Is this Val the OEM model of the red staya igoya? http://www.torontoairsoft.com/AY-AS-VAL-AEG_p_3823.html
yes
180 other places, let's play the "who wants to spend $50 more on an ACM for the world's worst bucking, some stickers, and shitty trades that are shittily laser engraved" game
So as a beginner I wanted to replace the shitty 7.4v 600mAh battery on my Double Eagle M806 with something in the 2000mAh range, but I'm unsure on which of the following two would be better off. This is the first option and the cheapest from what I've seen, whilst this is the second and costs another £13 with the only difference apparent to me being that it's got an extra 100mAh, otherwise it looks and seems to be pretty much the same. Now I've heard that cheap batteries are a no-no but IIRC a friend mentioned to me that batteries in the roughly £20+ range are usually safer than those costing less, so I wanted to see if anyone would be able to help me out on this. Also, I've read on the latter page that LiPo batteries stop working if the charge runs out. How do you prevent this from happening? EDIT: Someone also linked this to me as well.
Replace your gun first. [editline]25th July 2014[/editline] As for the LiPo question, don't use them up all the way. When you notice a significant decrease in your rate of fire, unplug it.
Nothing wrong with the gun itself, so I'd prefer if you just answered my original question instead of avoiding it and moving on to the next.
Dont run a lipo on your double eagle. It is a very low end gun and even some high end guns arent ready for one.
Dont run a lipo on your double eagle. It is a very low end gun and even some high end guns arent ready for one.
There are two types of people: Those who buy into the marketing, and those who know better.
Dont run a lipo on your double eagle. I could not live in a world where every rifle was made in vivid colored plastic
Actually, I looked into the gun a while ago and it showed the guy mentioning that it could support a lipo battery. Refer to 4:07
The inherit problems with that gun aren't because of the battery, it's because it's made of crap components and made as a toy. If you seriously want to buy a lipo for it then go ahead and do so. Yeah either of those batteries will work, the best way to keep batteries from running it out is to keep them charged.
Shellback Banshee for 120$ with pouches included. I like it, it fits, and I don't have a plate carrier. Should I go for it?
Shellback Banshee for 120$ with pouches included. I like it, it fits, and I don't have a plate carrier. Should I go for it?
They're usually ~$160 new without pouches and it's pretty much the same as a 6094 so go for it.

Should I go for it?
I wouldnt, just because if youre going for an operator kit, that is the wrong way to go. You can get better things in the same price range and won't have to worry about being laughed at by milsimmers, and you'll look hellaswag to your average 'softer.
I'm looking into maybe getting into airsoft? The only field nearby I've found is one called Fort Adobe and they list their hours like this I don't understand much, dunno what recball or airball is (it's also a paintball field), but is this saying that they only have airsoft hours during the winter? [editline]25th July 2014[/editline] If anybody is in Arizona or familiar with Arizona for airsoft stuff, hit me up, cause I think this might be something I wanna do.
Seems like it which honestly is pretty weird seeing how airsoft would seemingly be more popular during the summer. You could probably email the managers and see what's up. Isn't Desert Rat and that friend of his who never posts also in Arizona?
rat's in colorado [editline]25th July 2014[/editline] iirc it was vanguard which he played at in az and didn't recommend at all

You could say most guns are actually LiPo ready, as long as you don't let them rip on full auto or fire rapidly on semi.
And stick with 2S lipos.
So what were the worst purchases you guys have made in airsoft?
$90 for my Crye mod woodies. They're easily worth the price tag, but it's a lot of money for pants that aren't kosher for my kit. [editline]26th July 2014[/editline] Oh, and combat boots. Absolutely worthless purchase, put a massive hole in the back of my foot, made my arches hurt, heavy, and slow. $20 Walmart hikers were better until I got my Merrells.
mystery box
I bought a LAW for £60 that was pretty much just a really shit model kit somebody had cut a trapdoor in the bottom for loading it and a ghetto-rigged firing mechanism for moscarts. I think i deleted all the pictures out of shame because i can't find them anymore. It was a heap of shit.
mystery box
can fucking confirm
So I've got my trickle charger for my weird Micro MP7 batteries, and I've got my smart charger for my Tamiya batteries. is it possible (I know it's probably not smart) to get that trickle charger and splice the cord for it into a tamiya connector so that I can plug it into my smart charger? better question: is there some sort of weird micro to tamiya/tamiya small connector that I can use instead of possibly ruining my only charger for those tiny batteries?
Get a soldering iron, some shrinktube, and some more-desirable connectors.
Care to donate to the "Zero works at walmart and therefore can barely afford his bills, let alone slight upgrades for his airsoft guns" Foundation also that doesn't answer my question at all.
Care to donate to the "Zero works at walmart and therefore can barely afford his bills, let alone slight upgrades for his airsoft guns" Foundation also that doesn't answer my question at all.
Well you could do that, but using the same tools and a few extra cheap materials, you could do what I suggested.
Care to donate to the "Zero works at walmart and therefore can barely afford his bills, let alone slight upgrades for his airsoft guns" Foundation also that doesn't answer my question at all.
Step 1, Find out which cable is positive and which one is negative (Red = + and Black = -) Step 2, Cut the wires with the shit connector. Step 3, Remove some insulation from wire Step 4, Solder your tamaiya leads to the wire Step 5, Stick your leads into the tamaiya plug (REMEMBER WHICH ONES IS PLUS AND WHICH ONE IS MINUS) Ta-fuckin-da, you have now wadingadingalinga switched the connector on your gun/model airplane/sex toy/whatever Have a good day. [editline]27th July 2014[/editline] Oh wait, you got one of these batteries? [t]http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/t/m/tm-cm-02_1_mark.jpg[/t] Do this. And then stick a tiny lipo in there.
