I was playing with the sliding mechanism on the CYMA M14 SOCOM once in a while for the first couple of days that I owned it, now it just moves freely, and I didn't seem to do anything to break it. Why might this be, and what can I do to fix it?

Also, how do I wind up a magazine so that it works correctly and doesn't spray everywhere or loose it's tension while I'm using it?
magazine clip
The charging handle? If you pull it back and it doesn't shoot forward when you let it go, you might have broken/detached the spring that pulls it forward. That was the first thing that broke on my cyma soc16. Without disassembling your gun to see what's wrong there's not much you can do, I never fixed mine so I can't say.

Also, how do I wind up a magazine clip so that it works correctly and doesn't spray everywhere or loose it's tension while I'm using it?
Avoid saying clip, magazine is the correct term. I assume you're using a hicap, just keep winding the wheel until you hear it change to a clicking sound. If it keeps unwinding itself then you might have just gotten a faulty hicap. Look into getting some midcaps. Never needs winding and stops being a maraca.

Sorry I'm a bit sleep drunk, I never say that when i'm physically talking about it! :v:
Step 1, Find out which cable is positive and which one is negative (Red = + and Black = -)
Step 2, Cut the wires with the shit connector.
Step 3, Remove some insulation from wire
Step 4, Solder your tamaiya leads to the wire
Step 5, Stick your leads into the tamaiya plug (REMEMBER WHICH ONES IS PLUS AND WHICH ONE IS MINUS)
Ta-fuckin-da, you have now wadingadingalinga switched the connector on your gun/model airplane/sex toy/whatever
Have a good day.

Oh wait, you got one of these batteries?

Do this.

And then stick a tiny lipo in there.
The adapter I have doesn't leave room for literally anything in the battery compartment, I'd have to get a PEQ15 or something to store the battery in. I could get one of those cheap-o 15 dollar hollow ones, but I'd rather get one with a functional laser and battery space. is this possible?

I noticed that, I have a midcap kicking around but I noticed it doesn't have the winding wheel, my mind was too scared/blown to try it out. I thought it was a Chinese manufacturing defect or something. I guess I will try it now, cheers!

Make sure you have/get one of these:

Filling midcaps without a speedloader is a pain.

that red line is where they very commonly break, its a weak spot due to the potmetal used. Im guessing yours is broken there.
to check, pull down and remove the trigger guard. then, lift the receiver/barrel out of the stock. it will be very obvious if its broken or not
"I broke the charging handle with no effort, why might this be"
Because it's a CYMA.
So what were the worst purchases you guys have made in airsoft?
I once bought one of those NBB C96 Carbines, I had a lot of fun with it but man it was bad. Luckily it was also cheap.
Double Eagle M83, because everything spiraled downhill from there and now I'm pretty much broke.
Worst airsoft purchase I made was a WE Hi Capa Dragon 5.1.
It's currently sitting in my closet, and I have no idea what's wrong with it, nor do I really care.
Also, Condor Operator Plate Carrier, served me well for the first OP I did, then I started to realize how shitty it actually was.
Where can I find reasonably priced ERDL? Ebay seems to go anywhere from $20-$160.
Ebay's probably your best bet. Maybe surplus stores might have some ERDL, but i've got no idea.
I very recently bought a shirt for £35, which is the best price i've seen them going for in the UK. Sadly hats seem to be about the same price and i've not seen any pants in my size.

anyone know the best $100 m4?
There isn't one. Buy a Combat Machine for $40 more.

I cry everytiem
Does anyone know of any Mk8 goggles that are ANSI rated? Or would I have to make lenses?
Hey guys, is the S&T PP19 a clone of the Silverback one or is the Silverback name a rebranded S&T?
Silverback came out first IIRC. Preeeeeetty sure S&T copied them, not the other way around. From what I hear the Silverback PP19 is pretty damn awesome, and no S&T would ever be able to match that kind of quality.

Its funny because i nearly bought that for shiggles
Are there any good cheap 20rd (as in, short) AR midcaps? I realized my 30rd midcaps don't fit in M56 pouches or my bandolier and i've not got enough 20rd realcaps to fill both M56 pouches and my bandolier at the same time.

I heard the Dbags ones are gud
I like my G&Ps
When you buy a gun from wgcshop, do they put an orange flash hider on for import and do they include the original flash hider in the box? I buy tons of accessories and parts from overseas, but I tend to buy gats state side so I can avoid customs, but this particular bbblaster ain't available stateside yet.
What's the best simple 2-point sling? I'm looking for something that's literally just 2 hooks and a triglide. No fancy quick adjusts, no multiple triglide systems, no QD shit, none of that.
[editline]28th July 2014[/editline]
Something like the older surplus canvas AK slings, but with two hooks instead of one hook.
I seriously cant figure out how to run a sling with a PC. I run a JPC and a CIRAS.
I always run the sling around the head hole and through the shoulder pads. Not the most comfortable, but it keeps the sling from snagging on the pouches and it will keep it steady.
