooming them to drown.
I like the look of droplegs and i like the look of kneepads but my legs have a problem with that, so its one or the other for me
I hate having things on my legs in general. I don't even like running a battle belt. Just plate carrier for me.
I always run knee pads and usually a dropleg and I tend to forget they're there for most of the day
My kneecaps are made of steel so I don't need them lol.
My knees are not steel and I've damaged them so I had some really nice pants made that were really expensive and theyre not kosher for my kit.
Except for knee pads built into pants I fuck with those.
really dont get knee pad hate. Maybe its because I have monster legs that put the girth of a redwood tree to shame, but as long as I cross the straps on the kneepads, they just like stay in the back of my knee and dont move and they're just there.
I hate having things on my legs in general. I don't even like running a battle belt. Just plate carrier for me.
??? If you're running a battlebelt under a plate carrier its supposed to ride high up on you, like at almost belly button level.
TL;DR some people like droplegs, some don't
??? If you're running a battlebelt under a plate carrier its supposed to ride high up on you, like at almost belly button level.
I know. I just meant I hate having anything on at once but a plate carrier(unless I'm running just a belt rig). My bad, I didn't mean to imply I wore a battle belt around my legs lol.
I actually prefer to carry IWB, even when concealment is not a concern.

http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/Thinking-buying-Cybergun-t247685.html
That reminds me. I got banned on 2 CyberGun FaceBook pages, because I said they don't make anything. And probably some other things... Man, some people sure can't handle feedback.
I'll try my buddies dropleg out at my next skirm and see how it fits. Depends if I'm rocking my Vegetato or KZM though. Thinking about getting a CZ75 of some sort (KP-09?) so finding a molle holster for that might be tricky. Thanks for the input on this so far guys! At most Dutch forums the replies would have been "I have brand X because RL unit Y uses them so it must be good". Sorry for my many questions sometimes but I can't help but feel you guys know your shit like no-one else pretty much. Also, I think wearing kneepads is just a personal preference.. and nothing more. I don't like tree roots and the pads I got from SPLAV sit really nice and they are lightweight. Barely notice they're there in the first place, even when taking a sprint.
when you do try the dropleg, make sure you adjust it so that it rides as high as you can make it go.
